The air was fresh, clean and cool. The moutains off in the distance made for beautiful veiw and add the setting sun just made it perfect. The orange, pink glow casting shadows across the clearing as the sun slowly decended under the horizon. "I never get tired of this." she whispered to softly to herself.
She rested on her size, her head falling back to rest on the moss underneath as she watched the colors of the changing sky. She was waiting for the stars to once again claim the heavens. She lived here for the most part, alone. Not fitting in with the dolly types she grew up surrounded by.
A gentle breeze swept through the land carrying small leaves and broken flowers with it. The small pieces coming to rest around her as well as on her.

The slowly dieing light filtered through the forest canopy, dappling the ground in fiery reds and burnished golds. The shifting beams played over the muscled figure walking quietly through the tall trees, the evening light casting flames of vibrant gold and purple over his sapphire blue coat. Slender ears flicked slowly, relaxed in the timeless quality of the hour as he travailed through a world of subtle shades and golden hues. Violet tones rippled through his upright mane like a painter's stray brush stroke, white chest flashing gold when the light dipped to catch it. The evening breeze whispered over his body with a gentle touch like a lover, soft voice murmuring sweet nothings into a calmly bobbing ear. He felt like he alone existed in this world of low golden light and soft, shifting shadows. His hoof beats muffled by the thick forest floor, the soft rustling of the branches above the only other sound. Smokey gaze shifted, fixing on the stronger glow of light just ahead of him. Head lifting he pricked his ears forward. It seemed the spirits had gifted him with a place to spend the night in this enchanted woodland, and Cloud wasn’t one to defy the spirits when they were being so benevolent. Bending his steps he walked with unhurried gate towards the warm glow, slipping through the trees quietly. As the view opened up he stopped, sapphire body cradled in the lengthening shadows as storm-hued eyes swept across the clearing, settling on the form of what had to be the spirits made flesh. Her body glowed in the late evening light, burnished in amber and gold as if she held some of that gilded essence within her. Dark tail curled gracefully across the soft mosses burned darkly with a fiery glow. Stunned, the stallion could only watch from the shadowed forest edge as a leaf attached itself to her mane, as if wanting to be apart of the beauty who had come to visit their earthly world.

It was the scent that told Melanie someone was nearby. And judging by the slightly musky scent and the fact that it was strong enough for her to smell he was close behind her. Her ears shifted in his direction and lifted her head slightly, pulling her attention away from the changing sky.
A blue, rather well looking male stood off in the distance staring her way. Was it her he was focused on, or was he simply taken by the same brilliance she had been mere moment before? It didn't really matter she guessed. He probably hadn't noticed her laying here anyway with all grass and many pieces of debere scattered atop her. Well he does now. She slowly rolled to sit up, but didn't make any sign of standing just yet. Her ears with fixed on him as she stared back at him. "You there" she called out softly.

Yet she was mistaken in her thinking, as there was little that could compare to the beauty she radiated at that moment. Glossy coat taking on the colours of the last rays of the dying sun like a parting gift from the heavenly body that ruled over the daylight hours. His dark gaze followed as she moved, sitting up amid the delicate scattering of richly coloured leaves.
She was mortal, and not the wind spirit come down to taunt her grounded son. He smiled, though the expression was partly hidden within the shadows that still caressed his flanks. "My apologies..." He replied, voice low and deep, as if unwilling to disturb the serene atmosphere of the enchanted woodland and hazy, rich light that flowed around them both.
Slipping through the last few bushes he stepped forwards into the clearing, emerging not far from where she rested. There he stopped, standing tall and yet relaxed. Not at all threatening or authoritative in his posture, just.. there. Relaxed and easy within the world that had cradled him since he had emerged from the sapphire basket of his foalhood.

The wind swept through the field once again and closed her eyes and simply felt the way it blew through her short cut mane. She had always liked it cropped shorter on top, for it was easily managed, but during time like this one she wished it was long so that could blow wildly around her face.
Her eyes cracked open again and focused on the tall quiet stallion before her. He'd moved closer when her eyes were closed, just a few feet from her now. His color was more radiant now that she could see him up close, with a rain cloud emblem on his chest. Did it explain his personality, Or was it simply a design? She could guess by the way he stood there close to her that it was the latter.
Her muzzle creased into a small welcoming smile. "It's alright. I was caught off guard. It happens alot when I do this." she spoke softly, her features completely relaxed and she motioned toward the now quickly setting sun. "What brings you here?"

