Ladies and Gentlemen, and those yet to have decide....I welcome you to a tale wrought from the ideas of many for the purpose of one.
Monday.Six-thirty am. The sun still peeking his head through the clouds. The S.S. SOS sails the calm waters of Gaia, towards its last stop. Gaian Arts Academy. The top deck, open to the morning air is a low hush of sounds as many students, already in uniform, still carry sleep in their eyes.
This is it, isn't? Lilith leaned further off the bow of the ship, zooming her camera so that she may have the first glimpse of the school she was promised a home. I hope it's everything they said it would be. Her musings were brought ajar when...
"Crap!" She yelped as she struggled to catch her camera. A boy looking rather green, had bumped into her, causing the camera to slip.
"I'm.....sor.."He never finished, puked right off the side of the ship. She felt bad for the boy and began to rub circles on his back.
"Shh...it's okay man." The boy look back and began to smile, only to vomit once more. "Wait here, I'll see if the captain has something for ya." Whether he heard her or not, she wanted an excuse to get away from the sickly boy. i feel the same way kid...
When she reached the Ferry's helm, there stood a strange man in a yellow raincoat, speaking to someone out of sight. "Oh Sam, don't you just love the new ones....they smell so fresh and guppie!" With her camera still on and recording, she zoomed in to see. A Flamingo!?!
"What can I do ya for little lady?" The man in yellow turned to his new, living, guest. A silly grin graced his silly face.
"oh...um..."
"I'm Larry, Larry the Ferryman. And this here is Samantha" He brought foward his plastic friend. Lilith couldn't help but smile.
"Oh...um...hey, there's this kid..."Her request was cut shortly when a loud splash was heard off the port side. Like second nature, Lilith turned the camera towards the commotion and zoomed. Almost all the students, even the ones who'd been below deck, were gathered around. Lilith zoomed further and finally saw what had captivated such a large audience.

Zaith still in his seat turns his head to the pore boy, agitated by the commotion then, turning to the girl with the camera he got up and walked over to her then Stopping in front of her.
"You should try and help him." he whispered walking by, acting as if he didn't notice them.
Then he walked to the stern of the bout where it was quieter, closing his eyes as the wind rushed past his face.

Mia went from below deck to outside of the S.S. SOS. She couldn't stand being below deck much longer. It smelled, boys were fighting, and someone threw a paper airplane at her, all of them were things that she dispised.
So she grabbed her pencil and sketch book, and went up deck. As she walked up the stairs, she noticed a boy was puking over the side. He must have been below deck too. Maybe I should... She went to approach him, but to late. He pucked on the side of the deck once more. She slowly moved away, too shy to approach him again. the story of my life, I try to talk to someone and the puck at you.
She went to the side and began to sketch seagulls over the horizon. Suddenly she heard a loud splash. "W-what the?" Mia rushed over and noticed a huge crowd where she was before. Oh no, don't tell me. She pushed through the crowd and looked to the side. The boy from earlier was bobbing to and fro. "Help, help me!", he screamed. Mia went pale watching him. Ah, ah. What to do? What to do? She nervously shaked as she tried to come up with a solution.

