I took this from my Harry Potter forum on fanfiction.net. You list, in numerical order, things that make you realise you think about Harry Potter a lot more than most. Remember to look at the number of the last thing listed so you can number yours correctly. If the numbering gets off, I will ask you to fix it. I'll start with several to get us started.
1. You decide you MUST have a big, shabby black dog named Sirius.
2. You write the word "serious" or "seriously" as "sirius" or "siriusly".
3. You start making a "you know you think too much about Harry Potter when..." list.
4. You fashion a wand out of a pencil, stick, ect. and you wave it around muttering the Latin words, hoping something will happen.
5. You're disappointed when nothing happens.
6. You cried while reading books 5, 6, and/or 7.
7. When you make fansites dedicated to your favourite pairing, whether it's canon or not.
8. When you can name the birthdays of Harry, Ron, Hermione, Draco, ect.
9. When you can name 5 or more spells from the books.
10. When you make a muggle version of Qudditch.
11. You tell someone you'll Avada Kedevra them
12. You finish your exam and you shout, "Damn! I can't use magic, I'm underaged!
13. You talk about how you could apparate if you didn't splinch every time.
14. You can relate any experiance, word, ect. to Harry Potter.
15. You try to throw jinxes at people who make you mad, then get even madder cause you know it doesn't work.
16.When you find out a friends last name is Salazar, and immediately think of Salazar Slytherin.
17. When you take different coloured glowsticks and throw them at people, pretending they are curses.
18. You and your friends start an alliance at your school to protect the books/movies from being banned because you live in the US where the people are stupid and all 50 states want them banned and 2 have already done so.
I am guilty of 14, 15, 16, and 18. Number 17 is something a friend of mine does. But I am tempted to do it.

However when I owled LHH she said you deserve five points for your marvelously scholarly, wonderful list!
She did ask if you would you please click the link above and port your post into that thread? (and give a link in it to this thread, here.
She advised me to read closer, that it is NOT a duplicate thread, it gives people a chance to add to the list, and then share what on the list they do. So I am unlocking it again!

I've a lot more where those came from and some of them get crazy.
19. You wear cloaks to school.
20. You ask people if they too can see the Thestrals.
21. You refuse to explain what a Thestral is.
22. You jump off a high place with a broomstick under you to see if you can fly.
23. You've actually created a Daily Prophet of your own.
24. You dress in the most mismatched things and walk into public declaring it's your "Muggle attire".
25. You fashion a wand and go infront of a LARGE crowd and start dueling with another Potter fan.
26. You sing Wizard Rock wherever you go.
27. You're future children's names include the first name of Phoenix or harry potter referanceable names.
28. You get a tatoo of the hallows on your wrist, lowerback, shoulder blade.
29. You have a pure white ferret named Draco.
30. you switch in between a british/american dialect
31. You try to get your car to fly to no avail.
32. You made a 42 question quiz and are going to make revisons to incorporate the seventh book
33. Everything that people do or say somehow relates to Harry Potter in your mind.
34. you duel with the *only* fellow potterholic in your school except you during a free period, using drumsticks, and accidently poking someone in the eye.
35. You often think of casting the muffliato spell, and realize you don't have a wand. (ot other spells)
36. you and your friend think of convincing your PE teacher to let you play a muggle version of quidditch during class.
37. you reread the books from 1-7 every (maximum) 4 months, and read random ones all the while.
38. you and your friend try to convince every red-head in the grade to dress up as ron with you (hermione) and your friend (harry) for Purim . (jewish halloween)
39. you do a huge collage of HP sketches and drawings from various sources.
40. You fantasize about apparating, and many other things.
I'm guilty of so many of these...but not all of them. Some of these are things my crazed friends made up.

41. Whenever you talk on the phone, the name Harry Potter gets brought up. Always.
42. You've searched through every alley in your city looking for entrance
43. You hope that Salem (the school) sends out letter at the very end of summer before 9th grade ('cause that means they haven't missed me!)
44. You've created a commercial for Ollivanders.
45. You think the huge golf house with it's little side house on the hill looks like Hogwarts (I swear it does)
46. You can just feel the magic coursing through you...