He watched silently as the female basked in the gifts of the Wind Goddess. He well knew the feeling and spent half his life chasing the immortal spirits on their swirling journey. The smile she gifted him with then she once more opened her eyes found an answering one on his own muzzle. One ear flicking slightly as his stiff punkish mane swayed against it, rippling rather than flowing in the light breeze.
"Nothing important. I am a wanderer, and am merely wandering through the lands close by. I certainly didn't expect to find someone out here, but I am glad that I have." He bowed his head to her graciously, dark eyes warm and easy with relaxed friendliness.
It might seem odd that a stallion of such an obviously easy-going nature was alone, and even more so, that he was in good health considering some of the creatures one could encounter in the forests of the world. Since he didn't look like much of a fighter despite his muscular and fit physique.

Melanie's expression brightened, the bright colors from the sky reflecting against her face. "I'm surprised I haven't seen you around here before this, then. I'm here alot and it's surrounding area." Her gaze shifted back to the relaxed stallion. "I guess you could say I just don't like staying in one place to long." she chuckled slightly at herself before planting her muzzle in what looked like a small pile of leaves and pulled out a good size red apple. Traveling usually makes me hungry.. so.. There were more, the little pile actually hide a small hole with about three of them, so giving one away wouldn't hurt. She tossed the ripped apple to him and quickly got to her feet. "It's not much, but I just picked them today"

Cloud admired the mare as the soft hues of sunset flickered over her coat. She was indeed beautiful, her unusual markings intrigued him, and she was the first female he had met who had hair odder than his own.
"Well.. I only just came to this area. I never seem to stay long in one place, so perhaps that is why we have not met before now." he smiled, dark eyes warm and friendly as he chuckled softly. "A kindred heart then? For I am the same way, it is why I am what I am." Blue ears pricked as she pulled forth an apple and tossed it to him. Dipping his head he snuffled at it before setting his teeth to the glossy red skin and biting it neatly in half.
After chewing it happily and swallowing, he looked back at her, grateful. "Thank you, it is a rare treat for I tend not to find them too often." He dipped his head once more, crunching up the remains of the apple with pleasure.

"It's always nice to find someone that had similar interests" she said smoothly.
"I'm actually going on another venture soon into the mountains with a friend of mine. I don't know, I've heard alot of things lurk in high in mountains." She suppressed the shiver that was threatening to ruin her composure and looked to the mountains behind her. "Have you ever been there before?" she asked turning back to the stallion. He seemed so composed and calm. She couldnt help but wonder what he might be like when he was excite or fighting perhaps. It was her experience that the calm ones always held and unknown power. Was the same to be said about this stallion? Apples, berries. They were usually harder to find but always a treat when you did find them which is why she hide them for safe keeping. "Yeah it is. I usually hide some around incase i get the craving for one. I've always loved apples, myself."

Licking his lips to savour the sweet juice, he bobbed his head in agreement. "Indeed it is, and actually I have. I have spent quite a bit of time up among the peaks." Lifting his head he gazed at the majestic sweep of the mountain range in the distance. "To race the wild winds, or test oneself against the very rock that makes up the range.. it is a thrill one can not find anywhere else. I leave them, travail the low lands, but I always return eventually. They have a savage beauty that simply calls to you."
Dipping his gaze he chuckled softly, shaking his head. "Forgive me, I do tend to ramble when I reminisce." Blue ears pricked towards Mel once again, the stallion's expression a friendly and as easy as it always was, yet his words hinted at a far more daring and devil-may-care soul behind the storm grey eyes.
Nodding softly he grinned. "Indeed, sounds like a very smart idea."

