This is a Semi Open rp for Rose Petal Pride lion owners when DHS or I post that they can post. We'll let you know when you can join in on the drama fun if you want to.

User Image The early morning in Rose Petal Pride was a foggy one today. The sun was not even breaking over the horizon yet making the rays of light it was beginning to cast so small through the fog that even telling how early it really was, was impossible. But even though the fog was thick the beautiful maroon queen of the pride could not resist getting out while she had a chance to be alone. Since she'd become pregnant she had not gotten a moment to herself once. Her mate was very protective of her while she carried cubs because of the problems she'd had with her second litter. She understood why he worried as her body was beginning to become weary after carrying three litters of cubs, this being her fourth. She was prone to problems much easier now than she was with her first litter.

Her belly was already swelled to almost it's peak. She no longer could really walk it was more of a waddle as her belly obscured her back legs from moving the way they normally did. Having three litters already she had to guess this was going to be her biggest of all. Her belly had never been this big with her other litters. She worried for her unborn cubs more so than ever but though she knew the dangerous possiblities of being out this early morning she still couldn't resist. She needed some alone time and this was her one opportunity to get it.

Santos shifted uncomfortably where he slept. Something seemed to be missing this morning. A presence was missing from his side, a rather round presence at that.

He cracked and eye open and sighed to see that it was true. Adia was not asleep at his side like she normally was. He didn't bother to get all worked up about it, as he figured she just needed some time to herself. He was breathing down her neck every five second, he knew, and he also knew that he would do the same if put in her position. Besides, there were enough scouts out in the morning to know that his Queen would be at a safe distance from one at all times.

He got up slowly, a few of his joints popping and snapping with his growing age, and made his way to the entrance of the den, smiling when he saw Razi. "Good morning, my son."

Razi had been sitting her for quite some time, overlooking the pride. His warriors and some pride members were scouting the boarders, out of his sight, but he awaited their return. He was proud of his rank, and didn't mind what it took to keep it, even if it meant sitting around.

He turned his head as he heard his father get up and grinned. "Hey Dad!" He greated, nosing the older male's shoulder roughly. "Slept a bit late today, 'ey Lazy?"

Rylee yawned as she lounged on a small boulder not far from the den. She was bored and tired of doing nothing but babysitting cubs in the den. Who's idea was it that she should be a cub sitter anyway? She hated playing with cubs. They were so boring. What she wanted to do it didn't look like she would ever be given a chance. Why was she not given a chance to prove herself a capable warrior and fight to protect the pride she lives in. In the gloom of the morning she could see her brother Razi and her father near the den. It was times like these when she'd see her father talking to Razi and long to be in on their conversations on how to protect the pride. It seemed she'd always be on the outside of those conversations and subjected to wrestling with Kian just to get any kind of fighting.

After walking someways from the pride den Adia finally decided to settle down in the grass and rest a little while. With all the extra weight she was carrying walking anywhere wore her out. Today the walk was worth it for now she had exactly what she wanted. Peace and quiet without anyone else around.

Little did the maroon queen know. Three unwanted souls were entering the Pride as she rested. Jeuri Akida, Titia Ini, and Maovu Warithi blended in perfectly with the deep fog only the glowing marks of their pride really stood out as the blue light that radiated from them shown on the thick white clouds around them. They moved in absolute silence using the fog as an advantage to them. Jeuri held the lead with his head high, Maovu came up just behind him with Titia following behind him in a very submissive stance. The determination in their stride meant only one thing they were looking to taint the ground with red by spilling the blood of at least one member of the pride they were in. Colored lions all of them gathered in groups to protect each other well not this morning. Any unsuspecting lion or lioness that crossed their path would see nothing but death this morning. And there was only one unsuspecting lioness out this day.

Santos snorted and yawned at Razi, shifting to sit back on his haunches and look around the pride."You do a well enough job of keeping everyone safe, I don't think I'm even needed anymore." He chuckled. "Did you see your mother leave this morning?" He tilted his head, a brow raised in question. He didn't pay much mind to the sound of a creaking tree.

Razi shrugged and looked a bit sheepish, lowering his head. "Yes, sir. She said she wanted to go for a walk. I thought it'd be okay. I'm sorry, I know you don't like her leaving on her own. But I have pleanty of scout-" his sentence broke off at the sound. That wasn't any creaking tree. That was the call...

