Why is this girl always outside! no wait why is she always running around! Gregory snorted and flicked his ears as he thought to himself. Well I am a horse... he let out a stream of air from his mouth and rolled his eyes. Gregory was waiting on Amad to return from her run in the forest and was having trouble entertaining himself. One because he was lazy and liked other people to do it for him and two...well one just about summed it up. Gregory slumped against a tree and scratched the back of his neck in boredom.
"She better bring me something nice to eat" he complained as he continued his wait.

(Adsali is mine) Adsali walks slowly, beside her was the stallion Zuiliani or Zui for short. His horn shone as they walked along. They soon came upon a teepee. Zui, come on. It shouldn't be much farther to a stream or somewhere we can both drink something." The voice was soft and gentle, barely audible on the wind.
Blasted two legger..;...dragging me around with her all over. The stallion snorted and tossed his head, spying the other stallion at the same moment as Adsali. "Osiyo friend. I know you can't understand me, but perhaps you can show us where some water is."

Gregory took a moment from scratching himself on the poor tree to look at the other stallion and his two legger.
"I understand you fine friend I am no ordinary horse" Gregory shot back. I better behave myself or Amad will be upset...and spirits know we don't want that
"I would be happy to take you to some water there is a nice spring near here however I am waiting for my two legger" Gregory looked at the position of the sun in the sky to determine how much longer it would take.
"She should be here soon" he nodded to the other male then went back to scratching his back.

Zui snorted in amusement and in an aside to Greg whispered, "You do know she doesn't understand right?" He grinned at the other male and nudged Adsali's shoulder for an apple or whatever treat she had with her
Adsali pushed his muzzle away gently, taking out a small knife and an apple, cutting it into slices and offering them to both stallions with a gentle smile. "This should help our thirst a bit unti we can find some water.

He smirked "I know but you understand don't you" he gave a short laugh then perked his ears up and moved forward to take his piece of apple.
"I like two leggers with good treats" Gregory laughed stopping short to turn his head and listened to the forest for a moment.
"Here she comes" Gregory said with almost relief in his voice. Truth be told he did not enjoy his time alone while Amadahy went off by herself in the forest, but it was hard to over come his laziness.
"Hey Gregory look what I found for yo...." a young girl came running through a dense area of trees...barefoot. As soon as Amadahy saw the other stallion and then human she got very quiet and stood still right where she had come through.
Gregory moved over to his two legger and nudged her cheek gently.The girl put her hand on his shoulder and let him lead her over to their guests.
"She doesn't spend a lot of time around other two leggers and is kind of shy" Gregory told the other male.
"I'm trying to break her of it, but it's a lot of work" he laughed. He nudged his girl again.
"Hello I'm Amadahy this is Gregory" the girl said almost robotically. Gregory nudged her a little more gently this time and Amad looked up and at the others revealing her blue eyes.
"Well she's getting better" he shrugged his head then put his nose in Amad's hand and slobbered in it.
"Come I'll show you that spring now"

Zui nibbled on Adsali's dress sleeved and tugged gently as the young woman stood frozen, "I know how that is. She gets quiet around new people." Adsali gave a shy smile and spoke in a tiny voice "Osiyo, I am Adsali and this is Zuilani. You can call him Zui.

"So where were you two headed when you ran into us?" Gregory asked looking back over his shoulder then turning back around
"Wait a minuet!" Greg cried gleefully getting a whiff of something sweet...something edible....could possibly be one of his favorite snacks. Nudging up to Amad he sniffled at her pockets then found the scource of the lovely pungent smell.
"Haha I knew it!" he talked to himself then pulled some purple flowers his girl had tucked in her hair.
"I knew you'd find them" Amadahy laughed as Greg pulled the little purple flowers from her hair. She saved some before he ate them all. Looking behind her she held out the flowers to Zui.
"Would you like some too handsome guy?"
"Well arn't we special" Greg snorted jealously and finished munching HIS treat.

Adsali gave a soft giggle as the other stallion snorted when Amadahy offered him a purple flower. Curiousity caused her to ask, "What are those?" She indicated the flowers as Zui took the offered petals and nibbled on them cautiously. He gave a surprised snort, These are delicious!" He gave a pleased whicker as he chewed the petals.

"I'm not really sure yet" Amad answered back giving Greg's shoulder a rub before continuing
"Gregory usually eats them before I can bring them into the village and ask anyone" She gave a short laugh.
"I find them in nooks and crannies closer up to the mountain" she turned forward again to let her hand rest against her stallions side as they made the rest of the short trip to the spring. The little group stepped into a little clearing seemingly untouched by anyone. A clear pool of water trickled near by on their right a great willow tree looming next to its side. There were plenty of lovely grasses for the horses to eat and a few berry bushes if the humans desired anything.
"Here we are as promised" Gregory nodded showing them the spring. He trotted off to take a drink from the pool then wondered over by the willow.
"So what do you think? It's nice right"he called to Zui.

