You want to know what happened in Alaska? Well here it is, from my point of view.

Day One : So all of us showed up at the Squadron. A short trip to the airport was alright. All of us seemed excited to get going on our trip! When we got checked in and all, we headed to our gate. Once we got to B11, Vanilla Frapps all around with extra caramel! Ateh Mickey, Sammi, and myself all went to Maki Japan and got ourselves something to eat. The plane ride was alright. Starting from the left window, it was Levi, Ateh, Myself, (plane isle), Sammi, Richie, and Col Long. After the plane ride, we were in Anchorage. We got picked up by Ms. Suziee and we headed over to Dennys. The waiter guy was really really nice. Anyways, we went to Elmendorf (or however you spell it) AFB and we stayed at the Family Support Center for a couple hours of rest. Fast-forward three hours later, after Levi sang Jonas Brothers songs... ugh. Change into BDU's, and we are on our way to pick up the Eagle River and West Anchorage kids. I think we stopped at Eagle River first, then to West Anchorage, but we all got together at some school. Someone forgot something on the bus, twentyfive push ups. Someone behind me fainted (I later found out his name was Eyrich) and some girl behind me as well collapsed. A three hour bus ride led me to a guy named Bowman. Damnit, he scares the s**t out of me. First impressions are always great. "YOU HAVE ONE MINUTE TO CLEAR OUT THIS BUS! DID I TELL YOU TO MOVE YOUR HAT! NOW GET OFF THIS BUS! RAWRAWRAWRAWRAWR." Blah. So we cleared out the bus, put up Tent City, fixed up the camp, had dinner, and day one was basically finished. Kitchen duty was alright I guess. Cleaning tables is kinda boring though. Oh, and I was in Bravo, as you already know.

Day one in a nutshell : x____x

Day Two : So, the day starts off with me doing Firewatch at two in the morning. It was really peaceful actually. Walking back and forth just doing nothing was really nice. Me and my partner usually ran into the other firewatchers for that hour every ten minutes, so it wasn't so lonely I guess! My shift ended around three, so I headed to sleep, only to wake up about two hours later. So, physical training was the first thing I had to look forward to everyday. Push ups, jumping jacks, planks, arm raises, and a mile run. As you might already know, I was really freaking sore after doing all of that. After P.T. the day consisted of Medical Orentation, and Hiking! The first part of Medical Orentation was about using the medical supplies that was at hand, and how to use a stretcher (I forgot what the technical term for those were... sorry.) So, the first part of medical orentation ended and I headed off to hike up this huge hill. Walcom or Calcom, or something Hill, either way, the view was amazing. Many pictures later led to the whole group at the bottom of the hill, and some fishies. Me, being the cute asian I am, decided to gut a fishie. It was freaking fun, even though my clothing got a bit bloody... ehm, yeah. Part two of orentation had to do with air attacks, and a lot of Code Blues, Reds, Yellows, and one Green. Sammi had some bone sticking out of her leg... which was actually quite funny since she was like "Help... help." yet she was kinda laughing at the same time. Medical Orentation was still a bunch of fun! The last thing that really comes to my mind about day two is carrying huge logs back to camp for campfire. Holy free jeebus, those things are heavy.

Day two in a nutshell : o_____o;

Day Three : Let me start off day three with the fact that I collapsed during, and after P.T. I think that is how my name kinda got spread around the camp... heh. It was bad. It was really bad. Well let's skip all the collapsing shizz and fast forward to rappelling. Bowman said I had good shoes for rappelling. Me being a bit suprised, I reported in and said thanks. Out of the whole trip, I think that is the only time he said something nice to me. After rappelling down the hill, Sammi, myself, and some other people had to make a dam to get across this little river. The dam turned out pretty good! It was named after Alpha flight, since they started it off. We all joked around saying "DAM ALPHA!" but it was, of course, called Alpha Dam, which sounded really crappy. After rappelling, Archery was next on the list of things to do. I hit bullseye! Even though it just hit the board, and fell off. Blah. Then heading to air rifles. Let me say that those things are freaking heavy! Oh yeah, Black Hawk rides, fuh-ree-king uh-may-zing. After dinner came the river. The water was freezing cold, but it was great for washing out my dirt caked hair, and my clogged pores face. Thank jeebus for sleep. Thank jeebus for asprin too. I hate being homesick.

