Chath had tried to pick up where his life had ended. He forced himself to train less...or rather...forced Keir to let up on training, and even had started going back out on outings. Sometimes just to the park, other times to the mall...this time he was going to the bookstore. He had ...wanted to see if he could find any books baised on magical theory as he felt he had such a slim grasp on it....
He frowned as suddenly an image of Ligeia flashed through his mind. Geia had been really good at magic...he wished he could ask him for help. He pushed the thought aside. No point moping about the past. He needed to work towards the future. He wondered where in the store he would find the book.
Keir had vouched to stay home...this adventure he wanted nothing apart of...and Chath was glad for the space and freedom. He hadn't felt this relaxed in a long time. The bell ringed as he opened the door. He looked around and then to the signs. He wasn't exactly sure...where to go..

Damaris was due very soon, but now her emotions seemed to be leveling if only a little, she had been learning to cope with her condition and started going out more. She was in the mood to paint some more, but wanted to learn some new techniques, she figured she should get out what the book store had to offer.
The girl was sitting in one of the cushy arm chairs that were set out of the the customers to flips through books before they purchased them. She had about four books at the side of the chair and one in her hand that she was skimming over.
Red wanted nothing to do with something as dull as a book store. Instead the blue dragon was busying himself at home trying to penetrate the lock on the fridge that AJ had to put on it specifically because of Red.

Chath wandered up and down the asiles aimlessly. He had no idea where to look...and was a bit embaressed to ask someone for help. He often got gawked at for his bright skin and strange eyes. He was use to it by now, but since he hadn't been out in a while it had taken a while to get use to again.
He moved down an asile and did a double take as he spotted someone familar sitting in a chair. He gave a grin and waved a hand in her direction as he called out her name.
"Hi Damaris!" He sounded a lot more like his old self. Happy go lucky. He was just glad to find someone he knew. It had been a while he wondered if she still wanted him to meet her friends.
Walking over a goofy smile on his face he noticed she had a lot of books. "what you reading?" he inquired pleasantly.

Damaris glanced up from the book hearing her name, it sounded really happy. At first she didn't recognize it as Chaths, "Oh hi there Chath," She said closing the book and putting it down on the pile grabbing another one.
"I am just looking at some books about painting, I'm trying to find some new painting techniques." She said with a small smile. She looked a little tired, truthfully she had been up all last night throwing up every half hour or so. She looked enormous, it was no longer even remotely possible to mistake her for chubby, she was most definitely pregnant.

Chath grinned he didn't know Damaris was an artist, he thought that was kinda neat. She looked very tired though, he wondered how long....wait...his gaze trailed down to her...rather baby bulging stomach he looked at her a moment and caught himself starring. Looking a bit embaressed he rubbed the back of his head.
"Ah...art? That...is..um.." He trailed off awkwardly, then decided that this was no time to treat her differently! If she really was having a baby she needed support! "Really neat! I think its great that you paint! What kind of paint do you use? Oils??" He continued, oils ...that was a type of paint right? he could of sworn he seen something or at least heard something about oil baised paints on television once.
"I hope you are...doing well." Giving a vauge wave in the direction of her stomach. "I didn't realize that ...much time had past."

Damaris laughed a little bit, "I like to use lots of different paints, oils are tricky, acrylic is my favorite." She said with a nod.
Chath didn't seem to be reacting negatively about her condition, at least that was a good way to start. She needed to start explaining her situation to everyone, she rather just be blunt about it then let them leave wondering if she were a whore.
"Yes, I'm doing alright thank you, but please, don't think I was sleeping around." She said her eyebrows pointed upwards and a weak smile on her face, "I've had to explain this a lot but...the techs made a mistake with my DNA...the kind of lizard that I'm part of, they are all females, and reproduce asexually, so, yeah." She said a little nervously, the reaction she got was different from lots of people, she just liked to get it out of the way.
"But," She started trying to change the subject, "I do have a boyfriend now." She said with a smile. She remembered Chath talking about himself having a boyfriend a while ago, she hoped he had enough time to get over it. She hadn't seen him in months, so she was hoping it wouldn't upset him to bring that subject up.

Chath widened his eyes and waved his webbed fingers in front of him. "No no the idea never crossed my mind! i ...believe me!" He didn't want her to think he thought bad of her...sure it was strange seeing someone his age....having a baby, but he didn't think she..did what she implied.
He gave a laugh and smiled again, he was feeling much more like himself than he had in a long time. He didn't know that ...her DNA species could reproduce in such a way.
"Y..ou must of been rather surprised." He said with a nod as he went to pull a chair up beside her and sit down. He looked at her stomach like a curious child might, there was nothing cold or discriminating in the way he was acting.

