Yuri sat in the middle of a field that was lifeless except for the grass beneath her paws and the bugs that buzzed around. There were a few clouds in the sky, and the air was still. Yuri focused, trying to figure out what her power could be. Nothing happened. She sat there confused; why did all of her brothers get powers and she be left alone?

Latte sniffed the air, sensing that Yuri was in a field nearby. He stalked through the tall grass on the other side, coming into the open behind Yuri. "Puu," he said softly into her ear.

Yuri's ears twitched as she felt Latte's breath in her ear, and she turned around with a surprised smile. "H-hi Latte." She said as she looked at him. He seemed a little, different.

Latte smiled back at Yuri. "You've become even more beautiful, Yuri," he whispered. He sat down net to her, grooming her patterened fur.

Yuri blushed lightly and looked down in the corner of her eye. "I-i'm... pretty?" she mumbled as she felt him begin to smooth down her fur. "Can you... umm... do any s-special moves...?" She asked him as she looked back up.

"Special moves?" Latte stopped smoothing her fur and thought. "Like this?"
He turned around to face the field, concentrated, and promptly set the grass on fire. He then took in a deep breath, and breathed a trail of bubbles over the fire, dousing it.

Yuri watched in awe at Latte's moves. She felt bad, but she envied him for it. "Y-yeah...like that..." she said as she looked down. She knew she had to have some power, but she just didn't know what.

Latte sensed there was something disturbing Yuri, but he didn't want to hurt her feelings with his moves. "Is something wrong?

Yuri glanced to the side, unable to tell him to his face. "N-nothing really....it's...it's just I have n-no special powers.... and my brothers...all... have special powers..." She was near crying, and her voice cracked a little, but her face was emotionless.

Latte quietly thought for a moment. "Don't worry, Yuri. I know you have special powers. I can feel it," he reassured her. He could feel magic vibes coming off of her in strong waves. "Why don't you try relaxing? Perhaps when you're calm you'll be able to do moves.

Yuri looked back up at Latte. "Are you...um...sure? C-cause I already tried before...and...um... it didn't work." she said as she slightly pawed at the ground. She didn't think she could have any powers after trying to hard to figure it out without any progress.

Latte listened, then thought some more. "Maybe...maybe it'll work if I'm here to help you," he said slowly. "I guess you need some encouragement."

"M-maybe... I hope..." Yuri said as she looked around, trying to find something to focus on. She found a lone flower and stared at it. Nothing happened. She pouted as she tried to do what her father did, and nothing happened.

"Hmm, nothing happened," Latte mused to himself. He closed his eyes and thought, pushing his childish thoughts further away. The answer started coming to him, but in bits and pieces. He opened his eyes, and looked at Yuri. "Since your father is an Ariados, you should have bug-like abilities. My mother told me that. I think one of the moves was...String Shot? Or something like that. I think you can have web shoot out of your mouth, Yuri."

Yuri thought about it. "My brother....Yakir...can shoot web..." she said before looking around again. She didn't get how she was supposed to shot it in the first place, so she just spit at the ground. Nothing special happened again. Her ears folded back against her head as she thought, 'Maybe I really am just not special.'