Six forty-eight a.m. The sun starts to rise.... but someone forgot to set their clock!
"Holy crap! I'm late!"said Gekko. The voice of the shadow spirit of doubt start to play in his head."I told you to set the clock. It's best if you just stayed in today."
"No way, not on the first day!" He jumped into his uniform, grabbed his bag and ran out the door. He made it a few blocks away from the dock before the ferry started to leave.
"Gah!" The spirit spoke. "Come on Gekko. Let's just crawl back into bed and call it quits. I doubt today will be good anyway." Gekko spotted a piano being pulled to a rooftop.
The spirit reaper jumped in. "Do it." The spirit of doubt said, "I don't think that's such a good idea." Gekko ran over to the guys hoisting the piano and asked them how much the piano costs. One man responded, "About 1550g, why?"
Gekko sighed and said, "Just in my limit." He took out whatever money he had and dropped it. Then, from out of nowhere, he summoned a black sword, grabbed the hoisting rope and cut it. The piano hit the ground and he was thrown into the air. He flew a great distance, but the ferry was too far away. He fell in the water and the ferry continued on.
He surfaced, depressed, and the spirit of doubt said, "See? We should've stayed home." Just then, a man wearing a yellow jacket and holding a lawn flamingo asked him if he was okay. Gekko said, "I just missed the ferry to my school." The man said,"The only school I know that you need a ferry to is the school this boat goes to..." He looked around to make sure no one was paying attention and whispered, "Gaian Arts."
Gekko looked at the ferry and read the name of it "S.S. S.O.S." He floated in the water, feeling confused and embarrassed, and the man helped him onto the ferry. Gekko introduced himself and the man said, "My name's Larry." He held his flamingo in front of Gekko's face and grinned. "And this is Samantha! Say hi to Sammy!" Gekko, still confused, said, "Uhh, hi?" Maybe this year might be a little different.

Six fifty A.M.
Linda looked out at the now interesting commotion occuring on deck. Hm...Seems like another student late. Well, I can't exactly consider myself as an early bird, either... Linda had a terrible morning. She woke up at five-thirty, wishing she could've just not have such terrible luck. Leave it to me to fall off a building and come out looking like a psychopath... she thought to herself as she reflected on the reason she was going to the school for gifted Gaians.
Linda's life would've been like a normal Gaian, until her uncle, in a drunk stupor, accidentally pushed her off a five-story Durem apartment while she was lighting fireworks. She fell on a bush that nobody ever remembered was there, firecrackers were burning the hell out of the bush, and her two upper canine teeth broke into sharp, jagged fang-like teeth. Needless to say, her relatives thought she conjured the plant to break her fall, and then was disposing of the plant by burning it, all while growing fangs like a vampire. To top it off, her vision became altered in a weird way, and her once-brown eyes became black. The result: Her parents switched her from Durem University to some school that was only for people... People who actually have powers...
Linda looked at the 57° arc that a boy who was attempting to catapault himself onto...somewhere... Linda shook her head. There I go again. Maybe actually talking to someone might shake these stupid numbers out of my head.
She messed with her dark scarf (meant to hide her now pointy teeth) until she found it satisfactory, and walked over to the nearest fellow student, her sword only lightly thumping against the guitar on her back.
She overheard a slightly senile man talking to his plastic flamingo, while boy-who-flung-into-water listened. "My name's Larry. And this is Samanta! Say hi to Sammy!"
Linda looked at the bad-angle-to-fly boy and unblinkingly stared while she spoke. "Hello there. I see you've had a bad start to the day," she joked, offering a towel.

It had been a boy. On a piano. In the middle of the Gaian ocean. Just floating. And yes, he was a student about to attend G.A. Lilith giggled a bit when she recorded Larry introducing Sammy to the wet boy. Zooming out, she saw a girl with blood red hair handing the boy a towel. that's nice
"You should try and help him." A voice whispered sweetly into her ear. She turned to see a boy with horns walk away. Silently. That's when it clicked in her head. barf boy! She ran off to the other side of the ship, where said "barf boy" was located.
He sat slump on a bench, close to the edge. guess he might as well be Zooming in, she got a good look at the boy's features. He had coal dark eyes, light platinum hair, and albaster skin. With the HD qualities on her cam, she could tell he was a might older than boy.maybe early twenties? He wore a a finely embroided vest, silk shirt, and crisp, clean slacks. This man came from money.
Something must have told him he was being watched, because through his miasma of nausea, Justin looked up. A girl with a camcorder. oh...piss off. Lilith clearly saw the disdain in the guy's face and turned her camera off. Approaching him she spoke.
"Sorry man, the camera's my eyes." Justin just looked at the girl like she was the stupidest thing in the world. And then his breakfast came up.
Damn, I knew I shouldn't have trusted that idiot! "Jus one more"he said "Come on, you can handle it"he said. Last time I ever f...
"Have a strawberry!" Lilith had taken a seat next to the man and was digging in her bag. "Strawberries help settle stomaches." She smiled as she placed the bright red fruit in his hand. He stare at it. Then caused it to disappear in the dark chasm that was his mouth.
"So Speilberg, you walk around handing fruit to just anybody? The contempt in his voice was evident but Lilith wasn't one to care.
"Name's Lilith." She held out her hand. He sniffed the air around her then put his hand in his pockets. Producing a pair of glasses and put them on. Now he could actually see her.
"Wingate, Justin Wingate"
As those two interacted, the ship settled some. The students scattered once more and the piano was left a drift. Larry kept the ferry at a steady pace. Soon they would be reaching land. The wet boy, now drying himself off spoke to the girl with the blackest eyes.
"The's name Gekko....and you?

