I've been a real fan of it and stuff. The only problem is, I don't know how to do it and there are no vids on Youtube. Can someone show me or tell please!!

Flaring... it's all in the wrist. Practice doing a bottom to top flare, just a straight line.. the closer the tip is to the wall, the thinner the line. You're going to need some fats, NY Fats do the job. Then you move your can up and slowly tilt your wrist back like spraying at an angle... you'll notice, the farther the can the wider the lines... When you got that on lock, start practicing curves. The best letter to practice flaring with are "O's"... That's the best I can explain it, but the best way to learn is to just do it... trial, error, and apply... good luck, and stay up.

no no no if you wanna do flares its in your arms think of it as a pencil when you use your wrist you have to concentrate really hard to make a straight line and when you use yourwhole arm its easy once you practice...... now practice flares top to bottem first make a big ball by holding the can far from the wall (as big as you want your maximum flare) and if youre using krylon rocking an ny fat u have more time ,due to less preassure ... now bring your arm down and bring the can closer to the wall at the same time this will make a saber looking shape and the faster and farther you go (with practice) you can make complicated flares and at great speeds.
and the whole thing with your wrist .... you CAN do it but you might start making curved flares whice even tho they look cool actually make your style weak and over exaggerated....

this is too confusing, people are contradicting each other. I'll mess around with this next time i get something other than schwag paint.

Depends which way you're flaring.
I've heard/seen two ways and can do one.

One was already mentioned, which was flicking your wrist.
Basically you keep your arm in one spot and "flick" your wrist.
By flicking it you pull away the spray and then it broadens, causing
a flare.

Another way is with german outlines #2, these have it where the harder
you press the bigger the dot. So, basically you press lightly and as you go
towards the flare you want you push harder. This is one I made up, but haven't tested just I think it'd work.

Youtube doesn't have vids that teach you, but you can just watch some of the
ones where someone does it, it's pretty easy to mimic in my opinion.

German outlines are WAY to thin lmao...... the way with flicking your wrist limits the size of your flares and can make your style look weak the ticket to a good handstyle is 1.experience (which even i need
2.structure
and the 3rd would be your own style of course no one likes a bitter lol
but if you need help look up flares (and graff otherwise you get break dancing or lame science experiments) on youtibe..... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ua86XKw0qFk&feature=related
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gzzkBM5iuTo&NR=1
the second one is why you shouldnt use your wrist and use your arm just pay CLOSE attention biggrin this should help you guys but ill try to make an instructional video soon ill hit you guys up when its runnin

I just got ahold of a few fat caps yesterday from those valspar cans. Fat caps make flaring easy as hell.

use your wrist, arm whatever. as long as the can changes distance from the wall. as the cans get further from the wall the line will become fatter and more misty. get some plywood or something and experiment with it.

one... I'm experienced... two... I KNOW how to flare... three... Just test it out for yourself, I explained it already how the flares work. you can't flare with just your arm, you need to use your wrist to tilt and spray at an angle, and it aint nothing like using a pencil man... I'm not here to argue, I'm here to pass down what I know. So all I have to say is Nike.........

JUST DO IT!

The best way to learn is to just do it... Put it through trial, find your errors, and apply to it... Repeat until you're satisfied...

Piece up, peace out, and stay up...

nightmerz
ehh what is flare tagging
It is a type of tagging in which you use a fat cap to make a simple tag that changes size. I believe that is how you would define it. If not, someone correct me. It is a cool form of tagging.