The mare tilted her slightly and swept her gaze over his facial features as he spoke. His eyes so full of passion she was sure his mind was somewhere else as he continued his discription. Was she ever that passionate about anything herself? She couldn't think of anything she felt that strongly about. In a way she envied him for that passion, wishing she had something like that. But on the other hand if something was to destroy or take away her sorce for such happiness she'd be left a shell, yet again. Pulling herself away from her thoughts she lifted her head to smile at him. "It sounds beautiful, and the way you talk about it makes it sound even better, so don't apologize."
Mel took a couple steps towards the stallion, flipped her tail slightly and gave him a mischivious grin. "Where were you planning to go once it got dark? I love it around here once the moon takes over the sky." She didn't have to look back at the mountain to see that the sun had already disappeared behind them, soon the stars would shine and the moon would glow over the valley and leave enough light to see perfectly. "Care for a Moonlite run?"

Smiling warmly he bobbed his head in gratitude. "Thank you, I fear I sound far more liike an idiot than I wish to usualy." Grinning he chuckled softly before watching her move forwards. She really was as graceful and as mythical as she had seemed when he first arrived only a short while ago. The motion of her tail drew his attention though he swiftly looked back up, one brow arching at her playful smile.
"No where in particular.. I had thought to stay around this area for a few days." Studying her a moment he smiled. "I am sure it looks amazing, if one such as you speaks in praise of it." Grey eyes warmed a moment before her question made the stallion grin widely, ears pricking. "Now that sounds like like a very good idea."
Swinging his haunches round so he faced almost in the same direction as Melanie, he grinned at her. "Ladies first?"

Grinning at the handsome blue stallion, she shook her head. "No more of an idiot than I sound." she snorted. Her grin grew slightly as it spread to her cheeks and gave them more of a dark pink tint. This stallion was definitely far from sounding like an idiot, if anything he seemed sophisticated. And even a bit charming. Though she'd never say so outright. Perhaps with a little persuasion she might be able to bring him out of his well mannered shell.
"Awww.. think to try to impress me by giving me a head start and passing me?" she teased. "But I'm not as slow you might think, I do have energy in these slender legs of mine." She said said coyly and gave him another playful wink. "Besides, I could always cheat by distracting you. Somehow." Flipping her bangs away from her eyes she met his gaze with a deep intensity that said she wouldn't loose easily. When she looked away, back to the field ahead of them she flicked her tail and stretched her legs for a moment. "Whenever your ready"

Cloud chuckled, tossing his head slightly, the move rippling his punkish mane. "Then I must sound quite alright, as you yourself are far from an idiot." He flashed her a playful smile in return.
Quirking a brow at her he grinned, misty grey eyes sparkling, which was quite an achievement as grey eyes did not sparkle easily. Though it proved the depth of the stallion and his good humoured nature. "Not at all, I had hoped to sound polite and sophisticated instead of the tough old wanderer I am. But evidently my attempt did not go quite as planned." His grin widened at her wink, his own expression playful and teasing. "Now that.. would hardly be fair. Since you are already distracting enough." He arched a brow at her. He had seen many sights in his time but very few, from the sun setting over the endless expanse of glittering sea, to the world of clouds and soaring eagles at the top of the mountain, but few compared to her beauty as the dying sun gilded her stunning coat in soft golden light.
At her encouragement he pricked his ears, flashing her a wide grin. "Ready." With a flick of his heals he surged forwards into a canter, short tail up and bannered by the wind of his own making. Looking back over his shoulder for her.

*Resumed RP in AIM bella dea "Well I'm glad I don't sound like a moron, then." Melanie chuckled and flipped her hair playfully out of her eyes only to have it fall slowly back into place. Which of course she suspected it would do.
With a huff she gave up on her bangs and grinned back at the stallion. "Oh really? I distract you already? I can't imagine what I would when I put a little more effort into it." She had to admit it was kind of a ego bust to hear him say that, but she had to wonder whether or not he was teasing her as well. He probably was. But it didn't stop her from liking it.
Hooves were ground firmly in the slightly moist ground beneath her, her knees at the ready to give her a boost of speed at the start and she was ready. "Go!" she shouted as her body surged forward with a sudden rush of adrenaline. She took one deep breath and hoped for the best. After all this stallion besides her looked like he was built for this kind of thing.
