A new version of Wonderland has emerged...

[...Chapter 1...]

A young girl looks through a small opening in the trees of the forest behind her home and sees a table set for tea. A rather large party, but there's no one to see. Slowly she grows ever closer towards the table but suddenly, a rather lovely man brisks to her side and captures her in a welcoming and offering embrace, one hand on her shoulder the other being held out towards the silver dishes on the table. "Welcome, my sweet, it's time to eat. Won't you join us in this meal? There's no catch, I promise no deal," his voice was calm and inviting, and his eyes looked safe to the girl. "I'm not so sure, I suppose I could, but do you really think I should?"
And with that coy smile of his, he pulled her out a chair, "yes my dear, please have a seat, and take a bite to eat." The girl sat down and it seemed as though the table stretched before her; an endless ocean of priceless china and delicate silver. As the girl turned to her left, she saw a woman whom appeared quite rich. "I-I'm sorry, miss, is this your feast? Is it alright if I sit at least?" And the woman looked up from her plate and glanced at the girl, "Why, my dear, I'm sorry, I did not hear. When did you come in? Please, eat, you look thin."
The girl was unsure of what to say, she did not feel light, but she hadn't eaten for hours. Before the girl could open her mouth to speak, the man stepped back in and took his place, "please, now try this berry. It's the best of the best, the ripest cherry. And have some tea, it was just made by me." The girl took a few cherries and several sips of tea, but the feeling of something different around her, couldn't be eaten away so easily. The rich woman stood up and crossed to the other end of the table where a curtain of leaves stood there as though covering a window, "Come child, you have tasted my tea, now you must come with me. Come, come, child, come with me so that you may see."
With that, the man guided the young girl over towards the other woman and reached for the middle of the curtain as did the rich woman. Together they spread the leaves and revealed-
"Welcome, to Wonderland," they chimed together, "Welcome, to our Wonderland..."
