WIF Summerslam

I'm glad to announce WIF's return to pay per view with the biggest party of the summer (except for JR's 4th of July Barbecue, but that shouldn't count): Summerslam! Because the 8-man tournament for #1 contendership for the WIF title is in progress, that title will not be defended on the PPV, but all other titles will be up for grabs! If you have any feuds going or are starting them, sign up a specific match with what you want. If not, I'll book automatically.

Match Card:

Hugh Morris vs. Paul Burchill

Chris Jericho vs. The Undertaker w/ Jerry Lynn

Brother Ray vs. Ken Kennedy vs. Val Venis-Tables Match (Rules will be posted on first post of the match thread)

Jamie Noble and JTG vs. The Sad Clowns (Mankind and Kane w/ Doink)-Hardcore Tag Match

-DX (HHH and HBK) vs. British Bulldog and Owen Hart

-Ric Flair vs. Stone Cold vs. Randy Orton -Legend vs. Legend vs. Legend Killer

-Razor Ramon (C) vs. Sabu vs. The Rock- Falls Count Anywhere for the Hardcore Title

-WIF Champion The Miz vs. Former Champ Petey Williams-Non Title Contest

-Mickie James vs. Lita (C) III-Rubber Match for the Women's Title

-Intercontinental Champion John Morrison vs. US Champion Batista (unification match)

-Edge and Christian vs. Killings and Mayweather (C) w/ Goldberg-TLC for the WIF Tag Titles

I'm unifying the titles because we don't have enough people to challenge for both. And whichever title wins is going to be kept, and the other will be retired. It's just easier. This way we have one main event title, one midcard, one specialty title, a woman's title, and a tag title.

And another thing. No WIF title defense at SummerSlam? Isn't that a first? What's the main event going to be?

I'm going to make an interesting special rules match for the main event. And we went a very long time before we even crowned a WIF champ, believe it or not, it was several PPVs into our history before we got one. I just don't want to make a messy situation out of the tournament, because I'm really liking the way it's coming together and I'd rather make the next PPV, where the title match will happen, to be all the more important.

I don't want to rush the tournament, because you've still got three rounds after these matches are done. I'd rather make sure all matches get finished regularly (meaning no deadline dice roll finishes) and we have a conclusive #1 contender.
