Ok, well, Paladin is filling out his papers and will be sending them in at the end of next month. We're really excited and can't wait to find out where and when he'll go. I have a question though. How should I end letters to him? I don't think I should put "Love ..." but what do I put that has meaning but won't distract him or something? sweatdrop Thanks guys.

I also asked my mother about this so here what we both think about this: She says that it depents on it if he wouldn't know that you love him and just write it then it might be ... (because that would be a big suprise) but he already knows that you love him and he loves you a lot too ^__^ you too even are engaged ! it's not wrong to say that you love him ... just write him letters every now and then ^_^ There are so many missionaries writing to their girlfriends at home and get letters from them. I'm sure that even when he's busy he'll make some time to write letters home to his family & friends and ofcourse you ! 3nodding
oh and ... please tell me when you know where he goes to ^.^ (I'd love to hear that)

Well, I write to my convert missionaries and they're still here. I just write sincerely. I'm not sure if I should use the same closing in letters to a guy I met at a dance. (He told me that he was 19, and about to go on his mission, and I promised him that I would write to him. Then he told me at another dance that his papers were in, so he has tell me where he's going.)

Thanks guys. He really wants me to write every week. If he is in a place with e-mail, I would just send it to his parents and have them forward it when they send theirs and vice-versa. I think I will alternate between the quote idea and sincerely.
Thanks again for the help, please feel free to give more ideas if any one has them.

I wouldn't worry about putting love on the end of your letters. Of all the people of the opposite sex who wrote me on my mission, only one didn't end their letters with love insert name here just my $0.02 Always Red

I was thinking about this earlier, I have a couple of friends who just went on missions, and I wasn't sure how to end the letters.

I'd just skip the "sincerly" stuff and write my name and a cute face. Personal preference though. Speck-Cypher is almost set to send his papers in as well!*jumps for joy* The Bishop seems to be having some problems with it(with no explanations) but the stake president doesn't have an impression either way. So we're still sending in the papers soon. He's really changed as of late Has Paladin changed much?

Thanks for the ideas guys. We were listening to a CD by John Bytheway on being a missionary and it was talking about relationships. He said that it depends on whether the person back home is helping or hindering the work they do so I guess I will try both with love and with either with sincerely or nothing for a while and see which is best.
On another note, Paladin is doing great and there is a bit of change I guess. I can't quite describe it though. Its cool though. He got the Melchezidek (i have no clue if I spelled that right) Priesthood yesterday! It was really cool and spiritual. His mom and I started crying sweatdrop But it was really sweet and a great experience to be there. And a little tid-bit, he's had it about only 7 hours before he gave a blessing blaugh (and he informed me he was so nervous!) But its nice to know that he is a worthy Priesthood holder and that I can call on him whenever I may need him.

Another update on Paladin. He is getting an operation. Don't freak out, its not major just an ingrown toenail that can't be fixed other wise. He's down about it as he won't be able to walk for 6 days after but its alright.
