[ Frequently Asked Questions ][.01] How much do these cost?
They're usually 30k for RP events/contests. Price varies if it's a custom or semi-custom order. The lowest price that I would accept at the moment for semi-customs are at least TWO Angelic Minis.
[.02] Why is the price difference so huge?
Because RP event's purpose is to gather good role players as owners, and not a lot of them are very rich. While Customs and auctions are targeted to a different group of people.
[.03] What are semi-customs?
Semi-customs are simpler versions of full customs. Instead of the all out full custom form, people that ordered semi-customs can only choose the fel essence, soul, gender and alignment for their Raevan. The other aspects of the Raevan's design will be decided by Kyou.
[.04] Are they the same price as full customs?
No, they are generally cheaper. Probably half the price of full customs.
[.05] What elements decide how a Raevan is gonna look like?
In the cases of semi-customs. The overall design of the Raevan (like the clothes, hair, wings etc) will be based on the soul the owner choose. While the fel essence decides the base color for the Raevan. Occasionally I would cross design elements across each other in case anyone of those 2 elements are missing or lacking for the outlook of the Raevan.
[.06] Are they RP-required?
Yes they are. We will take away your Raevan if you are inactive for too long. Please refer to the Roleplay rules for more info.
[.07] Can I use an original character as their guardian?
Yes you may, the roleplay rules and style isn't very strict in this shop, feel free to use your imagination and creativity. But there is a simple rulebook and guideline for character creation located here.
[.08] How can my Raevan grow to their next stage?
As long as you meet the roleplay requirements for growth in the "RP Requirements". Plus reasonable amount of RP, regular updates of your journal. All I want to see is your Raevan's growth. Depending on your RP, I will judge when will your Raevan is suitable to progress to the next stage, and I will provide you with a growth quest where you will need to complete in order to grow. This only applies to Raevans that are in their Frei stage and above.
[.09] ZOMG can I take your soul for my Raevan??
NO!! Of course you can't!! If you got my soul I wouldn't be able to grow your Raevans and the shop will die! And no you can't take any of shop staff's soul either.
[.10] How big are Raevans?
Raevans are regular human size.
[.11] How does Raevans feed?
It depends on what type of fel essence they were made from. For example a Raevan made from the Living Shadow fel essence, they just need be near shadows and absorb energy from there. Sometimes there are exceptions, if you have any questions about how your Raevan feed, feel free to ask Kyou or a staff when you have the chance. They can eat simple food like drinks. They can also eat light, simple food made from natural ingredients. This applies to both Freis and Sigels only, although Sigels can consume a larger variety because they had developed a semi-complete digestive system.
[.12] That means they can't eat regular human food?
Unfortunately, no. Not complex or heavy food anyway. Raevans can eat food properly like regular humans when they reach the Valsaros stage, since the rune no longer supports it's body. But for Freis and Sigels, especially for the Freis, food is not advisable and should be eaten very lightly or none at all. Because they haven't developed a proper digestive system yet. As for Sigels, they have a partially developed digestive system, so they could eat a larger variety of food and a larger amount too. But chances are they will get sick if they eat too much.
[.13] What are Chimeras?
Chimeras are another one of Kyou's experiments, by combining 2 types of animal DNA together he creates a chimera. It's something like a mini pet aside from the Raevans. Raevan owners can own Chimeras too.
[.14] Do you accept pet trades?
No, not at the moment.
[.15] Do you accept bribes?
You will have to tempt me, but I am difficult to please nowadays.

[.17] Can I be part of your staff?
No, unfortunately. When I need to look for new managers for different aspects I tend to scout on my own rather than open up interviews.
[.18] Certain Raevans look like they only have 1 wing, why is that?
It's because the artist is lazy, or the paper ran out of space, or for aesthetic values. All the Raevans have 2 wings!!
[.19] If man-made objects are not allowed for a soul option, what about natural objects that have been tampered with, ie statues, wood carvings, etc?
Yes that is possible. Some ancient statues might be possessed by magical souls or deities. One good example is Rapidashtrainer's Pi Yao soul, it's a chinese mythical creature that wanders around as a 'spirit', but it's 'real body' is a jade statue.
[.20] In regards to souls, can it be a creature from a video game?
Sorry, but creatures that ORIGINATED from video games are not allowed. But creatures that were INSPIRED by actual legends are. For example, you can use the soul of a behemoth (it's a common monster in FF games) since it's actually from the bible. But you can't say... use the soul of Balthier (character from FF12) because he's a character created BY Square Enix. Yes it's all about the character design copyright issues. And I refuse to do fanart for the Raevans.
[.21] Will the soul choice affect the Raevan's gender?
They do to some degree. Like you can't have a female Raevan from a Satyr soul, or a male Raevan from a Siren soul, etc. Since their gender implications are so strong. Canonically, all Satyrs are male and all Sirens are female. Though genders can be bended if the captured soul is normal and have both genders. So say, if one captured a male frog's soul, the Raevan might still turn into a female.
[.22] Will the fel essence affect the Raevan's gender?
No, because fel essence don't have genders. They might be from a certain gender (like the Maiden's Hair) but when they are on their own they have no genders!! How can you give gender to fire? Or a piece of ice??! Or a piece of hair even!! Can 2 strands of hair breed and create more hair? No right?
[.23] Can Raevans take off their clothes?
It depends on the Raevan. Raevan's 'ribbons' are part of their body, they exist as a protection of sorts for the rune. So clothes that form the ribbon cannot be taken off. Anything else can be taken off.
[.24] Can Raevans die?
Yes, like human, they are mortal too, no matter how immortal they are in their previous life.
[.25] How do they die?
There are 2 types of death, death of the body and death of the fel essence. The bodily death is similar to human, damage to vital organs like the brain or the heart (so long as they are fully developed) will cause the Raevan to die. The fel essence death however, only applies to Freis and Sigels, since their body is still sustained by the fel essence. There is currently only one identified cause for fel essence death - starvation. It will cause the fel essence to become weak and unstable, and eventually will not be able to co-exist with the body anymore. The fel essence will begin to break out from the body and eventually the Raevan will die.

[ Questing Guide and Tips ][.01] Please make sure you know the definition of "Fel Essence"! If you had forgotten, just look on the front page of the shop thread, under "Story" post, "About Fel Essences" section.
[.02] Accept criticism gracefully. You can be as stubborn as you like about your concept, but keep in mind that criticism helps you improve on your concept. If you still don't want to accept them, at least try to be polite and don't sound too defensive to people that critique your concept.
[.03] There are some soul choices that are not recommended. Just because there are too many of it's type already in the shop. Birds are one of them! This is not an absolute no-no however, if you are stubborn and insisted on sticking to your bird soul choice, I will not stop you. But at the same time I will not like it so much as well.
[.04] Keep your concept thread organized. Especially when you request for a critique from anyone.
[.05] Do not expect Kyou to critique your concept. Do not pester me either! I have a bajillion things to do already, I only have one pair of arms, one brain, one pair of eyes and 24 hours a day like you do!
