Story

It's been 10 years since The new farmer came to mineral town. Everyone's grown, and the farm has grown. Kai and Popuri got married first, much to Rick's dismay.
Ann and Cliff got married about a year later. Then Elli, and Doctor, Rick, and Karen, and Gray, and Mary got married after that. Jack got married to Alyson. She came from the city. They now take care of the farm together.
Every thing's pretty normal, and everyone's happy.
But with a new generation what will happen? It's up to you.

Username: meggo-waffle

Name: Coralie

Age: 16

Parents: Popuri and Kai

Appearance: Tanned skin, a tone in the middle of Popuri's and Kai's. Her eyes are coral pink, and her hair a dim greyish blonde. She is slightly skinny and short for her age, but pretty busty. She is a fan of vintage clothes and brown leather.

Personality: Depending on her mood, she can be kind, snappy, spontaneous, exotic, quiet, daring, etc. It just depends on how she's feeling that day.

Likes: Flowers; things that grow; as mentioned before, vintage clothing; and veggetables.

Dislikes: Sweets, ignorant people, people with loads of money, and crowds.

Loves: Unknown.

Marriage: She'd say so; love does not wait for age to set in.

Username: Misa Urazuki

Name: Deryn

Age: 16 (17 in a month)

Parents: Rick, and Karen

Appearance: He has light brown hair like his mom, and he usually wears a lot of green.
He hates his glasses, so he got contacts.

Personality: He acts a lot like his dad, although he denies it. He spends a lot of time drawing in his notebook. He takes care of the chickens a lot to help his parents. He likes spending time at the hotspring. One day, he could've sworn he'd seen a really pretty woman with turquoise hair floating in midair by the waterfall, but his dad said he's just going crazy.

Likes: Red Peppers, Scrambled eggs

Dislikes: People who talk too much, Cabbage, Mushrooms, Trash

Loves: Drawing, Anything sweet, Riceballs

Marriage? Yes. In about a year.

Username: Yoshigali

Name: Liaralin (You can call her Lia)

Age: 15

Parents: Cliff and Ann

Appearance: She generally wears brightly colored t-shirts and shorts, but in colder weather she wears a jacket and jeans. She likes skirts too, because they swish when she spins around. If it doesn't swish, she won't wear it. (If it's a skirt.) Her hair is auburn, and her skin is pale. She has one blue eye and one brown eye and both curses and rejoices her genetic oddity. She's got glasses, and loves them!

Personality: Cheerful and calm in general, but she's got the full range of emotions. She is generally quiet and mostly invisible, but she can also be exuberant and loud.

Likes: Art, zombies, chocolate, music, waterfalls, and shiny things. ^.^

Dislikes: Loud noises, cheese, irritating people, and scary/gory movies.

Loves: Calming sounds and seafood. No, really.

Marriage? Maybe if they can really convince her to get married so young, otherwise they need to wait a few years at least.

Username: Cereah

Name: Wynter

Age: Just turned fifteen!

Parents: Jack and Alyson

Appearance: Wynter is a cute combination of her two parents. Her hair is kept at shoulder length and is a dirty blonde with bright blonde bangs and natural highlights from the sun. Her eyes are blue like her mother's and her skin is tanned like her father's. Being only fifteen she is still a bit on the short side, but is still growing, now standing at 150 cm, or just barely below five feet. As mentioned, Wynter would fall into the 'cute girl' category much more quickly than the 'pretty girl' one, which suits her just fine. Wynter dresses in overalls and boots, many of which are hand-me-downs from her mother.

Personality: Wynter, having grown up surrounded by wildlife on her farm, is in love with nature. At first her parents worried about the amount of time she wanted to spend outside with the animals, hoping she would want to play with the neighborhood kids, but soon learned to accept their daughter's passion. It did not take long for Wynter to insist she be allowed to help on the farm, ready to take over it one day. She attacks every task at hand with energy and optimism, much like her parents, and unfortunately does not always ration her energy well. Wynter is far from a recluse, however, and makes sure to visit town often, though she naturally does not speak much, believing actions speak louder than words.

Likes: All animals, eggs, wool, fireworks, and the stars late at night.

Dislikes: Make-up, frilly dresses, medicine, and grape juice.

Loves: Baby animals, milk, festivals, and, of course, nature!

Marriage? It happened to her parents, it'll happen to her. There's no need to go hunting for Mr. Right immediately.

Username: breakawaylover11

Name: Aspen

Age: 17

Parents: Mary and Gray

Appearance: Aspen inherited her mother's long black hair, which she usually has placed either in a low ponytail or left undone, and her father's blue eyes, which, due to another trait she got from her mother, she is forced to cover with glasses, though only when she reads. She's taller than most, her generally skinny exterior fitting her height well. You can usually find her wearing lots of earth toned colors and different kinds of blue, and on occasion she can be found sporting her father's old hat.

