Taking a break from her motherly duties was something that she knew better than to do, but with the promise that she would return within a days time, Mana had left her family's side to return to her usual habits. Being pinned down in one area was hard for her, and to be able to let the winds carry her wherever they wanted was a blessing. She simply let herself become the wind, letting nothing stop her from where it willed to take her.

Old habits died hard. Before she had realized it, she had gone much further away from home that she indended to. Because of this, she let herself take form again, her feet touching the ground daintly before the wind released her, gravity setting in. With a small 'huff', she settled herself back onto the ground, her emerald eyes glancing around to see just where she was. The sun grew tired, readying itself to settle into the night. The savannah around her glowed in a rich golden colour, the sky beginning it's daily ritual of painting the sky wonderous colours before the night claimed everything. It was apparent that she wouldn't be able to return home before night fell.

With a small sigh, she gathered her long wings at her side, knowing that she'd spend the night out in the open. No matter, it just wasn't what she had been expecting during this day.

As she settled into a comfortable position on the ground, she heard a familiar call on the wind. "Kokia," she said softly, feeling the little tickle of her avian friend's toes as she landed on the goddess' paw.

"Mother Wind," the bird cried softly. "Oh, I didn't want you to be alone tonight. It took me a while to catch up to you, but I've found you!"

The goddess smiled to herself, always humored by her little friend. "I apologize, Kokia. You may spend the night with me if you wish, as long as you watch the sunset with me in some mild peace." She loved her little Kokia, but there were times when she wished that the bird would be a little more quiet.

Both Nyack and Bai Feng had insisted that Taban took some time away from the troupe to pursue the golden goddess he'd encountered once before. The squires of the troupe all knew the story by then and insisted that he continue it. Perhaps it was to further stroke the cheetah's ego, or perhaps the cheetah was so well caught up in his own tale that he simply could not leave it unfinished. As time went on, the thought surfaced in his mind more and more until finally, he found himself racing over the grassland once more.

He didn't think it was love... love was something that was so rare, so precious...that few ever actually found it. It wasn't something that was normally waisted on someone such as himself.

His eyes narrowed as he raced, lungs burning, muscles pushing themselves to their limits as he raced over the hills and flats of the grassland. It never took long for the wind to run thin in his lungs, his muscles burning as he slowed himself. The cheetah never simply stopped after a run, it left him feeling stiff and sore. Instead, he walked, his mouth parted as he walked along.

A pair of voices caught his attention. One ear rotated around before his eyes followed. It couldn't be!

The cheetah took a long, deep series of breaths before he calmly began over towards the golden winged goddess.
