Apparently baby penguins are being washed ashore hundreds of miles away from their native lands. 300 have been found dead or alive in Bahia state in Brazil. You can find out more here. Three theories as to why are given. What do you think?

Well the title caught my attention! xd But anyways, I think the blatantly obvious is that the ocean currents are forcing them to the equator. I not an expert or anything, but I don't think that they could swim that far anyways. I could be wrong though. It's just a guess.

Personally I think that is a great example of modern evolution at it's peaks. Natural events cause a species to be seperated from the main population giving population B new and different oppurtunities to grow from population A. So if this were to continue and left undisturbed we may come to see the dawn of a new species of penguin in the next few hundred years or so. Maybe sooner ^^