Personality: When you first meet Aspen, she appears to have inherited her parents shy personalities, for she doesn't appear to speak much or interact very well with people. It was noticeable to some that she had also inherited her father's negative attitude. But that shy exterior doesn't apply once she gets to know a person. She's actually a very open, charming, funny person. She's also very caring and protective, especially of her mother, who would get hurt easily by little things that might be said on occasion, leaving Aspen to take on the responsibility of helping her feel better.

Likes: Reading, wandering around secluded areas, areas where people wouldn't normally go, like in certain parts of the forest and such, and stargazing.

Dislikes: Closed-minded people, those who don't care for other people's emotions, mushrooms, and not having structure. As much as monotony was boring to some, it helped Aspen find a sense of security. Though the occasional unpredictable occuring, if it's for the better definitely doesn't hurt.

Loves: Writing, animals, nature, and and spending time with her parents and brother, Edward, for when her mother and father are with just her and her brother, they let loose a little bit and they have a blast together. That, and Aspen's time with her parents and brother is precious, since she is approaching the age where, as soon as she can, unless she settles down in town, she is going to go abroad to find a place where her writing career can get started.

Marriage: If the right person comes along, then yes.

Name: Edward

Age: 16

Parents: Mary and Gray

Appearance: Unlike his sister, Aspen, Edward inherited his mother's dark eyes, which are always covered by his glasses, which he has to wear all the time, unlike his sister, and his father's hair, which he never lets grow too long. The excuse he uses for why he kept his hair short was that he got hot easily, so short hair was the best for keeping him cool, when truthfully, he just thought short hair made him look attractive to the ladies. The trait he did share with his sister, though, was that he, too, was especially tall, though his figure wasn't as thin as his sister's, since he'd actually worked toward getting a muscular build. You could normally find him wearing colors similar to what his sister wore, and, on the occasions where his sister wasn't wearing it, he, too, could be found sporting his father's old hat.

Personality: Edward, unlike his parents, he definitely wasn't the shy tpe. He is very loud and boisterous and open all the time. He's quite the comedian, and quite the flirt as well. He's not exactly conceited, he's just...sure of himself. Though he knows when he's wrong and when he's crossed a line or two, so he knows his limits as a gentleman. Underneath his outgoing personality, he's also very sweet and romantic and thoughtful. Everyone in town who knows him know he has this side, they just let him go on believing he's got everyone except the people who know him closest fooled.

Likes: Helping others, knowing he's done a good job, flirting, and blueberries.

Dislikes: Trout, peas, pudding (He had bad experiences as a child with that food...Never eat Karen's pudding...ever.), those who refuse to listen to anyone but themselves, mushrooms, and having too much structure. He likes unpredictability more than most. He works better with it.

Loves: Apple pie, horses, pretty much any form of sweets, and fighting with his sister.

Marriage: He's up for it, if the right person comes along.

Username: PurpleTwinkleToes

Name: Jacob

Age: 15

Parents: Elli & Doctor

Appearance: His brown eyes and hair are pretty common. He is pretty short for a teen, and regrets it. His oval face is covered in freckles, making him look two years younger. He usually is wearing a baggy shirt with overalls on top.
Personality: Jacob is very gentle and nice. He loves animals, and he wants to work on a farm when he grows up. If someone is mean to him, he doesn't get angry, he just talks it out or walks away. Very sensitive and loving. :3

Likes: Animals! Birds are his favorite. He enjoys cake and pudding. He also likes yellow flowers. Apple juice,

Dislikes: Eggs & Sitting around, not doing anything.

Loves:Apples, Pineapple, Bird watching, sitting by the river or the lake, working, and spending time with people he likes. :3

Marriage? Eventually- Probably not for a while though. He probably will find a girl he likes, and, hopefully, become her boyfriend.

Username: Fiyori_Takeshi

Name: Alice

Age: 17

Parents: Harvest Goddess

Appearance: [Alice]

Personality: Unlike her mother, Alice is curious, lonely, shy , and fun loving. She's never met a human before and can normally be found hanging around the goddess pond with her mother or at the harvest sprites house.

Likes: Anything living...mostly crops, and animals.

Dislikes: Pollution, weeds and Mayo

Loves: Flowers

Marriage?: She's never met anyone her age so maybe if there's one that keeps her interest. Her mother also must approve of her mate.

