Blessed Be and have a great Lammas/Imbolc everybody! This is what it says in Soraya's Book of Spells about Lammas Quote: This is a harvest festival, also known as Lughnasadh, and is symbolic of the last day of summer and the year's first harvest. This is a time to make bread and as you do so give thanks for the crops of the summer as you knead the dough. Soup can be made with summer vegetables. As you make the soup give thanks for the prosperity that allowed you to buy that food and for the conditions that allowed those vegetables to be grown. Orange and yellow foods that represent the sun would be appropriate and edible flowers such as nasturtium and marigold could be included with breads and salads. Significance: A harvest festival Herbs: Parsley, marjoram, flower petals, leafy salad herbs Foods: Breads, grains, summer fruits and vegetables

Happy Lammas Blessings to all!! I hope you all have a great time.
Here's my contribution, a spicy vegetable soup that I'll be cooking later!:
SPICY VEGETABLE SOUP • 2 large diced onions • Oil for frying • 1 can- 14 oz crushed or diced tomatoes • 1 tablespoon finely chopped parsley • 2 carrots diced • 3 celery stalks diced • 1 ½ tsp turmeric • 1 tsp pepper • 1 tsp paprika • salt to taste • 1 tablespoon vegetable soup powder In a large heavy pot, heat the oil, when hot, add and stir onions, stir until golden brown. Then add tomatoes, parsley, and spices. Stir until liquid has disappeared then add vegetables stir for 1 to 2 minutes. Add enough water to cover the vegetables and a little more if you want it thinner. Boil then simmer until carrots are soft. For a complete meal add couscous, boiled noodles or boiled soft split peas. Boil the split peas separately and add to soup.

Happy Lammas! Yule thing to do is empower mistletoe for healing. At least that what me and my friends do.

Happy Lammas! Happy Imbolc in the Southern Hemisphere!
For Lamma, I take a walk in our woods and bring a little grain, a corn cake, an apple and berries as well as some squash. I sit by by our babbling brook and give thanks for the harvest, honor the Sun God as he ages to an elder as well as mediate.
For Yule, one of things that I do is burn a yule log or have a bonfire to celebrate the rebirth of the Oak King.

We call it Lughnasadh-but whether it be Lammas or Imbolc I hope everyone has a great day! We are planning to see what is ready in the garden and we will eat that as part of our feast before our ritual. For Yule we always host a clan gathering and burn a Yule log. Good company, good food, good worship, for us that's what holidays are about.

Wait, it says post something related to Litha/Yule? Did you copy and past this from last sabbat? Or do you actually mean Yule... XD
Anyway, happy Lammas or Imbolc. I like making potpourri, so here it goes:
Lammas Ritual Potpourri
Recipe by Gerina Dunwich 20 drops clove bud oil 25 drops sandalwood oil 1 cup oak moss 2 cups dried pink rosebuds 2 cups dried red peony petals 1 cup dried amaranth flowers 1 cup dried heather flowers Mix the clove bud and sandalwood oils with the oak moss and then add the remaining ingredients. Stir the potpourri well and store in a tightly covered ceramic or glass container. (The above recipe for "Lammas Ritual Potpourri" is quoted directly from Gerina Dunwich's book "The Wicca Spellbook: A Witch's Collection of Wiccan Spells, Potions and Recipes", page 163, A Citadel Press Book, Carol Publishing Group, 1994/1995)