47. The word manor makes you think of Malfoy manor.
48. You automatically think of Draco Malfoy when you hear about the Draco constellation.
49. The Sirius constellation and Sirius satellite radio always makes you think of Sirius Black.
50. You decide to buy the copy of Tales of Bettle the Bard when it comes out.

51. Instead of telling your kids that lightening comes from Zeus, you plan to tell them it come from Harry when he's angry
52. You dressed up as an HP character for Halloween (or Potter events)
53. In order to make you future son's middle name Sirius, you tell everybody it has nothing to do with HP and has everything to do with telling him he's the brightest star
54. You HP RP all the time, IRL and on the computer
55. You create sim families of the HP families
56. You tektek characters just for fun
57. You create families for characters who had no chance of having families and deserve them
58. Your in Sirius Denial (I swear, when he fell beyond the veil he was spit out in the middle of NYC as a hobo!)
59. You wallpapered your room with HP pics & merch
60. You begged your mum for a wand from Allivans
61. You say mum instead of mom and refer to everything as "bloody" and "wicked"
62. You immediatly thought SiriusxRemus when they hugged in PoA
63. You keep adding to the list...

The most amusing moment was when I was coming home from the local cyber cafe late one night, and as I was walking from my car to the door, I saw a huge black dog and thought "HOLY CRAP THE GRIM!!!" and about soiled myself. Haha.

64.You imagine your self in the books
65.You walk around school saying outloud to everone that you know the boy who lived
66.You go on and on about something related to Harry Potter to your parents before they finaly tell you they have absolutly NO IDEA WHAT YOUR TALKING ABOUT !!!!
67.You knew that in your heart Harry could never realy die (even BEFORE you read the last book)

Loving those. But er....could you go back and edit those numbers to be numbers 64, 65, 66, and 67? I'd greatly appreciate if the numbering stayed on track. Thanks very much!

69. You believed Lucius and Narcissa had somewhat of a caring side, at least for their son.
70. You have a complete forum on fanfiction.net devoted to Harry Potter.
71. You put the "We Didn't Start the Fandom" song on your new iPod Touch.
72. You sing the "We Didn't Start the Fandom" lyrics to "We Didn't Start the Fire" instead of the lyrics to the actual song whenever it comes on on the radio or on your iPod/mp3 player.
73. You decide to make many subtle refrences that only die hard HP fans will catch in your new novel.
74. You have the "Snape is loyal" sticker that Borders and Waldenbooks handed out.
And I am most definately guilty of every one of the ones I just listed.

75. you compare your teachers with the hogwarts professors
76. you write a 50,000 word fanfic for a contest with a plotline centering around Neville
77. the first conversation you ever had with one of your friends was about harry potter
78. you told everyone that Harry was your date to homecoming
79. you randomly break out into coruses of 'Weasly is our king' when your team makes a touchdown at the school football games
80. you dressed up as a harry potter character for halloween
81. you complained during the movies when they left parts out
82. you have a pet rat called scabbers
83. you have a notebook dedicated to doodles of harry potter characters
84. you can recite parts of the book by heart.
i'm guilty of 75(my english teacher is 100% snape), 76, 77, 79 (me and my friend do it ALWAYS.), 80, 81, 83 and 84 (i used to be able to recite an entire chapter of the first book...the one where harry, ron, hermione, and neville first meet Fluffy. just cuz i loved when peeves does the whole 'i shan't say nothing if you dont say please' thing with filch...xP). the rest ofthem, my friend has done.

I'm guilty of 75, 81, and 84. I would be guilty of 79 if our football(american) team ever did anything worth singing that for. Is the 50,000 word story for NaNoWriMo?
85. You met your boyfriend or girlfriend at the release party for one of the books and stayed together for a long time.
I am guilt of 85. I met my current boyfriend of a year and four months at the Deathly Hallows release party. Funny thing is that, merely a couple weeks prior, he had said to a mutual friend of ours that he wasn't looking for a girlfriend. ^_^