Username: Sailorstarfighter1
Name: Crystal
Age: 16
Parents: Unknown, She came to mineral town looking for work, currently she's living at the Inn.
Personality: She is a kind, caring person. when she first arrives she doesn't talk to people in the village much. Mainly she talks to any animals she sees
Likes: Animals, plants, stargazing from high places, swimming & Festivals.
Dislikes: Girly things & medicine
Loves: Fishing, Food & Animals
Marriage?: depends if she finds someone she likes and who likes her.

Sunlight shone through the window.
Deryn sat up and yawned.
He sat there in bed for a few minutes, mumbled something, and finally got out of bed.
"Deryn! Are you up yet?" Karen yelled from downstairs.
"Er-um... One minute mom!" Deryn yelled, as he started down the stairs.
Rick and Karen were sitting at the table in the kitchen.
"'Morning mom, 'morning dad."
"'Morning." Rick said cheerily.
Karen smiled and nodded.
"I'll make breakfast." She said, as she walked towards the kitchen.
"NO! Er- I mean... No, I'll make it Honey." Rick said, as he rushed towards the kitchen.
Karen looked confused. "Um... okay." She said smiling.
"Actually, I was going to go to the spring this morning, mom."
"Huh? What about breakfast?"
"I'll be fine mom." He said as he headed out the door.

Wynter awoke to the sounds of pots and pans in the kitchen. Knowing her mother must be cooking up something special in honor of the new year, Wynter happily jumped out of bed, throwing her comforter on the floor. Knowing that with spring upon them she would not need it anymore, she did not bother to make her bed with it, instead finding her lighter blankets and using those.

Once finished, Wynter dressed quickly and slid down the ladder that led to her room upstairs, the most recent addition to the house. Landing on the floor with a loud 'thump', Wynter looked to her parents and cheerfully said, "Morning! What's for breakfast?"

Her father, Jack, looked to his daughter with a smile before returning to his task of getting on his boots. "Your mother made french toast."

If an exclamation mark could appear over people's heads when excited one certainly would have been over Wynter's head. Running over to get her plate, she took her food, thanked her mother, and then sat down at the table. Enjoying every bite, she noticed her father making his way outside and called out, "Wait! I want to help!"

Her father chuckled and replied, "Finish your breakfast first. I'll be in the barn."

Wynter nodded and wolfed down the rest of her food. She thanked her mother once more before rushing outside into the fresh spring air, spinning around a couple of times in happiness. Though Wynter loved the snow and season of her birth, she always looked forward to the new animals and crops that arrived with the spring. Winter was nice, but spring seemed to energize everyone and always held wonderful surprises.

Deryn walked along the dirt path. He could here cows mooing, and Chickens clucking.
"Jack must be up." He smiled.
He continued up the path to the springs. He enjoyed sitting there, looking at the scenery.
He got out his notebook, and started sketching.
Meanwhile at the poultry farm...

"Hey Rick," Karen asked, as she stood up.
"Huh? What is it?" He asked.
"Well, I'm a little worried about Deryn..."
"Huh? Why?"
"Well, he's been going to the spring 24/7..."
"Oh... Well... I guess he just wants somewhere quiet to draw..."
"Hmmm... I guess your right."
"Well, I better go take care of the chickens."
"Okay..." Karen sighed as Rick walked outside.

Liaralin opened her eyes to smell of her mother's breakfast. At least, it smelled like her mom's cooking. There was too much sunlight in the room for winter...but that would be right because it's spring now she thought. Last night she stayed up too late trying to celebrate with her parents and the rest of the town who had gathered at the inn, but she had quickly fallen asleep, much to her dismay.

It was spring now. Which would mean spring cleaning. Lia didn't mind cleaning the kitchen or her room, but the rest of the inn, she'd rather not clean. But her mother always did say that a clean home is a good home.

Lia pulled herself out of bed and winced when her bare feet hit the hardwood floor. Still cold, even if it is spring. Gaining energy as she went, Lia made her bed, folding the extra blankets and putting them aside, tidied her room, and got dressed for spring--t-shirt, shorts, and a jacket--then waltzed into the kitchen for breakfast.

After a few hours of sketching, Deryn decided he'd better get home and help his dad with the chickens. He hurried down the path. Gotz was chopping wood in his yard. The sunlight was getting brighter.
"It must be close to noon." Deryn said worriedly.
Sure enough, Rick was waiting outside.
"Deryn- There you are." He sighed.
"Sorry dad I just-"
"Don't worry about it, just help me with the chickens! We don't want to be late for the new years celebration! It starts at noon!"
"Oh... Okay." Deryn said, a little surprised that his dad wasn't mad.
"Just take them outside. I'll take care of the eggs, and the feed."
"Okay dad.
Deryn went inside the chicken coop. The chickens all rushed at him when he came in.
"No! Wait! WAIT! Wait your turn!" He said, as he picked up a chicken.
He came out of the coop looking like he just stood in a hurricane.
Rick smiled.
"You know how they get when they get eager to go outside."
Deryn nodded, remembering the time they had five days of non-stop rain. His dad had to go to the docter's after that...
Once all the chickens were outside, he decided to go to the supermarket for his mom.