Day three in a nutshell : T______T

Day Four : This day is kinda fuzzy in my mind, but I'll see what I can remember. OH YEAH! Compass stuffs! We learned how to use compasses, and actually get around from place to place! Mee-chum was my partner for the compass navigation, and we kicked a**! It was so much fun to run around trying to find markers that had random letters on it! Aside from I don't remember much of what happened that day, but I do remember that it was the day of Spikenight! I went to Fish Camp along with Ateh! It was so much fun! Eating dinner, brownies, M&M's, and ten hours of sleep under our makeshift tents (which were technically poncho's). It was so warm in my sleeping bag, I had to let some cold air in! During the whole week in Alaska, that was one of the best moments. Why was it one of the best moments? I had a dream that I was actually in Seattle, buying Strawberry Pocky from Uwajimaya. That was a great dream!

Day four in a nutshell : >______<'

Day Five : Our last FULL DAY at camp! While we (the Fish Campers) were walking home, we caught Rambo trying to ambush us! This caused this whole controversy about how we didn't catch them blahblahblah. We caught you guys. Get a grip. ANYWAYS! Today was the day of doing nothing and Gunsight mountain! Well, all of us had a choice to do rafting, archery, rifles, or hiking Gunsight mountian. Well, I went rafting with Mee-chum, Ninja, Jak, Leo, and Ateh, so it was a bunch of fun! All of us called Rafting "The outdoors network mixed with Comedy Central!" When Ateh, Leo, and myself were rafting, we tried to say 'Hi!' to Chief, but he got mad at us. He yelled "You will scare the fish away!" So we turned around quickly! We couldn't get back to the shore, so we just floated around talking for a bit. It was really nice! Talking about our kindergarted crushes, and the other cadets in the camp. When we got back to camp we found out the nurse got hurt, and the weather on Gunsight made them get lost, so they headed back. After all was said and done about Rambo vs. Fish Camp, we had the flag burning ceremony. Sadness. Many tears were cried. That was a time where all emotions were just let out. Thankfully, there was sugar to get our senses back to normal! Smores, hot chocolate, a warm fire, and lots of laughs to go around was good night for all of us! We all headed to bed around midnight. The girls slept in the kitchen tent, while the boys slept around the campfire, under tables outside, and in the supply tent. It rained like crazy that night, so I only had about one hour of sleep, because my sleeping bag got soaked in cold water. A majority of my night "sleeping" was me curled up in a ball trying to keep warm. Oh well.

Day five in a nutshell : ^_________^;

Day Six : Well, since I had no sleep, P.T. really sucked, but we all made it! We packed up all the tents, even though a lot of our emotions were in a huge ball. A majority of us were really tempted to sock somebody in the face (like me) but we held back and got through the day just fine. After all was put away, the school buses came. Throw the bags onto the bus, and we all headed off home! I fell asleep. No joke. I just passed out. One stop at Taco Bell for a Chicken Quesadilla (or however you spell that) and we went back to Eagle River (I Think). Another assembly line to get stuff off the bus was working. Somebody brought a hairdrier... and a green thong. Uhm... weird. Ninja got hit in the mouth with a chair. It was funny, but kinda worrying at the same time! The group got in a huge formation, we did our Jodiee's, and we said our goodbyes. Hugs, pictures, and all that other jazz. Go back to base, take a shower, eat at T.G.I Fridays, and to the airport us Federal Way kids went. Buy souvenirs, get on the plane, pass out again, get to Sea-Tac, hug my dad, get glomped by my brother, go to Beth's Cafe, and head home to seven more hours of sleep.

Day six in a nutshell : @________________@

All in all, my trip to Alaska was a huge rollercoaster ride. I had my ups, and I had my downs. I lost faith in myself at times, and I had my times where I thought I could do anything life threw at me. I had my kindergarten crushes, and I made so many new friends I know I will never forget.

Blah. I will never ever do that again. I think.
