Blogging is fun.
So I'm gonna do this thing. And I looove comments so if you have anything to say about something I post I'd love for you to let me know, m'kay? It's more fun for me if my random rambling results in light conversation. =)
I'm hoping this could be like a diary that talks back.

How COOL would that be in real life?

I Survived a Ride with the EX. surprised
So this thing keeps happening to me. I have a close guy friend. Said guy friend gets a girlfriend. We're introduced, we chat, we seem to get along. Then the guy tells me his girlfriend hates me. gonk
Twice now this has happened in the past year.
First Mike tells me Danielle hates me when I had received no indication of this. Her reasons? She believes I'm prettier than her. She didn't like that Mike and I were such good friends. She believed that Mike and I were secretly dating. Wow. After a while I just laughed about it and thought it was cool that a college girl was so jealous of me.
Then there was Laura. Rick introduced me to her at Prom and I avoided them the whole night [he's my best friend. we had a thing. thing stopped, in comes Laura. get the picture?]. Then I sat next to her during a choir concert Rick was performing in. We talked a little and I thought it went well. A few weeks later Rick informs me that Laura believes I am obsessed with him and she hates me for it. wtf?
People I've talked to think she was threatened by me. Understandable. But I really would never interfere. It's just not something I do. And I want him to be happy, so if that means being with her, then good for him.
Anyway, they broke up a while back. I didn't see her again until Rick's grad party. It was incredibly awkward. The three of us sat alone together [slow party] and none of us spoke.
There were issues about me getting a ride home so Laura offered to take me. When Rick came in and told me all I could do was stare and say, "Whaaat?"
The next words out of his mouth were not reassuring. "She just wants to get to know you. It'll be fine. And if she tries anything, you know my number."
What is she gonna do to me?! gonk
I trusted him though and went out to her car. The ride was awkward. She asked how I felt about Rick joining the Marines. We chatted about Band Camp. She asked how long Rick and I have been friends. She mentioned that she knows how important his friends are to him and that she wanted to get to know them. And she told me she spent a year at the christian elementary school across the street from my house but was kicked out for swearing at all her teachers. Lovely.
But she didn't hit me. Which honestly, I'm a little disappointed about. It would have made for a much better story.
