Reifa walked elegantly beside a riverbank, careful not to muddy her delicate hooves, or dip her long mane and tail in the water's clear depths. It wouldn't do to get dirty, not today or any day. After all, she had an image to uphold, a reputation to protect. She was the pristine Reifa, always beautiful, never a hair out of place. It was expected of her.
But, expected even more, was her aloofness, her haughty mannerisms. Others knew better than to act foolishly around her. They knew that she could be cruel and unforgiving...but right now, Rei wanted to be none of those things. Because, Rei was experiencing a rather unusual emotion. She was lonely. But not in the usual sense of the word. She wanted a companion yes, but she would not give up any of her other mannerisms simply for the sake of keeping another being close by.
Seduction. Deception. She wanted someone to play with, to cease the boredom and loneliness of her life. And that was why she was walking along the bank of the dreadfully muddy river...because she knew, like anyone else knew, that water drew Soquili to it. She felt certain that she would find someone along the riverbank, and when she did, she would be able to have some fun.

It just so happened that a certain sapphire blue stallion had wandered down to the river to drink. The sun was warm, the breeze light. It was the perfect day for lazing around. Which was exactly what he intended to do. He had arrived in this particular area the day before, and after travailing for several days, felt that a brief stop would be pleasant.
The stallion stood right on the edge of the clear waters, velvet muzzle dipped into the river as he drank. The white of his chest and under belly were bright in the warm sunshine that caressed his back, making his sapphire coat shimmer. Ears bobbed slightly as he drank, storm-hued eyes closed in a relaxed state.

As Rei walked along, she spotted exactly what she had been searching for. And what a fine specimen he was. An azure stallion, well built, with such lovely markings. Perhaps he would be fun to play with.
At the very least, she could talk with him. Even if he didn't want to play her "games," surely he would be up for a good conversation.
"Why hello, there!" She said, smiling coyly at the stallion. "I haven't seen you around these parts before. What's your name?"
Rei batted her eyelashes at him, tossing her head slightly so her gold-streaked mane shimmered in the light. Yes, she believed he would be a fun one to play with. A devious smile flitted across her face for the merest of moments before she replaced it with a shy, innocent look.
Of course, Rei was far from being shy or innocent, but he wasn't to know that. For him, she would play the part of a shy female, curious, but not overbearing. And perhaps he would take up the game as well. That would make it all the more fun.

Ears pricked forwards as he lifted his head at the sudden call, a few droplets of clear water dripping from velvet nose. Turning he spotted the dark hued female just a short way up the bank. Not that he could really have missed her. The sunlight rippled over her markings, making them sparkle like molten gold.
"Greetings." He replied, voice deep and melodious. Storm-hued eyes watched the mare's mane as it flashed in the sunlight before returning her gaze, a warm smile curling his muzzle. "Indeed, my name is Cloud Runner, and I am a stranger in these parts. Simply passing through.." He replied easily, pure white hooves stepping away from the river to face the mare properly.
Handsome, rugged head tilted slightly, ears pricked forward in interest. "May I have the honor of your name in return?" He asked, dark eyes twinkling.

Oooh, it looked like he would play. Rei smiled demurely, concealing her excitement. What a lovely release from boredom this would be.
"A traveler, huh? Well, then, you must be in need of a guide. Perhaps I could be of assistance?" Oh, she played her part so well. A gentle smile here, a shy shake of the head there...it was almost too easy. Maybe she was wasting her time. What if he proved to be a bore? Another look at him settled the matter. Even if he was all too easy to manipulate, she would be perfectly happy just to watch him. It had been far too long since she had a stallion to observe. And this one was well muscled and handsome, so she'd be well entertained by just watching him.
"We are well met, then, Cloud. My name is Reifa. I live down the river a ways." What lovely eyes he had. Rei swished her tail happily. This was indeed her lucky day. Of course, it would only be truly lucky if she played her cards right. She couldn't let him see through the mask, definitely not. Because who in their right mind would choose to hang around a critical, calculating dominatrix?

Cloud chuckled softly at her assumption, giving his head a slight toss in agreement. "Indeed I am. I had hoped to spend a few days resting here before continuing on my way, a guide to this land would be much appreciated." He paused a moment, stormcloud gaze sweeping over her admiringly. "Especially one as beautiful as you.." He added with a smile.
Leaving the water's edge he walked over to where she stood, muscles rippling under his shimmering sapphire coat. Living as he did it was inevitable that one would be fit and well built, even at his relatively young age.
Stopping before her he bobbed his head in a polite nod, short punkish mane weaving with the move. "That we are, Reifa.... It is certainly a pleasure to meet you." Cloud wasn't about to let company go without being enjoyed, and maybe, just maybe, she was underestimating him a little. He loved all kinds of challenges....

Oh-ho-ho! He played this game extraordinarily well. Reifa was impressed. And that didn't happen often. Playfully batting her eyelashes at him, she said, "Well, I would be happy to offer my services." Oh, what luck. Rei could hardly contain her glee. Such a stunning stallion, one not staying long enough to see through her masquerade.
It seemed that all this stallion was made of was muscles. Rei grinned. Such a lucky day it was. For her, at least. She didn't know if it would be lucky for Cloud, that was his call to make.
"Oh, the pleasure's all mine, Cloud." Was it possible that he played this game almost as well as she did? Nonsense. But he was a fair player, that was for sure. He offered flirtations right back at her, amusing Reifa immensely. Not that she'd never been flirted with, of course. But it had been a very long time since she had the pleasure of another's company. "So, what brings you to my neck of the woods? Headed anywhere special?"
