It was funny how Siagi could live an oxymoron. That morning he had complained, rather loudly as always, that he was bored out of his mind. So he had headed off, once he had verbalized his problem for a good half hour, to find something more interesting to do. He had headed towards the prideland's borders, since the pattern of the pride was pretty consistant the closer and closer you got to priderock.
But once he got near enough he found he didn't want to wander around anymore. So the blonde lion had flopped down among the tall grasses and stretched out lazily in the sun. He wasn't tired enough to sleep, per say, but he let his mind drift off.

The orange lioness wasn't aware she was near the borders of the pridelands, even if she was aware, she wouldn't have cared much. Lions were lions and she trusted every one of them, not knowing that if she ever came across a bad lion they could kill her. However, Eva wasn't even aware of death. Sure she had hunted and killed before, but lions were immortal, right?
Bouncing along happily, on a trail to nowhere, she noticed the blonde colored lump hiding in the grass. Without even debating it for a second, the cheerful lioness spoke to him.
"Heya mister! What's up?!" The lioness crouched and wiggled her bottom like a cub, ready to play. Then she stopped wiggling for a second. "I mean, what's your name?"
The lioness was still trying to learn how to act more mature, introducing before acting casual.

Siagi groaned as a very loud voice woke him. Just when he had been trying to nap! He rolled over grumpily, his ears dropping and his expression mirroring them. He rubbed a large paw against his head, putting off any attempts at sitting up. He rather liked where he was, thank you.
"Ugh...what the hell?" he grumbled at her, his voice sounding very unpassionate, "Where's the fire? You don't have to shout at me..." He sighed and rolled his eyes in exasperation.
"Siagi," he drawled, "So what's the deal...?" He watched her lazily.

"Oh my god...a fire?" She asked, nervously. Red eyes beamed around, looking for signs of smoke. "I don't really like fires. I mean, they're pretty and all, but they can singe fur! I don't know where the fire's at, Mister." Giving him a puzzling look, she then shrugged.
The clueless lioness hadn't noticed that he was being sarcastic with her, and even had an slight attitude problem. She gave him a smile, as if he was as sweet as sunshine.
"Oh, Siagi's your name? Siagi...Siagi...Siagi!" She chanted, attempting to get the name lodged in her memory. "Silly-Innocent-African-Gazelle-i...i..CRAP I can't think of another 'I' word! Oh well!"
Looking over at the large male, she continued to smile at him.
"So where is that fire?"

"You've got to be kidding me," he groaned, looking skyward in exasperation. Was this lioness for real? She had really lost her marbles. He didn't think anyone could be that stupid. Guess he was wrong. Why was it that when life decided to prove him wrong it was always a pain in the a**?
"What did I do to deserve this?" he grumbled, rolling over so that his back was to her. He shut his eyes, hoping that he could struggle through a nap regardless of the company. It was better than getting a headache.
"There's no fire. Figure of speech."

Frowning, the lioness gave him an odd look. Now if anyone was confusing, it was him. Fires? Why would he joke with the word fire. Fires were very serious. Least she thought so.
"Oh. Oh. Sorry." Eva stated as her red eyes danced around. "Um. So why are you acting all crazy?"
He was the one acting crazy wasn't he? Fires one second, something else the next. Eva didn't really understand the way some lions reacted to her. In fact. She had never met a lion that understood her, but she could never comprehend that. Everyone was a friend to her.
Stretching her back legs, she let out a yawn and collapsed next to him. Her body pressing against him.
"So whatsa matter, Mister? Tummyache?"

"Me? Acting crazy?" He sighed, honestly wondering where in the world this lioness's brain had disappeared to. It also made him grumpy realizing his lovely sarcasm was lost on her. Though admittedly it was often lost on others, but still! There wasn't any gleaming hope of sense with this girl.
"I think you better go look in a pool of water, missy," he grumbled, though it was useless. She wouldn't understand that comment either.
His ears pinned back as she rested against him. That definately wasn't normal either. A shiver ran down his spine, lifting his fur a little, and he yanked himself away, "Hey don't do that!" He frowned at her, trying to untangle his limbs into a new position with less proximity between them.

"Ah, but I'm not thirsty right now. I went to the water hole earlier today." The happy lioness stated, referring to his comment about a pool of water.
As he shifted positions to create more distance between them, she hardly noticed. She just continued to smile and gave him a sweet look with her eyes. Such a nice lion he was, and that's what she truly thought about him. She rarely saw the rudeness in others, everyone was a beam of sunshine. Eva's eyes began to wander, she hadn't really taken note of her surroundings yet.
"Hey, where am I?" She asked curiously. "Oh. And my name's Eva, sir!"

Man, he would kill to be able to fall asleep right now. It'd be so much better than listening to her stupidity. He only hoped it wasn't contagious...he hoped that if he ever ended up brainwashed like her someday his family would quickly put him out of his misery.
He grunted something that sounded like "Siagi" in reply. He didn't try to talk to her about the water issue. She was way too far gone to have a clue. He wasn't going to waste his breath. He only hoped that saying where she was wouldn't start a similar cycle of idiocy.
"You're in the Pridelands."

"Siagi. Siagi. Siagi's your name? Oh wait! I think I already knew that." She chanted, he had mentioned that earlier right?
As he mentioned she was in the Pridelands, a shiver traveled down her spine. Eva didn't know if the Pridelands were friendly...or what. Her heart began to thump fast and loudly. She was sure the entire area could hear it.
"Oh." She flicked her ears back, a bit frightened now. "I don't...belong here then."
Giving the male a nervous look she crouched behind his body. "You'll...protect me from their leaders, right? I don't want to get hurt."
