Journal Entry #0-264
The vote was unanimous: they must be destroyed.
The child’s death was the final straw that forced the government’s hand. All wolven creations must be eliminated, for the safety of the general public. I never thought we’d manage to convince them of the danger, but it seems that this incident has caused the officials to see our side of the matter, and the threat that the experiments present to mankind. Their creation was a mistake, nothing more; merely another manifestation of our desire to conquer all life as we tested the limits of our technology against the powers of nature. However, the destructive potential of such a race’s existence is too high to humanity, and such a risk cannot be allowed to live. It is fortunate, in the end, that the child was sacrificed: now everyone sees the danger, and these monstrosities can be eliminated at last, as we scientists have been trying to do all along.
And once we have them broken, we’ll no longer have to worry about those creatures fighting back....
From the journal of Dr. H. M. McAllister
A child has been killed. As a result, panic has stricken the human population, and the scientists can no longer ignore the pleas of the public to destroy the wolven creatures they have created. Every lycan, loup garou, and lupus phasma is to be tracked down and either killed on the spot or sent to a high-security government camp. But the wolves are no longer content to be man’s play thing, and they refuse to be disposed of like an experiment gone wrong. The rebellion is rising. Will you be a part of it?
Setting
Currently the plot takes place in one location: the camps.
Currently the plot takes place in one location: the camps.
Prisoner Camp
The largest (and generally viewed as the most ruthless) of the experiment containment camps, this is where the first sparks of rebellion will grow, and where the fire will soon be lit to incite a mass uprising for equality. The scientists believe their creations are controllable, the government believes the scientists, and the guards believe in the power of their weapons. How long will any of it last?
Species
Three species of “Wolf” were created over the course of the infamous experiments. Each carries different attributes, different strengths and weaknesses, and all are now imprisoned by the same fear.
Lycanthrope [Lycan]
The first of the experiments, Lycans are the most crude form of merging. Ruled by emotions, their form changes to that of a wolf when they are overwhelmed by the strength of their feelings. Often, they are known to hover somewhere between becoming a full wolf and remaining human, as their emotions grow but do not yet consume them.
Loup Garou
A more refined form of the wolven creations. The Loup Garou are crafted to transform at will, choosing for themselves when to become a wolf and when to revert their human form.
Lupus Phasma
Lupus Phasma is the final and most sophisticated stage of experimentation. Rather than physically becoming a wolf, they project an elemental form of the animal. They are intricately connected to this creature (sometimes referred to as a spirit animal) and when either the human wielding it or the wolf itself is hurt, the damage is inflicted upon the other as well. Because of the elemental nature of spirit animals, the number of attacks that can hurt them is often limited. However, spirit animals can be hurt, often by things commonly found in nature that counteract the element they represent.
