 How long had it been since she'd been on her own? How many nights had she spent by herself, hiding in the safety of the Nashoba Valley. Too long. She took a deep breath, and steadied herself. She padded along carefully, she was walking through an open field, she felt safe being able to keep an eye on all directions. She held her robe tightly around her body. Raven was a moderately large female, both her parents were well built, her mother, the aeon, and her father, the vigilante. But she could be easily intimidated. And since her attack, she was wary of everyone.
"Come on girl, " she said to herself, as she took another deep breath and tried not to look terrified. There were good kitsu's out there, ones that wouldnt attack her for no reason, she just had to believe. "Cant run around bein terrified of every shadow" She trod along, determined not to be terrified. Nenda had trained her a bit, so did everyone else, but she still felt scared wit-less.

 Orange-brown wings flapped about as he made his way toward HQ. He was anxious to go on another adventure. One with traps and wonderful treasures! Maybe some monsters involved, too. Either way, he was just anxious to go on an adventure, period.
His green colored eyes spotted a winged-Kitsu not too far ahead of him. Another winged-one! She would make a spectacular partner! Able to dodge many obstacles on the floor, and high menuverability! She would be an excellent partner!
"Hey! You!" he called out suddenly as he made his way toward her.

Raven nearly toppled over, when she heard someone call to her. Black bangs fell infront of her face. Rusty Red wing tips, folded tight against her robed body. Intense golden eyes searched around, wide with fear. Finally she spotted the flying male. Taking a few nervous steps back, she waited. She didnt know if this male would attack her or not. Her heart beated so fast. She thought she was going to explode.
"Who-who are you" she asked when he was close enough to hear. "What do you want" her voice was soft and meek, but it had an underlying strength, that even she didnt know about.

Horus wouldn't ever intentionally bring harm upon another. With the exception of dangers along the way of their adventure, he would never harm someone willingly. But even then it was up for debate, as he could only predict of danger. Plus he would warn them before hand of the dangers that lay ahead. He was a good kid.
Stopping a few inches away from her, he placed a smile upon his maw. "Are you busy? Or have plans? If not how would coming with me to an adventure sound?" He was really eager to be friends with this girl.

Raven shifted her weight, side to side, wings fluttering anxiously. She didnt get a bad vibe from him, not like the one she got from...him. She watched him, looking pained and confused. "You're not going to...hurt me, are you?" she asked meekly. A black bang fell in front of her eyes, you could see the fear in her face, even though Horus seemed so nice and harmless.
"I just.....I....Adventure?" she was unsure of an adventure, she'd heard her sisters had all gone on adventures, and she knew her parents had been adventerous, but the one time she had tried, ended in disaster.

He wiggled an eyebrow of doubt toward the other. Hurt her? What? Did he look intimidating or something? Here he thought all Angelics, or at least most of his kind had a reputation of being kind and all that jazz. Maybe she missed that memo. "Hurt you? What? Do I look like I'd hurt you?" He lifted a paw and pointed at the halo, "I thought my kind here had this reputation of being all nice and stuff?"
Nodding furiously, he answered, "Yeah! An adventure! It'll be lots of fun. Maybe some danger. But what's an adventure without some danger? You got wings, you should be able to maneuver pretty well." His tails wiggled with excitment from just the thought.

She shook her head, and tried to look not so 'scared wittless'. "N-no, i just...have bad luck with s-strangers...thats all" Raven nodded softly, and tried to offer a smile, it was lost in her face markings though, she looked perpetually grinning. Then she remembered Spike, and how he helped her, there was also kae'lic, who was a nightmare, but he was as nice as Spike. She groaned. Her head hurt from this.
Raven shook lightly, trying to clear the cobwebbies out of everywhere. "I...I might like an adventure" she said lightly, nodding as if to convince herself "But...i dont do so well with danger" her head shook, to back up the point of her and danger dont get along.

