I sware I have never seen a centaur in any anime/manga, why come though? Its so wierd, why must neko-people and mermaids be accepted but no centaurs? This is a travesty! scream If anyone has ever seen one with a centaur in it I'm curious to know. smile

and for some reason, I want to think that El Hazard had a few too.
The overall lack of Centaur is somewhat strange, though.

I've only watched like... 5 different animes, so I can't really say anything there. I'm pretty sure Yugioh probably has some sort of centaur-shaped monster though.

I remember seeing something in /b/, 4chan(I dont frequent just occasional boredom >< ) it was one page of a manga with a centaur ... with wings(i think) but it was uh... Hentai.

Does that new old spice commercial count? and Yes Yu-Gi-Oh! has a centaur its called "Rabid Horse Man" but it really sucks. sad

Centaurs where not really (if at all)in japanese folklore I don't think. Mermaids where though if I remember right.

Oh yeah Yugioh did have centaur, but it was bad of course.
I guess Centaur just aren't cute and anime like. (but they can be, just look at Gaia!)

Digimon had one also, but that's really it. You know, you would think that InuYasha might have one also, considering all the other wierd stuff they got in it...
It's too bad, but I guess centaurs never appealed to the Japanese...

There's a number of anime-style games with centaurs in it if you look around. Shining Force is a notable one.

You dont really see a lot of Grecian style mythological creatures in anime and manga.

I don't know if it counts but in Saint Seiya the golden Sagatarius armor is very important. So yeah, it's kind of a centaur.
