The adventures return to town puzzled because of a magic they can't seem to figure out. Returning to find supplies, rest, and think things over. What will they find at the town of Ferran....

Your group enters the town of Ferran, it took you 3 days to get from the cave to here. Its a fairly large town, about 13 thousand people, hundreds of houses dot the city along with stores, several towers of stone, and a barracks located in the center of town which is not only used as the main place for the soldiers but as the towns keep. Four guards stand infront of the gate to the town, they are heavily armed and armored. They watch the group as the advance towards the town gates and after making a few mental notes they signal the gate keepers to open the gate. With a loud creak the mighty wooden gates slowly open and you are allowed to enter the town and do so as the gates close behind you.
The group wanders off(as they are currently away and shall be updated later) leaving the fighter Draqx, and the rouge Shiv the only two together.
((I want this done in turns.. Burgman makes a post... I answer it.. then draqx goes ninja ))

Shiv finds an un occupied corner. he look up at his companion and says " watch my back while i look to see it we got anything useful." He spreads out the stuff he retreived from the goblins and begins to look through it.(a search ckeck and i'm taking 20 on it, making my search rating a 28. I'm not rolling in a thread unless i have to.)

Draqx just sighed as he leaned against a wall while the rouge looked at the loot.
'right, though what bothers me is what that darkness stuff was, and how to get past that, otherwise they can just keep on raiding to thier hearts content.'

Draqx speaks to Shiv about the darkness, indeed it is a very unusual puzzle. While Draqx calmly talks Shiv looks around at his items and his surroundings(as anyone would...) and sees two roads, one that goes off to the North West and the other which goes off to the North East behind him lay the two towers to the gates, and the town gates themselves. There is a door next to him which leads into what appears to be the gate guardhouse. Directly north just as the road branches off lays a sign which tells various directions to important places, like Ferron's main barracks, the concentration of houses, the local pub, and a well known inn/pub in the region that goes by the name White Horse. People walk around up ahead near the sign and have not payed any real attention to the party that entered. Two guards however are eyeing Shiv suspiciously but other then that they don't seem to be overly interested. Anything else is just your standard town really.
((your welcome to use your own dice or the dice generator we were using in jigsaw surprised I don't really care as long as you roll dice in some form of way.))
((treat this style as a regular roleplay, except that for things to happen you have to rely on dice ninja go ahead and do what ever ya want now... if you want to stick together coordinate in your own way ^_^ and we can see how this goes))

Shiv puts away the items looking a little dissapointed. "Yea the darkness must ba a speel or somethin'. We gotta find somethin better than a light spell. Ok lets sell this stuff ato a vendor then i'm open to ideas." He collects the items and put them away. He gets up and walk up to one of the guards. "Pardon me my good man, could you direct me to the local market?"

Draqx ollowed, half distracted by the problem of the darkness, though he would not admit it, the oddness of the darkness had him worried and he had gone over the possibilities of it in his head all the way to town. The only things he could think of were possibilities that were ether dangerous or crazy... or a bit of both. Draqx commented to himself absent mindedly
'Ether we need a much stronger light... or fight fire with fire...'

The guard seemed to ignore Shiv, eyeing him occasionally. Shiv turned to his companion, with a bit of a smirk. "You mean Darkness with darkness, unless you can see in the blackest of the black, or feel the tremors in the earth, the advice of a powerful spell-caster would be our best option. What say we wander the town and see if we can find a vendor or a casting school. The advice of a Wizard would be our best bet."

Distracted Draqx answered a bit preoccupied with his train of thought.
'Good point, hey by the way, did you find anything good in the stuff you picked up? Something that might be useful in getting past that darkness. I am almost certain that they must have some method of getting past that safely. all we need is the key thing to do so as well... ah never mind me, I must be grasping at straws, the sooner we can find a wizard then the sooner I can stop worrying about this.

Shiv Shrugged "Just some bloody weapons and armor. i'll go ove it another try right before i sell it. might be a hidden pocket witha ring or gem. I'm not a magic user but i have the ability to use magic devices, so if we find a scroll or other magical device that could dispell the darkness then we are set. So which way do we head?"

((Sorry.. internet troubles sweatdrop )) ((hmm so far it seems like you guys are enjoying yourselves xd lol... maybe I should have just made a D&D RP and had the rules included xd lol your a group or soloist and I create stuff for you guys to do, like world of warcraft xd create quests and you guys go on it rofl .. might be worth considering...))
An old woman coughed a bit as she gives both Shiv and Draqx a look and then gives an old cackle. "Did my eats hear you mention about darkness?" She says as she walked towards the two adventurers. "What be ye both doing entering a dangerous place like that!" She says as she points her cane at both of you. "Them caves are cursed, anyone who enters the darkness never steps out!" She seems to wobble a bit and gives another cough.

curses or not, it must not be a one time thing as we have gone in and out a few times it seems, well okay one time was just to the cave mouth but still... oh well when in Ferran...
'Ah, interesting, but certainly those caves were not allway so were they... would you happen to know anything about what they were like before the darkness or whatever that stuff was...'

"Before the darkness? Its always been there.. no one goes into those caves.. dark things rest in there..." She seems to walk away. "Do not go into those caves.... or else you will suffer.... many enter.. none have left... none.. have left..." The woman slowly fades off into the crowd.
((Unless you wanted to steal from her x.x no, give you an idea... one of those.. THE OLD WOMAN moments... xd lol... never make sense those old women))

Shiv kicks a nearby stone.
"Well that was useless, lets find a vendor or a sleazy bar. I need to make some money."
Shiv looks around to see which path looks like the one leading to either of his desired destinations.