Zaith opened his eyes seeing land, his bright blue eye glistening in the light as waves splashed against the fairy, like stars against the sky.
He looked back at where people had been sitting noticing a few active ones around the bout.
"What a strange day." Looking back out to the sea. "That I will constantly be around others for the first time in my life." He rubs his horns and curls his wings hidden under his new school cloths.
"Why must we wear these uncomfortable garments. Couldn't people walk around like they normally do?" "Like anyone here is normal." he said closing his eyes, the entire ship opening up before him. As he viewed the ship he could hear voices, talking, chatting to one another, like one might do when making friends.
"Fear, to a friend."
The wind started to blew curling back his heir, moving it like it had a mind of it's own.

Linda paused, soaking up the information with the unblinking eyes. If anything, her lack of blinking freaked people out. Then again, everyone here's odd. I got to remind myself to expect the unordinary...
She looked out at the aquamarine sea for a moment, saw a 12.232245 inch flounder swim by, then looked back at boy-who-flies-with-piano...Gekko.
"Linda. Intriguing name, Gekko." I wonder why he's coming along to the school... Note to self, find out what everyone does.
Linda inspected this 'Gekko'. Grey eyes, dark complexion. So far, so normal.
So, what brings you to the Ship of Fools?" she asked, remembering a painting title from the late Gothic century. "You seem to be the one that wasn't on the boat, so where's the monk and nun?"
Linda inwardly sighed to herself as she spoke. Boy, leave it to me to bring up something as trivial as that. Good going.
The sea waves calmly lapped against the ferry, spraying sea salt gently over all of its passengers. The sun continued its upward climb. Linda glanced over to the direction of the land, not expecting much of a response to her off-set joke on art. She hated the Gothic period, anyway.
She noticed camera-girl talking to rich-guy-with-seasickness. Well, at least even the surliest-looking people can have a decent conversation while spilling their guts to the waves.
She turned back to Gekko, who was finished drying himself.
Alright, I give up. Forget even talking to people here; They might start a conversation about wings or who flew the most.
After giving Gekko the OK to keep the towel, she climbed to the upper section of the ferry, staring off to the distance. The wind picked up her scarf and entertwined it with her curly hair.

Gekko accepted the towel and asked the girl her name. She replied, "Linda. Linda Spade." After a short conversation, Gekko nodded awkwardly and walked off.
He went over to Larry and asked him how long until the ferry reached the school. Larry didn't reply. Gekko got a little irritated and asked again. Larry looked at him, then looked back out on the sea.
"LOOK HERE, OLD MAN! I ASKED A QUESTION, SO ANSWER IT, D****IT!" Larry turned around and yelled, "Samantha answered you the first time you asked!"
Gekko looked at Larry and responded, "You must've really lost it! That's a damn lawn ornament!" Everyone looked toward the front of the ferry where the commotion was coming from. Everyone except Justin. He scoffed and said, "Ignorance."

