 Being left to his own devices for the day and getting an old spark of adventure deep inside his chest Gregory set out exploring the lands around the village. Somehow he had found his way to the plains and was absentmindedly stomping through a field of wild flowers. He hadn't thought going on an adventure would be so boring.
"Great the one time I get my bum out and doing something....nothing is going on" Greg muttered to himself. If he had been paying closer attention instead of griping he would have noticed there were many things that would have interested him. But no so walking along he went crunching the flowers. Hrmm I like that sound, wonder what it would be like if I went faster Gregory wasn't at all to thrilled with the notion of running around for no reason but he started to pick up his pace until he was cantering.
"Hey now....this is kinda....fun" he took a deep breath and pushed his rarely used muscles further and breaking out into all out run.

 ___ Dmitrria ran through the fields, only at the start of her newly found activity: morning runs. Her mate Akuba was no where to be found and her only way to vent was to run and jump as hard as she could. Her legs were scraped and bruised but she went on, every morning. She liked to run through the bright sun, staying away from the forests till mid day when she would start her jumping. This morning she saw another Soquili, stallion. She picked up her pace and gradually caught up with him, although her breath was being used for running, she communicated in a slight nod and then, a challenging grin. She could beat him, no problem.

Gregory was lost in the freeing feeling of running using every under developed muscle in his body to carry him further, so he did not see the mare catch up to him and match his pace easily. However Greg DID see her acknowledgment and her challenge. Sucking in a deep breath he tried as hard as he could to keep pace with her."Oh you have got to be kidding me!" he said to himself but out loud as all of his muscles now began to scream at him. The mare quickly lost him and Gregory pretty much collapsed in the field, except to him it felt like falling in slow motion. His legs felt like a new born's
"OK OK YOU WIN! I SURRENDER!" he yelled between deep breaths.

___ Dmitrria grinned triumphantly. She liked winning. Almost as much as she liked jumping. As she trotted back to him she noticed his crisp yellow eyes, his similar colors and his lovely curly tail. She wished she had a curly tail that would not drag. Jealousy and excitement rushed over her. Usually no one would give up unless they had been traveling for days, extremely malnourished or simply slow. And she was certain he wasn't slow. "Thank you for racing with me." She grinned. "Do you rest near here?" Dmitrria wondered if he lived here, if she could race him again.

By the time the mare made he way back over to him Gregory had his breathing slowed and under control. The stallion was no slow poke just lazy and out of shape. He glanced her over quickly and noticed that unlike him she was NOT out of shape.
"You are very welcome" he flashed a brilliant smile of his own" he chuckled and joked
"I rest everywhere, I live in the village near here" he nodded his head in the direction of the village. Noticing he was still laying on the ground he quickly and hopefully somewhat gracefully got up.
"I'm Gregory" he smiled at her again

Dmitrria made a quick and graceful nod with her head. "I am Dmitrria." She grinned and looked at him with a soft gaze. "Your tail is quite lovely." She meekly smiled, blushing under her coat.

Gregory gave a bright grin at the compliment
"Why thank you my lady" he gave a playful bow to Dmitrria then winked and gave her a friendly nudge
"You are quite lovely all over" he returned the compliment and it was true.
"I can show you around a bit if you like?" he smiled to her hoping to make a new friend.
"Maybe you can tell me what your work out is...I need to get my fat bum in shape" he laughed warmly as he nodded to the area he could show to her.

"Thank you, and I'd love it if you would show me around." Although Dmitrria knew the area, she liked the idea of having someone show her around. When she ran through these areas all she saw was a blur of colors. She nodded softly, following his lead.
"Well, in the mornings I stretch before I run, and I wake before sunrise." Dmitrria smiled and laughed softly, keeping pace with him.

A broad smile broke out on the stallions face.
"Well then shall we" he said as they walked. Gregory lead them through the rest of the field and into an apple orchard.
"Over on your left" he began then broke into a chuckle
"This is one of my favorite orchards it's small but it grows the best apples" he swept his head the length of the orchard then took a deep breath in enjoying the crisp smell of apples.
"You wake before sunrise" Gregory made a face at this.
"Guess I could give it a go" he shook his head
