These odd bumps in the roller coaster of emotions never disrupt Colton's willingness to bring happiness to the people around him, though. Nope, nothing ever gets in the way of that.

Yay! I won two little Bytes for my Hyte! xd Colton seems a bit too curious to find out what they're going to be, so I've stashed them away on the top shelf of my bookcase. Hopefully, they don't fall. eek

The Bytes evolved into Stocking Stuffers! Colton likes to watch them poke their heads in and out of the stocking. Though, he's asked me why they look like aliens. neutral I just tell him that they're "different" from him; nothing like a little diversity lesson during the holiday season. xd

:Toys and Gifts:  A little plushie that might turn into something... ?! Who knows? Colton seems to want to bury his new puppy teeth into it, but I won't let him because what if it does turn into something? eek
 A little gift that I found for Colton in a shop as a freebie. Quite cute actually. Maybe I'll be getting more? rolleyes

1.19.2008~2.12.2008 --> Drama Period, including some protectiveness of Lilith, issues with Maxwell doting on Lilith, trying to decide between 'Mena and Lilith, wanting to squish Lilith, wanting to hug Lilith, and otherwise all those other Lilith-related things.
2.13.2008 --> Finally realized that it's better to be cute and dependable when everyone likes you, rather than dramatic and such. Colton becomes the well-adjusted puppy!teen that he should be.
2.14.2008 --> Eats around 3 lbs. of chocolate. Gets sick and complains a lot about Kuro leaving her chocolate out for anyone to eat.

Wasn't expecting this at all. I was studying for my Poli Sci exam, reviewing Machiavelli and Hobbes when I decided that I needed a break for a nap. Well, my nap went a little longer than expected. sweatdrop I woke up at around midnight and realized that the tube, which I had been keeping next to my bed, had rolled under my bed. There was much freaking out when I realized that it was empty; I could look inside the tube and it was all metal-y and smooth. First, I felt cheated of something special (like the golden retriever the pamphlet at mentioned). But, then I felt a little guilt. Who would have known that it was possible? Why had I believed it? stare So, I simply climbed back into bed. Only to discover there was a rather soft, cute, furry blond pillow on my bed. blaugh So, as it was late at night and Colton (as I'm going to name him that) was almost, mostly fast asleep - his tail wagged, but he didn't open his eyes - I decided to wait until the morning to play and frolic and... play and frolic. whee Alas, when morning did come, I experienced my first puppy dog alarm clock fash-washing. When I glanced at the clock, it said it was 6:00 am EST. I appreciated the concern (if it was concern for me at all and not just Colt wanting to play), but it's Saturday now and I can sleep in. Well, I'm not sleeping anymore, but I did sleep in. Kind of. With Colton flopped on top of me and twitching as if he were dreaming of chasing rabbits and squirrels and other woodland creatures. (Not iguanas, however. Those aren't woodland. mrgreen ) So, now, I should probably go and check in with the other Hyte owners and see if they're getting a bit fidgety with the new occurrences. It seems that Colton has learned a new trick: howling. stare And I'm not so sure I like it very much. I think he learned it from listening to the wolves that hang out in the forest behind my house. Probably a bad idea to let him wander around in the dark out there. eek But, that's common sense. Anyways, a little news update: Colt has been expanding - horizontally. I woke up a few days ago and realized that there was a weight too heavy to be my cute itsy-bitsy puppy on my stomach. Yet, when I actually opened my eyes to see... there he was. A round, rotund mass of fur and wagging tail. I wasn't sure what to do with him since I didn't want to send him outside with nobody to watch him as I studied for my exams, so I simply let him be. I realize that that wasn't the best decision on my part. When I came out of my room from studying, there were small piles of white and grey feathers everywhere; on the floor, on my bed, on my desk, in my bookcase. But, wherever I looked, I couldn't find the force of devastation that had created it all.
I looked most of the conventional places, like under the bed, in the closet, but there was no little ball of furry hyperactivity to be seen. Instead of panicking, I simply shrugged and waited for whatever sign Colton was waiting for to pounce on me. Eventually it happened and I got bowled over by a substantially larger puppy. I wonder how big he's going to grow when he actually decides to grow up and get mature. xp Well, I guess I'm going to have to go out and buy the rest of the groceries... 21.21.2007

[le sigh] Colton likes the winter. Apparently. He's been spending more and more time outside now that there's snow on the ground (though there's supposed to be a big storm coming in tonight, meaning I'm going to at least see him around the house for today). I really wish he would just stop trekking snow into the house when he comes in; the least he can do is shake himself off before he comes galloping through the front foyer, right? scream But, he's too cute to yell at. sweatdrop
Well, I'm starting to feel like a bad parent because I let Colton have (basically) anything that he asks for. Maybe I should start disciplining him? But, he's so dependable that I don't really have a problem trusting him around inappropriate topics that he knows he shouldn't talk about. The only problem is the topics that he doesn't know are inappropriate (read: boob jobs and pimps). Sometimes, I just can't wait until he grows up and starts to pick up on subtle signs. But, then again, I never want him to grow up because he's just too adorable as a young'un. Hopefully, he'll keep his devilishly good looks when he's older. rolleyes

So, Mom said I could have this cool journal thing. And she said that I could put whatever I wanted in it. So, I guess I'll do that.
I found this neat space under the bed where all this dust is. I made myself a beard and a moustache, but Mom told me that it was dirty and I had to take a bath after. It wasn't very much fun. Well, the dust was fun, but the bath wasn't; I like taking baths by myself, but she came back every five seconds to check on me. I wasn't going to drown or anything. rolleyes And this morning, Mom said that I couldn't follow her to work and that I had to stay behind with my great-grandparents. They're fun people and all, but they can't show me how to use the magic box. And I really want to know how to use the magic box! It's not fair that Desi and Mena know about the cool stuff and I don't know any stuff. And Mom says that I can't tell them about the only thing I do know about, which is pimps and pimpettes and why Mom can take off her boob job. Adults are no fun, sometimes.
I wish I was grown up, so then I could go and do fun stuff like Mom does; this college thing that she's talking about seems like a lot of work, but she always tells me that it's a lot more fun than trying to get there in the first place. [sigh] Maybe I'm just destined to be ignorant. As a parent, I don't know how I came about talking to my little Colton about pimps and breast enhancements at such an early age; all I know is that he wouldn't stop asking me when I came home. (And it's pretty hard to deny a cute boy who's wagging his tail something that he really wants - though I have denied him knowledge of the magic box to this point xd ) [sigh] Sometimes, you just can't deny a pretty face.
This whole thing came about when I got a, erm, "present" (well, it really was a present!) from Ruthie. She got me a pair of fitted shirts that . . . "enhanced" some features. I had then had to explain to Colton that I was not his pimpette just because he slept in bed with me. And then that led to the question and answer session that resulted in him knowing far too much about... well, everything. I've ordered him not to tell anyone of what he knows because that's just plain embarrassing; I mean, he's still just a kid for goodness' sake.
Anyways, at least he's able to talk and interact and ask questions now. When he was a puppy, Colt always looked so eager to communicate that I wished I could speak puppy just to tell him that I'd be able to understand him soon. whee And I still think he's adorable and cute! (though, he doesn't like me going around and showing people pictures of him because he thinks it's embarrassing.) xp
