I was wondering if anyone had any experience with making home-made broth with preferably chicken bones?
I am curious on how to make it with chicken bones like when putting it in the water if to let it sit or boil it or something.
I am wondering this because I am wanting to learn how to make broth to make my own home-made chicken soup.

You take miripoix... which is a combination of celery, carrot, and onion in proportion of 1 part each of carrot and celery and two parts onion, and put it in the pot with the bones. Cover with cold water. Add salt. Bring the temperature up slowly until it comes to a boil, then turn down to a simmer. I usually simmer mine for an hour or two. Then I take the bones and veggies out.
I usually have left over meat that I've picked off the bones too. I chop that up and add it back to the broth. Then I add uncooked rice and let it cook in the broth because I like chicken soup with rice. But you could add noodles, finely chopped veggies... whatever YOU like in your soup. And then let it cook until what you've added is done.
