(somehow I completely forgot to save his colt tag >_<) Vatsa clipped along, his tail flicking at an annoying fly every now and then, the dreamcatcher in his mane swinging in a jaunty fashion. Vatsa wasn't meant to be this far away from his mother and father, Sohalia would have words when he got back. But he never got why his mother was so cautious, so closed off from everything and everyone except his father, Vohamanah.
She didn't trust anyone, but Vatsa wanted to know everyone. There were more out there than his brother and sister, and he wanted to meet them. Even though they might look different to him, well that was part of the adventure wasn't it?!
He hummed tunelessly, not really minding where he was going, only noticing that the going was getting harder. He seemed to be going up some steep hill or other, and puffing finally crested it.
'Wooo! Lookit that.'
The large body of water that was the Lake shimmered in the distance below him. There had to be someone there he could meet right? He kicked off, running hard, spindly legs flying underneath him and was soon cantering to a halt, falling a heap on the bank of the Lake.

 ((That's ok. :] No big to me. xD)) Taja walked down the hill from where she had seemed to be since well forever. Her hooves lightly patted on the ground as she got towards the Lake. Taja came to a hault as she saw something off in the distance that looked rather out of place from the rest of the scenery. Taja thought for a moment of what it could be, but due to the distance it wasn't easy. She walked alittle closer and saw that it was purple colt with extravigant markings all over his body. "Hello." she said in a soft voice to make sure she didn't scare him, but she assumed that she wouldn't.

Vatsa had been rolling on his back when the mare approached, and all he'd seen was this upside down someone approaching. He wiggled like a stuck beetle for a moment, and then righted, shaking grass stalks from his mane, and looking up at the mare.
'Hiya!' he said, kneeling on his front legs and then pushing himself upright. His blue eyes raked over the older Soquili, looking at her in a frank, appraising way that the young sometimes had. She had a strange colour to her he thought, it wasn't unappealing though, it was like..dark clay or something.
He put on his best smile.
'You live 'round here? Should I not be here?' he asked, giving his horn a quick rub on the side of a leg so that it shone properly.

Taja smiled at the little colt. "No I'm just passing though and saw you and wasn't quite sure what you were." she said with a sligh laugh. This colts colors seemed to mash together wonderfully exspcially his blue eyes and black mane. Taja bowed the best that she could in the mud and then looked at him scanning over him once again. "I'm Taja. It's a pleasure to meet you.... Ummm.... What's your name?" she asked curiously with a slight laugh. "Might I ask what you are doing rolling around in the mud?" she asked with a smile.

'It's not muddy..is it?' Vatsa tried to turn around, to see if he'd gotten muck all along his back. He concentrated; couldn't feel anything sliding or slippery though so he guessed not.
'I had..an itch..'
That was it, well that was his story at any rate. Sometimes he just loved a good roll on the ground.
'Hi Taja, I am Vatsa. What d'you mean, what I was? I'm what you are aren't I?' he looked puzzled. What did he look like then?

Taja couldn't help but utter a slight laugh. "Hello Vatsa. And from far off I couldn't tell that you were a Soquili." she said with a nod. "I think my eyes are just a bit tired today." Taja said happily. "An itch?" she said raising a eyebrow. "Ok...." she said as she stretched out alittle. "Are you here alone?" she asked curiously as her head tilted to the side.

'Oh,' Vatsa replied. What had he looked like from far off then? He wasn't too curious though, and so the question went unsaid. Maybe there was just something wrong with this mare's eyes.
'Yes..an itch.' Vatsa poked his tongue out in a cheeky manner, and then tucked it away again to answer her question.
'I'm here alone yup,' he nodded.
'But not like I'm alone in like the whoooole world, I have parents, they just don't know that I'm this far away.' he grinned.

Taja slightly laughed at him sticking out his tounge and then his reply. She remembered when she was a foal and she tended to venture off probably more than she should have. "I remember the adventureness of a foal." she said as she stuck her tounge back out at him in a playful way and then pulled it back in. "It's nice to get away isn't it." she said with a smile.

It really was, especially when your mother was so mistrustful of everyone bar his father that she hardly left their home, let alone met anyone new these days. Vatsa nodded;
'Yeah, I like adventuring,' he said, puffing up so that he thought he looked bold and heroic. He deflated again because it was hard holding himself that way!
'Are you doing anything then, or you just adventuring?' he asked, curious. Didn't mares travel around all together? Maybe she didn't have anyone.

Taja smiled. "I'm just adventureing into the unknown." she said with a wink. "I like to get away and have fun.... Of course then again I don't have anyone exactly waiting for me." Taja said as she tried to think of her relationship. "It's a very odd arrangement." she said smiling once more.

Vatsa got the whole 'unknown adventure thing', but then, he was only young, and didn't understand all the dangers out there that could possibly hurt such a young Soquili. He didn't know of Kalona's or Skinwalkers yet.
'Huh?' he wrinkled his nose. What was she going on about now? Relationships and the like simply sailed over his head, so any talk in that respect would just go in one ear and out the other.
'What you wanna do then?' he asked, staring up at her. After all, she was old, and must have more knowledge about fun place to go then he did.