Shadow Possesed GekkoGekko got hot and the spirit reaper said, "Do it." The spirit reaper didn't have a very large vocabulary, but it knows how to use the words it knows. Shadow possession possessed Gekko and he charged at Justin. Just then, four horses appeared in front of Justin. A sword, from out of nowhere, swung at Gekko, but he blocked it in the nick of time. Luckily, shadow possession was up, so his arm wasn't sliced off, but it did cut him. Sword Form Justin"You really want to? Well then let's go." Gekko paused and thought out the situation he was in. Shadow Possesed Gekko Well this guy looks like he doesn't play, but he's conceited. He needs to get knocked off of that high horse of his. But not in this condition, he's sick..... wait.... [RETURN]

Gekko calmed down and said, "I thought you were sick. Your face certainly isn't green anymore." Justin paused and Lilith smiled and said, "I gave him a strawberry. They help upset stomachs."
Gekko said, "They help, but not that fast." He squinted as he looked at Justin and said, "You were faking. You faked your illness just to get her to talk to you."
Justin broke down. "IT'S TRUE!! I DID THIS JUST TO GET YOU TO NOTICE ME, LILITH. EVERYONE ON THIS BOAT ARE BELOW ME. BUT YOU ARE THE ONLY ONE THAT SHINES!"
Everyone burst out laughing except for Gekko and Lilith. Gekko finished up the conversation with a stern, "Epic fail." and walked off.

So he was faking this whole time....that looked like some real puke to me
"IT'S TRUE!! I DID THIS JUST TO GET YOU TO NOTICE ME, LILITH. EVERYONE ON THIS BOAT ARE BELOW ME. BUT YOU ARE THE ONLY ONE THAT SHINES!" Lilith didn't rightly know how to react to that statement. The rest of the passengers however, burst into a chorus of laughter. She felt extremely vunerable at that point. What with a boat load of strangers laughing and this guy she just met, confessing to her. It was all a little much for the girl to take in.
"Hi, my name is Gekko and I wouldn't trust that guy. The cinnamon colored boy looked directly into Lilith's camera, her eyes and winked. "Epic fail" Then walked off, disregarding Justin's threats of disembowelment and shoving things up where the Lord said it ain't right.
"Calm down will ya?" Lilith finally quipped at Justin. Instantly his mouth was shut. He coughed into his hand and fussed with his vest.
"I apologize for my behaviour." He was looking everywhere but Lilith's camera. "I normally could care less about stupid boys like him. Pretending to be more powerful...
"Explain to me how you even know me for you to be pretending to be seasick." Lilith wasn't one to go around the bushes and she had a well of emotions going on at once. By quickly glancing at her camera's clock, it wasn't even seven-thirty and so much had already happened. She'd like to sort out as much as possible as soon as possible.
"I...umm...I ...well
*FOGHORN*
Lilith turned her camera away from the babbling horsemen to the offending noise. Larry. "Land Ho! Ladies & Gents, Freaks & Geeks this here be yer home! He was waving Samantha around like a King would his mighty specter. He was directing it towards the land they had just reached.
Not what you would expect of an island. It was quite industrial, much like Durem but still surrounded by sandy shores like those of Gambino.
"Greetings...one and all." Lilith directed her camera to a woman and a man, standind on the pier the ferry was docking. The woman had an almost regal air, even with her cane and the man, well, he looked like a buddhist monk straight from the old kung-fu films.

Linda watched hot-headed Gekko blow off some steam. She tossed the sea-soaked towel, which landed straight on the cut arm. That sea water should make his cut clean up a little bit.Well, concieted-guy seemed to be right about something; he knew what he was doing, while everyone else here evidently worked based on emotions.
The amazingly blatant comment on Lilith was...hilarious.
She turned to look at the island. It somewhat reminded her of Aekea, with a Isle de Gambino beach. The two people waiting for them seemed like the leaders of the school.

