When the boys had returned home from their various hobbies outside of the house they and their dragons were surprised to find their father in a bit of an excited rush. They exchanged slightly worried glances, wondering if maybe he'd gotten into some bad coffee or something.
"You two, go and get ready we are going out to dinner." He told them, giving them no time to refuse as he hurried off to find his missing shoe.
"Wonder whats up." Geia murmured to himself, looking over at his brother.
The snake gave a shrug of his shoulder then went to flop down on the couch, "Don't know but I'm already, ready." Not like he was one for dressing up, in fact he never wore anything more then the many piercings that decorated his person.
The owl gave a little laugh before turning to head to his room. His brother might not need to get ready but he would rather change before they went out. He had no clue what was going on but for their father to be moving as fast as he was it must be important.
*****
An hour later the trio were standing in front of a nice restaurant. It surprised them from time to time when they recalled that their father actually wasn't that bad off when it came to money.
Ter was leaning against the warm stone of the building wall, coiled up, and looking lazy and uninterested... though as much as he feigned not caring his gold eyes were darting back and forth as he tried to figure out who they were waiting for.
Geia was waiting a little less patiently, looking back and forth, and having trouble staying on the ground the way his wings were flapping in excitement. It was a 'surprise' their father had said and despite him asking the man over and over again what the surprise was he had yet to give in and tell him the secret.
Orpheus, the only one that knew what was going on, was waiting and watching. Not exactly patient himself but he did look it more then Ligeia did. He was excited really, couldn't wait to see his good friend again now that she was back from her latest string of jobs.

Kale looked over at his mother, lifting an eyebrow. He never really seen her that fidgety before, or that concerned about how she looked. She checked herself in the review mirror for the fiftieth time. "Mom!" He almost wined as he got her attention. "Come on, we are late and I I want to see them!"
Emer jumped a little and sighed nodded. "Alright, alright." She gave a nervously chuckle as she stepped out of her car pulling at the slightly form fitting black dress. Kale wore at least nice black jeans and tshirt without any holes in it.
The guys waiting at the entrance heard her heels on the pavment, then Kale's excited voice when he spotted Geia and Ter. "Hey! Mom was taking so long I was afread you where going to leave!" Kale called as he hurried up to the trio. Emer smiled and waved from a few paces behind, her hair longer now brushing past her shoulders, black still mixing with red through.

Ter pushed away from the wall upon hearing a familiar voice, eyes widening a bit. Before he could say anything the poor giraffe boy was getting swept up into one of Ligeia's hugs and snuggled on. The owl hugged his friend tightly, wings wrapping around him for a moment before he drew back, "Ahhh... hahaha... sorry." He murmured, having gotten a bit swept up in the moment and couldn't help but hug the friend he'd not seen in a while.
The snake rolled his eyes, "As if he needs to get smothered." He muttered then reached out a hand to ruffle Kale's hair, "Long time no see." He was pleased to see the boy still had the piercings they done together a while back.
Orpheus watched his boys fawn over Kale before he turned his attention to Emer, giving her a smile, "Hi." He murmured, finding himself a little unsure of what he should say since it had been so long. As such he ended up only stating the obvious, "We have a table inside waiting for us."

There was a lot of mumbling and a little flailing as he struggled to breath under Geia's welcome. When he was let up for some air he grinned at Ter, the red jeweled nose ring sparkling as he moved. "Hey, yeah, Mom had a lot more business trip things she had to drag me on."
Emer smiled at Orphues, and pressed a kiss agaisnt his cheek, "Wow, thinking ahead? That has to be a first." She was acting just like she had before the trip, but there seemed to a little tension in her movements. She seemed to relax a little when she gave Geia and Ter both a kiss as she passed them heading into the restaurant.

The redhead laughed, "I have been practicing my thinking abilities." His job made sure of it, "Come on Ter, Geia, Kale, lets go in and sit down. We can talk there while we order." He said and followed after Emer.
"Lucky, getting to go to other places." Ter said, he'd love to get out more and get to see places other then D-Corp from time. Now that his Baroness could fly that was a possibility though. The snake gave a jolt of surprise at the kiss, blinking a couple times as Emer walked by into the restaurant. That had been unexpected.
Geia gave a bright smile at the kiss he'd gotten before turning his attention back to Kale, "Will you tell us about your trips?" He asked, offering a hand to the giraffe to take so they could go inside after their parents together.

Kale rolled his eyes as he took his friend's hand as they moved threw the room to their table. "It's mostly sitting in a hotel room. Mom tries to take me to see the local stuff when she can, but most of the time she is working. It's really boring." He sighed as he took a seat between Geia and Ter.
"It's not that bad," Emer sighed as she sat down, "We went out more then he wants you to think. But I am sure most of it was boring. Maybe next time one or both of you can come out to where ever for a week or so." She swept a lock of red hair out of her face before looking over at Orphues. "So what have you been up to?"

"That sucks, maybe you should come hang out with me then." Ter said, giving a fanged smile that only meant trouble. Kale was amongst the few younger people that he really liked and wanted to hang out with and influence. He bet he could have a lot of fun bringing him to meet some of the others he knew. Especially Z or Nibal he had to meet.
Geia looked at the snake a little worriedly, "Not sure how much Emer would like that." He said in a teasing voice then lowered his head to whisper to Kale, "Ter likes to get into trouble a lot."
The two teens turned to Emer giving nods simultaneously, both all for visiting the places that Emer went to on her trips with Kale.
Orpheus gave a bit of a laugh, Ter was acting the best he'd seen in a while, he wondered if it meant the snake was up to something... He turned his attention back to Emer as he was sure Ligeia would keep an eye on things, "The same old stuff... though one can't really call it that given my job." He joked. Emer would know all about that given he'd done one class already for Kale, for a skill that left the woman unimpressed...

