Good day everyone, in this class we will explore the fundamentals of elemental magic and the skill levels that accompany them. Now to begin please open your text books for page seven and follow along closely. There are ....surprizes for those who don't. *wry smile*

(The stats reflected here correspond with the stats form you filled out for your character. Please review it to know where you fall.)

(Credit is given to the players or characters that have created each spell, this does not mean that others may not use these spells. However, it would be nice if you cleared this with the creator first... Just in case the spell is something personalized for their character alone.)

Resistance: [© Blade]
Passive ability to have a natural resistance to the user's elemental preference. The user may only have one elemental resistance. In return, the user may also have natural "weakness" of sorts to another element. (Strength against Air / Weak against Water)

Ignition: [© Blade]
Simply light something on fire by touch. May also be used on weaponry during use. This may also just be igniting one's hands.

Level 2
Info goes here.

Fireball: [© Blade]
Throw a fireball that may cause a burn.

Fire Breathing v.0.5: [© Blade]
For those that can't actually breathe fire, have some sort of flammable fluid at hand. Use ignition technique as a lighter while spraying out flammable liquid from lips. This may back fire.

Level 3
Info goes here.

Cauterize: [© Blade]
Using the ignition technique, the user may burn an open wound in an attempt to seal the blood veins. It definitely won't be painless for the injured, and will cause some burns most likely, but it should at least stop the bleeding... which is what's important. However, this will be harder to use on those that don't burn easily.

Skilled

Level 1
Info goes here.

Explosive Fireball: [© Blade]
Like fireball... only it can explode upon contact to deal more damage.

Flame's Edge: [© Blade]
Slash the air with a bladed weapon to send a crescent of flames at a target. The flame may be able to cut depending on skill level.

Firestone: [© Hanse]
The caster imbues the power of fire into a stone, granting the wielder slightly increased fire magic; if combined with a weapon instead of a stone, grants the weapon fire damage.

Fire Ward: [© Hanse]
Increases overall resistance to fire for a few moments by decreasing the temperate near the target or caster, but also increasing the temperature near the body, creating a layered effect of hot/cold/hot.

Level 2
Info goes here.

Heat Wave: [© Hanse]
The caster generates an arch of flame that expands outward from themselves; can be projected in any direction.

Level 3
Info goes here.

Searing Pain: [© Hanse]
The caster increases the overall temperature surrounding their target to the point that flesh begins to boil and burn.

Conflagrate: [© Hanse]
To be used after Searing Pain; increases the temperature around the target already effected by Searing Pain to the point of ignition.

Pyroblast: [© Hanse]
Caster generates an intense ball of fire, then hurls it at their target. Longer concentration yields much higher temperature, but increases risk of loss of control.

Master

(Magma Attainable at Level 3)

Level 1
Info goes here.

Breath of Fire: [© Mitsu]
The caster is able to breath fire taking in a deep breath of air and expelling it from the bottom of the lungs. The attack shots toward the opponent in a flame thrower action and can cause a great deal of damage. (Short time spans between use, it uses a lot of energy not to mention air. Might feel light headed.)

Immolate: [© Hanse]
The caster emits a stream of fire from their selected origin (Hand, Hands, Mouth, etc) to burn their target.

Inner Burn: [© Hanse]
The caster attempts to ignite the target's internal gases and organs, high failure rate due to inability to see and thus control the temperature and flames inside a body.

Level 2
Info goes here.

Flame Puppeteer: [© Blade]
The user creates a creature of flames to be controlled at their disposal. Those that aren't as skilled yet must stay in place to be able to control their fire puppet. As for the exact creature, it's up to the user. Keeping a puppet out for long periods of time will lead to exhaustion.

Rain of Fire: [© Hanse]
Caster generates several orbs of fire and then tosses them into the air, when a sufficient height is reached, each orb explodes into a rain of fire basically, cascading down with hazardous effects to the surrounding area.

Level 3
Info goes here.

Inferno: [© Hanse]
Rapidly increases the temperature around the caster until the point of spontaneous combustion is reached for the surrounding area; effectively causing the area around the caster to catch on fire. Unless the caster has a high resistance to fire, this spell will also cause damage to the caster.

-Lesson Five-

White Magic

Novice

Level 1
You understand that there is White Magic and you wished that you knew how that worked now that you're trying to tape up your boo-boo with a band-aid.

This level is not educated enough to use magic.

Level 2
Gasp! You think you've learned how to heal that little scratch you got when you tripped over your own feet! Oh. No, wait. That was just the medicine that grandma gave you. You've got a better understanding of the magic, but not well enough to cast just yet.

This level is not educated enough to use magic.

Level 3
All of your hard work has paid off! You're finally able to manage some weaker spell casting. Too bad you're still pretty worthless.

Simple Heal: [© Skye]
Caster heals a minor wound (paper cut and minor bruising).

Healing Touch: [© Mitsu]
A small touch of the hands can cure minor injuries such as scraps and bruises. Large gashes and major injuries it will have no effect on.

A Tingling Sensation: [© Skye]
Caster causes the target's body to receive a small tingling sensation by stimulating the nerves with very light touch of magic.

[Pay Hitsu no mind, she's moving crap around right now to get things better organized. This'll be fixed before you know it.]
Levels of Ability
Novice:
This character can heal things as minor as scrapes, bruises and small cuts or scratches. This is limited to a Novice that is very close to reaching the next skill level.

Average:
Aforementioned abilities. Moderate sized lacerations can be stopped from bleeding, smaller lacerations can be healed shut. Muscle injuries such as sprains and tears can be eased, but not completely fixed. Subject will still take no less than half of the normal recovery time for any given handicap.

Skilled:
Aforementioned abilities. Lacerations, unless deep into the torso, can be fully healed. If too much blood is lost, the subject will still be in danger until blood can replenish itself. Bones can be set, healed to the point that they will not fracture under normal use. Heavy use of a broken limb has high chance of causing it to break a second time, subject needs to limit use so that the bone can finish healing as normal to prevent this from happening. Organ damage can be eased, but not completely eliminated. Cells can be replenished to an extent, this includes blood. Intense injury and blood loss is still very high risk. With more serious injuries, magic user and subject will both need a long rest to recover their strength.

Master:
Aforementioned abilities. Those who have mastered healing magic can manage nearly any problem, but it will take a great toll on them and they will need to rest for a good while to regain their strength. Therefore, it is dangerous for them to save a life if they would be putting their own at risk. Broken bones can be completely mended, and limbs can be re-attached if this is done quickly and before effected organs/tissues have died. Blood loss is not a worry, and a victim can be brought back from the brink of death, including injuries repaired, within fifteen minutes after cardiac arrest.

Superhuman:
Aforementioned abilities. This character can literally raise the dead with no long-term ill effects on the subject, within three full days after cardiac arrest.