D.J bounced from left to right, giving off an over-exaggerated stance of a boxer. He always seemed to bring out the aggression in others at the most inappropriate times. I KNEW I could get one last quick fight in before we reached the island... These kids, they're just so easy to irritate, ha ha! I'm going to LOVE this school! D.J had been fighting would-be-students ever since he'd jumped on the boat, gauging other people's skills and abilities. He's caused quite a lot of noise in the bottom of the boat, but no one seemed to mind, rather, it looks like it served as entertainment for the ring of 30-40 students surrounding them. As he looked into the brown eyes of his current opponent, who was clutching his left ribcage with one hand, and holding a balled fist defensively with the other. He tightened his right white glove while giving a toothy grin to the wounded opponent, never letting his gaze stray. Immediately he burst forward with his right open palm, jabbed towards the poor kids face...
*FOGHORN*
The palm froze inches away from the lucky lads nose, and only then did the kid realize how large this devil joker's hand was, almost as if he could clasp his entire skull, with just one hand. "Saved by the horn!! Ha ha ha ha haaa, looks like the jokes on me this time! Ha ha ha ha. Remember this name, D.J, cause this isn't the last card he'll play in our little game. See you in school, kid!" With a wide eyed, menacing grin, D.J put his hands in his pockets, and made his way to the main level of the boat.

The sounds of guns firing, swords clanging and screams of death echo into the night. Running through a city that has been reduced to ruins I hear a familiar voice screaming my name. As I run I can hear the voice louder. I look into a near by ditch and see my best comrade Daniel holding his chest as blood rushes out. I reach for my medic kit but he's already gone.. "Hello?" I hear a female voice, and it snaps me out of my flashback. "What do you want?" I reply. "You're not suppose to do that here." I look down at my half burnt cigarette and almost empty pint of whiskey. "Appears to me, that I'm already doing it. Who's going to stop me?" I can tell she's getting irritated with me. "Well, if you don't put that out and throw THAT away, I'm going to tell the Captain." I down the rest of my whiskey and throw the empty bottle overboard, I than inhale the rest of my cigarette and flick it off the side. "Happy?? All gone." She storms off almost in a fit, didn't even bother to ask for my name. Clearly she didn't know my past, most aren't bold enough to speak to me like that when they're fearing for their lives.I rest my arms on the railing and gaze out into the ocean. What am I doing here.. I thought to myself as I pull out another cigarette. If I had only waited for orders like I was suppose to I wouldn't be going to this school to find another path for my life. I look around the top deck for a moment and notice everyone is already wearing their school uniforms. I'm already not fitting in, not much of a surprise. Whatever, I'll have plenty of time to wear this stupid thing. I flick my second cigarette off the side and decide to walk around. I look at a group of students who appear to be very excited as they discuss their selected classes. Look at all these kids, filled with hope. They know so little of the world they live in, I would feel sad for them if I had a heart left to cry with. All my tears have dried up long ago. I stop to gaze at the ocean once more when I notice a boy approaching me. "Hey dude!" He yells as if I'm half deaf, might as well be now. "That's a really cool looking sword you have strapped to your side, any chance you'll be joining the Fencing team??" I grin and look down at my sword. I pull it out quickly and put it to his throat and his smile sinks. He replies "Hey uhhh.. Everything alright buddy??" I pull the sword back and swing it around my body to show my skill. "This is a Mythrill plated Katana, enhanced with Mako energy. It's impossible to bent, break, rust or even dole, making it the best weapon to wield on the battlefield." I say as I holster my sword and look the boy in the eyes with an evil grin. "The name's Hellscream and I'm going to be the Fencing champion for the next 4 years. You should watch from a safe distance." The boy steps back a few feet and replies "Cool man.. Uhhh.. I'll see you around??" He walks quickly back to his group of friends as they all look over and start to gossip. I ignore them and decide to walk to the back of the ship to read my book and smoke cigarettes until we arrive. I'm gonna spend a great deal alone here, I can tell already.
