Okay, so I was away in Hawaii for two weeks, and missed a lot of important marching stuff. Even though back in the original freshmen introduction to marching band I was already doing the 8/16/6 backwards, I was having some trouble the second day getting back from Hawaii at camp. Well, this one guy in my section that I have a crush on decided to take me one-on-one for teaching me how to march!
Ever have something like this happen to you with a marching crush you had?

There's this guy who's friends with my brother, and I don't have a crush on him or anything but it was really funny what happened.
The band director was teaching us the drills and some of the section leaders were going around and helping people with their posture and what not. Well, the kid I told you about is the low brass section leader, and he just so happened to be standing right next to me. He looked at the way I was standing and he kept saying "Looking good!"
I know he didn't mean it like that, but it was really funny when he said it. I was trying really hard not to laugh.

ha. i just have wishful thinking =/
the guy i like in my section knows i like him so he avoids talking to me because of that =/
funny at how he's 1 of 3 section leaders we have. and the other two helped me out more than he did >_<

Those are fun! I have a crush on this guy in marghing band and I ran up and hugged him and he's like, you did it wrong, then hugged me again! Then my dad drove up. heh

My crush SHOULD be in marching band...but he's stupid and didn't wanna be. I just told him he was dumb. 3nodding I still see him in concert band. mrgreen

We have little hookie-do's on the top of our uniforms, and occasionally people go up to each other and say, do me.
We're down at disney world and this guy I have a HUGE crush on comes to me and says just that.
I knew what he meant...

well, my crush isn't in marching band, but i am, and it was the wierdest thing, we have monday night practices and we go out to eat after practice sometimes (not me and my crush. the band)
he came to watch us practice! heart 4laugh heart (nobody at school but band students really care about the band) and when practice was over he went to eat with the band

lol...I have 2 band crushes, both in my section...
the first one, adopted me as his freshman ( yay =D )
and the second one...nothing really except for him sitting next to me during inside music time and marching next to me in block on may camp

Heh, its fun to read about other people like me who have marching crushes! Thank god for internet, when we don't know each other AT ALL.
Today I went to marching band on a scooter and pretty much everyone, including my marching crush (who's officially named me his freshman because he's my dress point for the whole of the second movement of our show) stole it xd
Especially funny when he's the second tallest in the band and I have a tiny scooter lol

Oh my gosh, today at colorguard practice i didn't have a hairtie so i was using a bracelet that i had in my bag and just before we were going to run through a song i tried tightening it, and it broke redface
so i was already thinking "i wanna go hide under a rock now" but then it got a little worse (or a little better, depending on how you look at it)
there was tryouts for the school's fall play today too, so the guy i like was there too and so when my bracelet broke he was right there helping me pick up the beads that scattered all over the floor
HE'S SO NICE!!! (and cute too!) heart
i wanted to scream, hug him, and go hide in the bathrooms all at once
redface xd blaugh sweatdrop heart rofl
but i started cracking up, i seriously couldn't stop laughing for, like, 5 minutes

lmao totally disregard my last post.
its like the complete opposite now.
my crush, he kept trying to teach me how to set diagonals and he also tried to teach me to split on 45-50.
i was like omg.
and i march next to him in our show too.
we have 3 songs.
i march next to him for almost the whole 3rd song.
im so scared when i march backwards i'll hit him.
and today he got my uniform for me too.

Mine was my squad leader during band camp.
We were working on side-stepping and he had to adjust the way my hips were turned.
Now when ever he sees me he gives me a high five. Or four. It's that cool.
And recently we had a bottle and can drive, and I got to go with him and a bunch of other people to collect said recycibles from unsuspecting residents of the town. AND after that members of the band got together at the football field to play some band football. I got to be on his team, and he gave me, my brother the sousaphonist, and our friend Jon the bass drummer a ride home.

Well I'm taken so it wasn't really a crush but I went skating with a friend from the band and her church group and there were a lot of band people there so I OK with it. But my arch rival on Contra and her brother were there (it's no big deal he's cool and she and I have no grudges) so when it came time for the hokey Pokey, I was partners with her brother and I just thought it was pretty funny. It was awkward because I had no idea how to do it and her brother played contra in the concert band the previous semester AND he had marched trumpet for marching season so needless to say for me, I would have had a crush on him in any other circumstance.
