Medical Nin
Gakunin
Characters indicate one who is learning or studying
This is one who is currently studying and training to achieve the Donin rank. This is the medical nin equivalent of the Academy Student.
Donin
Characters refer to one who is insightful.
This is one who has been given insights into the nature of bio-ether, how life works, and how life ends. This individual has completed the Donin-level examination and received authorization to be placed on low-to-medium level missions in order to further develop skills, and gain experience.
All new members can also be Donin.
Kinin
Characters refer to one who is healthy.
This is one who specializes in the health and well-being of people and animals. At this point, one begins to study the nature of the Mind and its effects on the body (and vice versa). Because of his or her experience and developed skills, the Kinin is suitable for teaching new medical nin who seek to reach the Donin level, as they can provide context and depth of understanding to the texts.
Jinin
Characters refer to one who "touches the Earth".
This level shows a level of mastery of knowledge and skills that surpases that of the Kinin. The Jinin has gained inexpressible insights into the nature of self, the Mind, and ultimate reality. The Jinin is a very philosophical level where these insights unconsciously improve the efficiency of any treatment applied, but due to the deep insights achieved the Jinin is not suitable for teaching others.
How one becomes a Jinin is not through tests or by any standards that are recognized by more than one body. Jinin are generally recognized through informal consensus from other Kinin, figures of government, and masses of people.