The sight that Liaralin found was not what she was expecting. Instead of her mother cooking breakfast leisurely, she found both of her parents franticly rushing about the kitchen.

"Mom, Dad? What's the matter?"

At the sound of Lia's voice, Ann quickly glanced up, surprised to see her, then hurredly started talking. "When did you get up? We're making the food for the celebration, remember? Or at least preparing things. We ran out of time or rather we forgot entirely, like last year. Have you eaten? Of course you haven't, you just got up didn't you? There are some cookies in the cabinet. Oh don't look like that Cliff. She'll eat plenty at the festival!"

Lia glanced at the cabinet, where the empty box of cookies sat behind the closed doors. She had forgotten that she had eaten them all one night when she couldn't sleep. "No, that's okay Mom. I should probably eat something more... breakfasty. Like, a bagel or something. Thanks though."

"Well hurry up, we're leaving as soon as we get these ready. And there. That's the last one! Okay Lia, let's go!"

"Okay, umm... I'll be right with you!" Lia ran to her room and grabbed her shoulder bag, with her notepad and a few pencils. It also held an extremely shiny and oddly circular rock she found at the spring a few years ago.

"C'mon Lia! We're leaving! You can't skip out of this event!"

Sighing after her mother's comment, Liaralin emerged from her room, personally considering herself ready for the day.

"Dad, that's the last of them!" Wynter called out as she set down Scrambled, the last chicken in their coop. With the weather being so wonderful Jack decided to let all the animals outside, the chickens included. While he rang the bell to direct the cows and sheep Wynter was running in and out of the coop with all of their chickens.

Nodding in approval at his daughter's work, Jack replied, "Looks good. Now, time to clean up for the festival."

Wynter looked at their field and pouted. "No planting today?"

Jack laughed at his daughter's disappointed face and responded, "Don't worry, we'll be seeing sprouts soon enough. After we prepped the land this morning and moved onto the barn your mother came out and planted some seeds."

Wynter smiled, happy at this news, and ran for the house, her pet puppy, Snowball, dancing around her heels. Bursting inside she noticed her mom, Alyson, finishing the dish she planned to take with them to the festival- a large chocolate cake. Smiling, Wynter asked, "Will there be milk with it?"

Alsyon laughed and replied, "Possibly, now wash up!"

Wynter nodded and dashed into the bathroom, looking forward to the festival.

"Hello? Grandpa? You there?" He asked, as he walked into the empty store.
"Hm. Wonder where he went."
Deryn got the flour his dad needed, and left the money on the counter.
"I bet they're running errands for the festival too." He said, as he rushed down the road, arms full of groceries.
When he got home he put the flour on the table, and rushed upstairs to take a quick shower.
He came back downstairs about a half an hour later, ((Only this time he didn't smell like chickens.))
Karen was in the kitchen making something.
Deryn hurriedly tried to get out of the house, but Karen noticed him.
"Oh! Deryn! There you are. Could you come try this soup that I made?"
It didn't smell edible, but Deryn nodded, and took a spoonful.
"What do you think?" She asked.
"Er- Um... It's *coughackweeze* Very... Interesting..." He said, his eyes watering.
Karen smiled. "Great! I'll make some more for the festival."
Deryn rushed to the fridge to get something to get the flavor out of his mouth.
Just then the kitchen timer went off.
"Huh? Whats that for mom?"
"Oh. Your father made some bread."
"Where is he?"
"I think he's outside, collecting the eggs-"
All of a sudden, Rick burst through the door.
"I *huff* Got *huff* The eggs!" He said, wheezing.
"Great! Now we can make some pudding too. Hey Deryn, could you take the bread out of the oven for me please?" Karen asked.
"Okay."
The bread smelled great! He put it on the table to cool off.
"I'll make the pudding!" Karen said as she grabbed a the eggs. She dropped one, and tried to pick it up, dropping all the other ones too.
"Oops... Well.. So much for the pudding." She said, blushing slightly.
"That's okay! We still have the bread, and the soup." Rick said smiling.
"Your right." Karen smiled.
"Are we ready to go?" Rick asked, picking up the pot of soup.
"Definitely. Let's go." Karen said, picking up the bread.