Kale laughed his fingers brushing the earing in his ear, "Yeah, I wouldn't think that would change." He whispered back. He spoke so both could hear him next, "It would be great to have you guys there. Mom might actually let me out of the hotel without her then. Oh hey Mom, can I give them my presents?"
Emer laughed, her red eyes sparkling as she looked over at Orphues, "Teaching more kids to write with their tounges?" When Kale asked his question she smiled and nodded. "Yeah, just a second." She picked up her bag and pulled out a long garment box wrapped with deep blue paper, and an ornate long thin box. Kale handed the garment box to Geia, and the ornate box to Ter.

Ter seemed quite interested in the idea of getting to travel with them, the only question that came to mind was whether or not Baroness would be able to go. She wouldn't sit by idly and say nothing if her boy were allowed to go some place special without her.
"Hrm? Presents?" Ter asked, his full attention on Kale, giver of gifts.
Geia elbowed his brother before giving Kale a smile, "Thank you, thats so sweet of you to think of us." He said, accepting the box that was handed to him. He opened it up carefully, looking inside and his eyes widened, "Wow! How pretty! Thank you Kale." He ran a gloved hand carefully over the material, a pretty blue that was decorated with flower petal design. Z would have a fit if she saw him in it he thought before giggling.
Ter watched the owl a moment before he opened up the box he'd been handed, looking over the item within. He gave a grin as took it out, "Awesome." He said looking the armband over. It was made of metal and had some great etchings in it, "Thanks Kale, this is great." He leaned over and murmured, "Thanks, seriously. Ligeia's been a bit down lately but you have him smiling like an idiot again."
Orpheus couldn't help but laugh, "Actually... yes. There was one boy who came for a class similar to the one that Kale did." He admitted then looked over at his sons as they fawned over the presents they were given.

Kale grinned from ear to ear, thrilled his presents had went over so well. "The arm band came from Egypt, it is made out of brass, and the kimono...well Japan of coarse."
Emer's eyes widened and she shook her head laughing, "I was just joking... Here that Kale, some one can write with their tounge like you can." When Orphues wasn't looking Emer slipped a carefully wrapped box in front of him. There was rare whole coffee beans in the box, keeping a lotus that had been cut from a ruby.
Kale looked over at the two of the and pouted a little, "Really? I kinda liked being the only one that could do that kind of stuff. What kind of animal are they?"

Ter looked the armband over before putting it on, "Wonder how long I will be able to wear it before Baroness steals it." He said in a half joking sort of way. He set the box that the armband was in to the side.
Orpheus laughed, "Not sure if he could write with is tongue like you, his shot out to catch things and was sticky." He explained, "His DNA is that of a Poison Arrow Frog."
Ter gave a chuckle, "Yeah, Nibal. Hes great."
Ligeia carefully closed the box that held teh kimono and placed it to the side just as carefully, "I will have to try it on when I get home." He said, excited to see how it looked on him.
Orpheus looked down, starring at the present sitting before him then looked over at Emer and grinned, "Thanks." he murmured before opening it up only to stare with wide eyed delight at the contents, the scent was so good that he almost started to drool, "Wow."
As he drooled over his present a cute waitress appeared with a stack of menus for the family, "I have your menus here, do you know what you would like to drink or do you needs some time to decide?"

Emer tried to hide her blush by taking a drink of water. Kale looked up at the girl and smiled, "Can I get a coke?" He asked with a big grin on his face. Emer cleared her voice, "I just want some more water thanks." She picked up the menu looking threw the things they had to order, noting the salad's to show to Kale after the girl finished taking the drink orders.

Ter looked at his menu, "Coke sounds good." He said, ordering one as well without looking up from the different food trying to find something that appealed to him.
"I'd like some lemonade please." The owl asked, giving the woman a bright smile then went to reading over the menu.
Orpheus started to read his over before ordering himself some coffee. He looked up at the the three kids and then Emer, "Order anything you like." He told them, not really minding the prices since the place had good food and good prices as well.

Emer looked over her menu at Orpheus lifting an eyebrow, then shrugged. He wasn't trying to impress anyone, he was not that kind of person. When the waitress came back around she looked up and smiled, "I'll have the stake medium rare." She handed the menu to the girl before taking a small sip of her drink.
Kale grinned from ear to ear, "Can I have the really big salad, without any meat at all." He handed the menu to the girl as well taking a long sip of his coke, it was a rare treat and he was going to enjoy it as much as he could. He looked over at the other two boys. "What have you guys been up too?"

Orpheus starred at the menu for a long moment, thought it over before he ordered a salad similar to the one that Kale was eating. He was having trouble most days eating anything similar to any of students he'd had in class which counted out basically everything... he handed the menu over before turning to look at Ligeia and Ter.
"Hmmm... I'd like the pasta with the shrimp and broccoli please." Ligeia ordered, handing over the menu.
Ter swished his the end of his tail back and forth as he read over the menu, looking for something that sounded good, "Ahh, this here. Shish-ka-bobs!" There was meat, fruit, and afew veggies that had been run through with a metal stick. Sounded fun, violent, and delicious.
The last menu was handed to the woman from the snake and he turned to Kale, "All the fun things. Fighting and Girls!" He said, grinning, showing fangs.
Ligeia shook his head, "I've been taking some classes, training in my magics, and babysitting." He said to Kale, hoping he would find things better to do with his time then what Ter thought was interesting.
