Where to start......
Well, things have been obscenely crazy for me in the last few months. That craziness was somewhat magnified by the loss of computer/internet access. I'm WAY to goddamned nerdy to go with my computer.
So, now that my life is somewhat getting back in order, I though I should make my comeback.... of VENGENCE..... or of giddiness... whichever one works better.
Well, some months ago, my husband's tour of duty ended with the Air Force. We had wonderful aspirations of returning to our home state of Mississippi and enjoying life as normal. Not so. About a couple of months of being back home, things began to suck, so we loaded up the truck and moved to Beverlyyyyyy... no wait, Alabama is where we went.
Things were going quite well once we got to the armpit of the south. We found a new place and all was right with the world.... until the gods turned away from us and a hurricane changed everything.
Yep, see all my family's belongings were being stored with a moving company in southern MS awaiting our move to AL. And well, during the hurricane, the roof of the storage building that housed all our stuff was blown off. So everything was soaked with copius amounts of rain and flying debris. WTF.
So, now things have to start over again. It's going alright. We've been able to get the things we need and continue on. I've tried to keep my spirits up about this whole ordeal... no sense in freaking out over something I can't do anything about. Luckily though, everything was insured, so I'll be able to eventually replace most of our things (with the exception of my childrens' baby photos and things like that), and the Red Cross has been super-helpful as well.
Anywho, I figured some may have remembered I was a member here and may be wondering about me, so I thought I'd post. I'm back online now, so i'll be able to be around more often to laugh at people.
Uuummmmm.... yep.