"It's more than nice. It's perfect!" Zui kicked his back legs up and galloped to the water, then lowered his head to drink. Adsali laughed "They are greedy things at times, aren't they?" She gave Zui a fond look. Then she turned to Amadahy, "Let's sit down and let them play. We could get to know each other." Deed followed word as Adsali sat down in the grass. Zui whinnied "I'm not a thing lady! Geeze, I'm a soquili. So-qui-li-." Adsali was oblivious to the stallion's complaint as she focused on what she hoped was a new friend.

Amad went and sat underneath the great willow tree and let her feet dangle in the water, the cool felt good on her bare feet after her long morning run. She turned to Adsali and racking her brain for something to say asked
"How did the two of you come to be so far out in the woods not many people come up here" Amad played with a strand of her hair while she waited trying her best not to be nervous.
"Awwww look our kids are playing together" Gregory motioned towards the two girls talking.
"About time she talked to a human" Greg added with a twinge of jealousy. He didn't like to share bu he knew this was for the best for Amadahy.

Adsali let out a soft, silvery laugh. "Well you see I'm a wanderer. I have been all my life. I'm all alone in this world, have been since after I was born. I meet Zui on the forest about a week ago." She leaned in closer to Amadahy and whispered in a conspiratory tone.
"Frankly I think he only follows me cause I almost always have treats for him and I know where to get more." She sits up and grins. "Now Zui wanders with me. He's free to leave whenever he likes. I could never keep him as much as it would hurt me."
Zui let out a deep chuckle that rumbled on its way out of his chest. "It's about time! I thought she'd never find a human friend. She talked to me a lot in the wee since we met. She's been an orphan and a wanderer practically her whole life. I worry for her sanity sometimes. Don't get me wrong, she hasn't done anything weird." The stallion explained hastily.
"It's just, being alone for so long can't really be good for anyone. That's why I'm planning on sticking with her. She needs the company. she likes to roam...quite a lot actually." He gave Gregory a sheepish grin
"So try not to feel too jealous, eh friend?"
What about you Amadahy? How did you and Gregory meet?"

"Sorry I can't help it" he muttered as he looked over to the girls starting to chat.
"We just kind of met one day I say her going off all the time into the forest and got curious and followed" he smiled remembering their first meeting, him complaining about having to haul his butt up into the forest after the two legger. Gregory somehow enjoyed it tho this girl was his family he knew that deep in his heart, they were both quiet in their own ways but knew each other.
"She started to come and visit me in the fields and bring me treats she'd sit and talk to me and we just bonded I guess" he pawed the ground thoughtfully.
"Gregory and I met pretty much the same way kinda" Amad began telling the other girl
" He had wondered after me one day when I went exploring in the forest" he laughed out loud at this a real laugh which reminded Gregory of tinkling bells.
"I could tell he hated it but for some reason he kept following me, so I began visiting him bringing him tasty things I'd find and I'd talk to him" she looked down
"I am not exactly an orphan I live with my grandmother and aunt but I have no idea who my parents were just how they died" she sighed for a moment then added
" Plus some of the other kids in the village tease me because of my eyes and because I'd rather be with animals and nature then most of them. She looked at Adsali with her sky blue eyes a rarity in their people and smiled
"I like to learn about plants and what they can be used for" she looked at Gregory and Zui and said
"One day I can help humans and horses with what I have learned" she smiled at her new friend and found that she felt strangely comfortable talking to this girl

Adsali smiled brightly at Amadahy. "That's a great talent and a wonderful dream that you have. Me, I just sing. I'm not even very good." She flushed as Zui gave an outraged snort.
"Though someone seems to disagree."
"Just sings my left forehoof! She sings like a bird. You've never heard such a singer!" He was sure if Adsali could understand, she'd blush and throw something at him.
You'd think she'd be less shy with such a voice. This is one of the times I wish two leggers could understand us."

"Singing is amazing too" Amad said firmly to Adsali
"Even people with terrible voices enjoy singing so just think that you are even more blessed to have a beautiful voice" she smiled
"My aunt likes to sing but she sounds like a sea gull" she laughed out loud at this.
"She is so not joking either" Gregory added to Zui and flicked his ear back against his head while he made a face.
"It is so dreadful it's the one time I'm glad Amadahy drags me out into the woods" he shivered then trotted over to munch on some of the berry bushes.
"Greg isn't a fan either" she chuckled as she watched Gregory have what looked like a spasm.
"I think he almost cried once" she added then teased Greg
"Big baby" Amadahy bounced up and quickly pulled two handfulls of berries from the bush and sat back down next to Adsali placing the berries on a broad leaf.
"He'll eat them all" she half whispered to the other girl.
"Ok that was just mean" Gregory flicked his tail and grabbed a mouth full of leaves got them all slobbery and spit them out in Amad's lap