He'd trained his warriors to chain a sounds similar to one that not many other lions would pay a second thought too. A tree groaning against the wind was a perfect, and if one's ears were trained to it you could still tell the distinct voices of the ones close to you, such as Razi's warriors were to him.

He looked to his father, a slight panic to his eyes. "Father, intruders." He returned the call, his ears perked in the direction of one of his warriors. Three bird calls returned to him. "Three of them. It could be anything, hyena's, cheetahs, or lions. I need a warrior... Mom's out there."

Santos's muscles went taunt at his son's words and he was up and moving before any more could be said. "Find a warrior and catch up with me immediately." And with that he was off, towards the borders.

Rylee's ears perked in interest the moment her father dashed off. She on her paws immediately and at Razi's side. "Razi? What happened? Where's daddy going?" She asked him. The speed Santos had used to leave was an alarming speed that usually always meant danger. Even though she knew she'd be tossed aside to wait the danger out she still wanted to see if she'd get lucky today and get to hear of the problem as it was happening.

Adia was just about to lumber into a soft sleep when the sounds of grass crunching that not even the carefullest paws could keep from causing caught her ears. She was up on her paws immediately and on her guard staring straight into the whiteness. "Who's there?" She called out hoping beyond hope one of her pride members would answer her. That was not to be the case. No reply came but the crunching came closer and closer until a soft blue glow turned the fog around her blue and before her stood three white very vicious looking lions.

Jeuri stopped as he spotted the female who had called out to them and grinned. Not only was she colored but she was darkly colored. He hated colors but he loathed dark colors even more. "Seems our lucky day Maovu, Titia. Not only is she colored but she's pregnant too. This shall be easy." Jeuri said. Titia was almost immediately out of her submissive stance instantly and ready to kill. All she waited for was the word.

Adia growled at the three lions. Alone and unable to run fast enough to get away she was in sure trouble. She couldn't take them all on in her condition. There was little chance of her getting away but she had to try. Turning almost on a dime she took off in the fastest run she could manage. Not only did her life depend on getting away but so did her cubs.
Jeuri laughed as the female turned and ran. "Get her." He said calmly and Maovu and Titia both darted after her with speeds that they easily caught up with her. Maovu swiped at her back legs wraking them out from beneath her causing her to fall and slide. Titia quickly pounced on her and began clawing her blindly.

Adia screamed as she hit the ground and before she could get her barings back the lioness was on her. She curled up quickly while doing her best to protect her neck and her belly at the same time.

Santos's body burned and his breathing got heavy. He hadn't run this fast in quite some time. His brows were furrowed in concentration, then in anger once he heard the scream. He parted his jaws and an infuriated and loud roar was released from his lungs, his mind pressing his body faster.

Razi spun around to face Rylee, and he seemed to ponder something for a quick second. "Follow me." He said simply, turning to run after his father.

When he was certain she'd caught up enough to hear him he spoke loudly, "There are three intruders in the lands. They're most likely unfriendly.." He heard his dad's roar and cringed, "Definitely unfriendly, and you're going to help us fight them." He gave a halfhearted smirk and sped up to catch up to his father.

Santos nodded to acknowledge his son's presence and turned his to do the same to the warrior he'd brought, but growled when he saw Rylee instead. "Why did you bring her? She'll get hurt." His eyes were a swirly vortex of anger, concern, and fear.

Razi shook his head. "She'll be fine."

Santos growled again. "She'll get hurt. She's not a warrior. She needs to go back."

Razi shook his head, more vigorously this time. "No. She stays. She was the only one close, and she's as good as any warrior I've got. Have you seen her fight me?" He grunted a little, a sign of how he was impressed by it.

Santos didn't say a word, he just faced forward and continued on. It wasn't long before he saw four figured. Two smaller white figured, ontop of his beloved Adia, and another larger figure a little further off. He roared again with anger at the scene, dashing towards Adia and rearing on his hind legs. With a hard side swipe of his paw he aimed to hit one of the two ontop of his Queen, powered by his rage.

Razi went after the second lion on his mother, growling as he tried to sink his teeth into the white form without hurting his mother.
