
If you mean hardwired, do you mean the modem is connected by USB or RJ-42? If it's connected by USB, then you would a specific driver you maybe could find off of the modems website. If it's connected to the computer via RJ-42 (Ethernet) Then all you have to do is shutdown the modem and computer, connect the modem to the computer through Ethernet, and start both back up. That should be all you have to do to get it to work. If it still doesn't work, reply with your modem info like the company name of it, model number etc. I think I have another way to get it to work if that wouldn't work.