"Yeah, surprised," Damaris said sarcastically but with a smile, she tried not to remember when she was told what she was told, "So have you been Chath? I haven't seen you for a while." She asked wondering just what he had been up to.
She set the other book she picked up back on the ground, she could always look at the books later, but she hadn't run into Chath for a while, it would be nice to have a chat.

Chath returned to his goofy smile though he still looked a bit embaressed from her previous thoughts. Adjusting in the chair he let his tail hang low before replying to her question.
"Well I took your advice. I am not training as much anymore. MUch to my dragon's annoyance. And I've been going out more...I havn't really met up with anyone yet...but...I am glad I ran into you." He told her truthfully. It was nice to run into someone he knew and nice to just chat and not feel so depressed.
His gaze lingered curiously on her stomach he blinked a moment and then thought he was brave enough to ask, "Do you know the gender?" He inquired hoping she wouldn't be too annoyed that he kept bringing the subject back to her...predicament.

"Well, all the desert grassland whiptails are female, so if that's any indication I'd say its a girl, but, I am not one hundred percent sure." She said, people always wanted to talk about the baby, truthfully though, it was hard. She knew she had to give it up and the more she talked about it, the more she didn't want to, "But...I'm not going to be able to keep it...I'm too young, I couldn't support it..." She said solemnly a little disappointed.
Her eyes seemed to look horribly sad, if only for a split second. She was getting used to a lot of this, but it was still hard to completely cope with.
"I'm glad to be hearing you're getting out more though," She said trying to get her mind off of it, "You even sound happier." She noted.

Chath looked a bit surprised by her words. Not allowed to keep it? That made him feel a bit angry, and sad at the same time. He supposed she was right...she was young...he was young as well...he couldn't imagine trying to look after a child at his age.
He reached a hand over to pat the girls arm, she looked upset he shouldn't of brought it up. "I am sure she will be just as pretty as you. And you can see her eventually right? " He remarked thinking it would be cruel of the coperation to just take her child away and never allow her to see it.
When the conversation was brought back to him he only laughed a bit. "Well..I took your comment to heart. You were right I needed to get out more. Mooping around doens't solve anything." He said with a chuckle.

Damaris shook her head, "No...No, I don't want to see the baby," She said decisively. She didn't want to see the baby, she didn't even want to think about it. She wanted to make sure it got a good home, and that it was well cared for, but she didn't want to see it, "I don't think I could handle it..." She said lowering her head.
She smiled a bit again though when Chath said what she told him had meant a lot to him, "Really? I'm glad, I want to introduce you to some of my other friends some time!" She said wondering if maybe she could get a bunch of her friends together some time just to hang out.

Chath was a bit surprised by her words...though he couldn't exactly blame her. He supposed he wouldn't want anything to do with a child that got taken away from him...that is if he was a girl anyway. And she surely didn't plan on having a pregnancy...he just felt bad for the girl. Having to go all through this...it made his own problems seem laughable.
When the subject switched to friends and meetings he nodded his head. "I would really like that, most of my friends seem to have dissapeared..." He murmured his hand gong up to finger a rock pendant around his throat. He had gotten it from his red panda friend...he had to wonder what happened to him.

"Well why don't you call them then?" Damaris said with a giggle, "People don't just disappear, I'm sure you can get their numbers from a teacher." She suggested.
"That's a pretty necklace." She commented watching Chath fiddle with the amulet around his throat. She wondered if it was as important to him as the necklace Valens had gotten her was important to her.

Chath looked to Damaris and gave a goofy smile of his. "OH this? Yeah my best friend gave it to me. " He piped up, he thought on her words realizing she was right...people didn't just up and dissapear...they must be around somewhere.
Wriggling in his seat as if he was starting to loose his desire to sit, in truth his skin was driving him crazy...he would of preferred standing...but he doubted standing the entire time would be polite. Slipping off his chair he reached for his mister that was attached to his belt. He dried out too fast and thus water was the only way to rejuvinate him.
"Ah I hope you don't mind...I should probably go mist myself...I wonder if there is a washroom in here." He murmured as he stopped himself from misting his body anyway. Mostly because he realized he was in a bookstore...and water usually wasnt something you wanted around books...
