Alright, I'm one of those AAers that only has craft items. The reason for this being quite simple: my digital work could not stand up against other artists. I do however get decent comments on my colored pencil pieces. It got me thinking that maybe I could sell that at our AA table, but that brings up the issue any traditional artist would have and that's the fact that I couldn't (or I feel shouldn't, at least) sell them as prints.

I have no problem with this, but I really couldn't do commissions either as all my time is taken up making pins/magnets, so I'd only be able to try and sell whatever originals I had with me. So before I go and draw up a bunch, I wanted some feedback - I'm ALWAYS open for constructive criticism! ^_^

Unlike the majority of these, it would be fanart (though perhaps some originals if I feel so led), but the style would be the same. They are all 8 1/2 x 11, and would be done on nice quality white paper (these were just from my sketch book) using Prismacolor pencils.

Good idea? Bad idea? Needs improvement? Is the lack of a background bothersome? Pricing...?

Your art is very nice, but I have to say... the texture of the paper is bothering me. : Do you have any examples of what it will look like on the paper you plan to use?

I'm afraid I don't at the moment, but I can try to make something up in the next few days - thanks for the input! If the texture issue can be fixed, any other thoughts?

Not really. smile Your art is cute, and I think it would sell. I don't really see what's wrong with making prints of a traditional piece, though.

Thanks! ^_^

I don't know, I just always felt that work made traditionally shouldn't be made into prints, but perhaps I'm the only one with this mindset. ^_^;; Hmm, I think I'll start a topic in the main forum, see if I can't find out other people's opinions on the matter.
