The day was like any other day. The weather was...well like any other weather during this time of the year. Extremely warm and kind of muggy in all actuality. Especially after a summer rain, which seemed to frequent more often now that it was getting later in the year. The lands were on the edge of the next season and small changes here and there had begun to show themselves as the world prepared to change colors once again.
It always left Olivia in a slight drag. All her summer flowers would start to wilt in the coming months and she would have to move from her home in the fields to something sheltered better in the forest. It didn't bother her too much, but she much preferred spending time lounging amongst the soft petals of the flowers than she did any stuffy 'ol knob hole in a tree. It just wasn't the same.
The little flutter mare had been spending most of her day in the fields as usual. Hopping and fluttering from one flower to the next. Giggling lightly as their stems bent just slightly at her added weight. Which really wasn't too much. At least not as much as it would be had she taken on her larger size. But she preferred being small. It made her different from the other normal Soquili. Well, at least they didn't get nearly stepped on. Either way.
Standing in the center of a daisy, chocolate colored eyes peered across the field as her wings twitched. Giving her tail and long and drawn out flick which kicked up a bit of pollen into the air. Which unfortunately made its way up into her nose, causing her to sneeze and nearly fall off the flower. "Whoops!" She called out in reaction as she caught her balance, moving with the flower as it bobbed back and forth then letting out a small sigh as it finally became stationary again.

Oberon breathed deeply then let out a slight cough. Mugginess did not really suit his lungs entirely. The purple stallion was in his pint-sized form, looking out at a field of flowers and greenery. Everything was starting to look more… well, dead. Shaking his head slowly, Obe wished he could do something so that the other fairy-folk. Pint-sized though they all were, to make them happy during the winter months. He didn’t look forward to nasty weather at all.
Thinking for a moment or two, before giving a few easy flicks of his stain glass wings, Oberon flew towards where he had just heard a rather high-pitched noise. After that noise all of the flowers around there had ruffled. One had moved quite a bit. Just a tiny disturbance that called out for him to investigate? It didn’t hurt that he was also bored out of his mind staring at a bunch of green stuffs.
Flying nearly silently over, Obe bit his lip and got ready for landing. This was the part of flying that he had the most trouble with. Landing manfully on an itty bitty flower that looks ready to snap at any given moment. The stupid things simply move too much. Wobbling quite a bit he managed to find a sturdy enough daisy to stand on. Looking about he found what had made the noise quite easily. The “it” was a mare and she had just sighed. What a mournfully awful noise to make…
Giving a jump and a wink, Oberon landed not far away from the little flutter mare and gave a sweeping bow. “I am Oberon, a royalty among the fairy-blooded folk. Be you one of those very fine folk?” It didn’t take a rocket scientist to see that Oberon was not quite all there in the head. His mother was Demented, Dementia to be exact. His father was just a doofus, Flurian for more accurate accounts. But would others mind this goofy creature’s eccentricities.

Blinking a few times, Olivia tilted her head just slightly at the Flutter stallion who just suddenly appeared not to far off from where she was. Had he seen her nearly fall off of the flower? She would have been quite mortified if he had!
Sweeping bow? Royalty among the fairy-blooded folk? Now why hadn't she heard of this royalty, she wondered. Then again the little female hadn't spent much time with others of her own kind besides her own family. So maybe that was why she did not know.
She bowed her own head lightly. Her long two toned blue mane sweeping across the flower petals she was standing on. Almost iridescent wings opening and closing slowly as she lifted her head. "Well...hello there Oberon. Royalty among the fairy-blooded folk." It was a bit awkward. How where you suppose to act in front of royalty? Was there some kind of...secret thing you had to do? "I can't say I am of royalty, but yes I would say I'm one of those very fine folk." A light smile came to her lips. He seemed a little odd, but Olivia was kind of used to oddities.

Grinning at the mare, he continued on as if he hadn't seen a blessed thing. It was not very polite to make others feel awkward, and he as a fairy king had to do his best to make sure that those around him were properly in awe of his status. Not that they needed to grovel, oh no, just being blatantly disrespected wasn't on his to-do list.
He noticed that there was a touch of puzzlement on the finely boned and crafted face. What on earth was going through her mind? Was she just a bit curious about him and unsure of how to keep going? All well, he'd just keep quiet and keep smiling. Sooner or later she'd decide to talk to him... Hopefully.
As soon as she bowed he gave another just to make sure he had and then smiled even more brightly. "It's a pleasure to meet another fairy-kind. Surely you know the history of our great lineage?" His parents were both flutters, Demented and crazy both of them. Sure, they both meant well, but this is where his crazy had come from. He had been raised to believe that he was the king of the fairies, his sister the queen. (a problematic loophole of itself) His father a knight and his mother a devoted lady. Yes, it was a crazy family, but a loving one to be sure. "I did not catch your name.. or if I did I forgot and if I forgot then pray forgive, m'lady."

"The...history?" Now she was a little bit more confused. She had never heard of any history about any great lineage. Or at least her mother never told her anyway. Or else perhaps she just did not inquire enough.
Shaking her head, a small smile came to her dark lips. "No, I don't believe I have. Care to enlighten me then, sir, of this great lineage?" Her long tail swept the petal ground behind her as her wings twitched a few times. Now she was more than curious as to what he was talking about in the first place. Some great flutter lineage. Well it sounded interesting enough.
Cocking an eyebrow as he bowed again, she shook her head once more. "Olivia. My name is Olivia. And no you had not forgotten so no need to apologize. I should probably apologize myself for not giving it to you right off."