Puffing up a bit, he tried to act like the "big-shot" as best he could. In his mind he wasn't acting, as he felt like he was truly the "big-shot". Lightly pouding a paw against his chest, he inhaled a deep puff of air before he said, "Well! I'll protect you! So don't worry. I'll beat up any bad guys that come our way!" He swatted against the air, making "punching" gestures to prove how tough he was.
The angel placed a paw on his chin as he thought about this. An adventure without danger, eh? It might be a little boring...but not all adventures were filled with dangers, he decided. Plus some partners might need more "breaking in" than others. "Then we can just go explore or something. I don't think it'll be that dangerous. But I'll protect you if anything comes our way. I'm sure we can out-fly them, though," he grinned, flapping his wings a little to demonstrate his point.

Raven thought about what he said, and the feeling she got off of him. Since the incident, Raven had trained with her father, to develop her sense of others. It was strong within her, it just needed to be honed. And now it was honed. She sensed no ill will in this angelic.
Slowly, Raven Ashe nodded lightly. "One thing i've learned, is nothing is as it seems. Some Angelics, are not so kind, and some Nightmares, are not so mean" she felt she had to add that. As her way of warning Horus, that not angelics would be kind, and that not all nightmares would rip his limbs off. Sometimes, it seemed as though the common misconceptions were switched.
Raven padded towards Horus, her tone was more steady now, now that she had a confident reading of the male. "I cannot fight, but i can flee like the best of them" she said with a quirked smile. "Will you lead the way? I fear i would not know where to go for an adventure. My sisters, got the adventurous genes, not i, but i am willing to try" Another nod.

He never really met any other Angelics or Nightmares. Of the ones he have met they were pretty stereotypical to their nature. Angelics were kind, Nightmares were frightful. But he would take her advice as to be careful of stereotypes.
"Sure! I can lead the way!" Tails wagging excitedly behind him, "I'll fly slower than usual so you can keep up," He nodded, a huge grin on his face as his wings spread.

Raven smiled softly, watching Horus. "Well, that doesnt sound too bad. I just hope i dont ruin it for you. I'm afraid i'm not much like my father" she said with a soft sigh, and a light sag of her ears. She truly wished to please her father, if only she knew he was already so proud of her.
She spread her own wings, the copper red tips glinting in the sunlight. Her black cloak flapping. Her bangs fell in her eyes, before she shook them free. They always seemed to do that these days. "I'll follow you" she said with a nod, a determined smile set on her face. She always wanted to go on an adventure, this was her chance.

The male angelic pounded a paw against his chest lightly with a determined smile. He was going to help break this girl out of her shell. Once he did she would make an excellent adventure partner. It would just take some time, he thought.
With a spread of his wings, he pushed against the ground heavily for flight. Little effort was made getting up into the air, and he floated there for a minute before slowly heading in the direction of the cave. "This way!" He yelled excitedly.

Raven gave a soft smile, not as confident in his claim, but she also didnt want to ruin this for him, so she followed him, flying gracefully despite her normally shaky and nervous behavior. "Do you know where we're going?" she asked him once she got beside Horus, her robe fluttered in the wind. Despite her previous fear, the flying soothed her. Her wavy hair fluttered, and she felt so much more....relaxed then before.
In the air, she forgot all the bad things that have happened in her life. She forgot the pain, the suffering. In the air, there was just her, and the breeze....and Horus. She could see him being a friend, and she liked the thought of having a friend. She looked over at her flying companion, and smiled. It was the first real smile since they'd med. A glint shone in her eyes. Not of fear. Not of terror and sorrow. But of....freedom.

He nodded confidently to her question. "Of course! It's this unexplored cave not too far from here. I went there once with a friend of mine, but we didn't go too far. We can just go to the parts we explored for today...Unless you're feeling adventurous today," he grinned.
The cave wasn't really unexplored. Maps of it were printed already by travelers who explored it previously...But Horus didn't care about that minor detail. Pretending it was unexplored was much more fun.
When he turned to face her the smile on her maw relieved him. At first she seemed so hesitant to join him on his adventure, but now she actually seemed like she was having fun. If she wasn't having fun he wouldn't be able to enjoy himself nearly as much.
