hi, so this will be my first story and i decided on making it a (hopefully) short horror story. i'll be working on it for a while and i'll post it when i'm finished.
This seemingly useless post is just here to clarify that i'm working on the story and not just not posting anything for a few days ^^ and so i hope that you'll like it and that it actually turns out to be a bit scary ^^ (when it's actually finished....) thank you

thnk you, well here's part one, part two is coming along and will be posted shortly ^^

“There is a story, a ghost story in fact, behind the old 1800’s Victorian house at the end of the street.
It has only had one owner since the day it was built, and that one owner haunts the house to this day.
The man who owned the house was a doctor, Dr. Vernon Gaul and at that time he was the only doctor in the neighborhood, and so everyone had to go to see him when they got sick.
He seemed to be a decent enough guy and most of his patients went home with potions or pills that might have or might not have worked since medicine at that time was half science and half hocus-pocus after all.

But anyways I say most of his patients because some of them went into his house for help and were never seen again. All of them had three traits in common; they were all around 17 to 20 years old, good-looking, and very well proportioned.

Well because of these disappearances, several rumors were started; all of which the doctor obviously denied. But there was one rumor that when mentioned around him caused him to nervously put on a twitchy smile and made his eyeballs jerk from side to side in a funny way.
The rumor was that he was collecting the bodies of the young men and women and working strange experiments on them.

One day while the doctor was away, in fact today almost 200 years ago, a young boy whose brother was among those who had disappeared decided to go into the doctor’s house to try to find him, or at least what had happened to him.
He went through room after room until he had practically searched the entire house up to down, but still he couldn’t find anything.

Tired and disappointed, he stopped to rest in the last room he had been searching, incidentally, the surgical room.
As he sat down he heard a dull slightly echoed “thup”.
Confused, he got up, lifted the carpet covering the floor and lo-and-behold, found a hidden door.
He trembled with anxiety as he pulled open the door and began to go down into the dark basement.

When he reached the last step and walked into the room he started to blindly feel along the wall, hoping to find a light source.
As he went along, his hands and shirt became very wet with something he figured must be water since the room was incredibly damp.

After inching along for a few minutes, he felt what seemed to be a lamp, and took it off the wall. He turned it on, but a moment later it wasn’t a lamp anymore; it became simply a mass of shattered glass and a bronze stand since he dropped it almost as soon as he turned it on and began to scream.

Hanging in the middle of the room were the dead bodies of the young people who had gone missing. They were all in a bloody mess and several of them were missing limbs, including his brother. And to his horror, the wet stuff he had thought was water was actually the splatters of their blood.

In one corner of the room were two beds on which were two frankensteins that had been created from the various body parts of the young men and women.

The poor boy continued screaming for what seemed like hours but was probably only a few minutes. Then he ran up the stairs, out of the house and into the street where he continued to scream and began to cry; causing everyone in the houses around to come out to see what was going on.

The doctor was arrested soon after the discovery and sentenced to death. As he was being led away he continually screamed, “All I was trying to do was create the perfect human, the perfect human! A benefit to mankind, how was I wrong! Tell me, how you can justify my dream to be wrong!”

After he was killed, the young men and women were removed from his basement and returned to their families for them to mourn over.

And so the story goes, that since the day of his death, the doctor’s ghost has haunted his house, just waiting for someone to go inside so that he can once again try to create his “perfect human.”
Lizzy ended the story with a mocking “Ooooooohhhhh!” which started a low laugh throughout the group congregated in her backyard.

“Now how’s that for an awesome scary story huh? I should win a medal or at least a plaque right?” She said falling back against a tree and crossing her arms behind her head.
“Lizzy, we all already know that story! In fact we’ve heard it a thousand times since we were kids!” I said sarcastically.
“True, but I just tell it so much better then anyone else,” she said with a grand wave of her hand.
That got us laughing even more.

“So!” Lizzy loudly declared while slapping her knees, “who wants to spend a night in the spooooookkkyyyyyy haunted house?” .

Everyone looked at one another and started to laugh, nervously.
It wasn’t that we believed the story or anything, it was just that it was a scary old house and no one wanted to stay in it.
“Oh, you’re all such sissies really, April why don’t you go?” she said pointing and leaning toward me.
“Fine, why not.” I said with a shrug, “but what do I get if I do?”
Lizzy reached up to her ears and took off her earrings. They were the most gorgeous earrings and I had been begging her to sell them to me for ages.

They were made from cloudy purple moonstones that sparkled in the sun and gave off an eerie glow in the moonlight. The moonstones were encircled by thin bands of white gold which were connected to the white gold hooks.

“I’ll give you these if you do.” Lizzy said with a smile.
I gaped, “seriously? You’ll just give them to me?” I said in shock and delight.
“Sure why not,” she said with a smile. “We’re graduating after all and going our separate ways, think of it as a good-bye present, although of course at a price.”

“I’ll do it!” I said getting up
“I’ll do it and collect my prize tomorrow morning! You better hand them over tomorrow cause if you don’t I’m going to get them by force!” I shouted as I started running home to get ready for my sleepover in the old Gaul house.
