I'm just wondering how many people know who Sade is? sweatdrop Because it's looking like not many do. It's a shame too. But plenty know other oldder singer's sooner. *sighs* Maybe R&B/Jazz isn't cool by people's standards anymore.

But you've heard of her. whee That's all I care about. Kid's seem to narrow their range of music these days. When I was tiny I'd listen to anything once.

I know of and love Sade.(i used to have a CD of hers, but was broken before i ever got to listen to it.) in any case, im pretty musically well read. ...although, i have no earthly idea what Skaa actually is,just that its a type of music.::shrugs::

I'm sorry, never heard of who your talking about. Though I listen to Showtunes, Classical, and Opera all the time. My friends make fun of me all the time for that's the only c.d's I own. sweatdrop My Mom thinks I'm nuts when she walks into my bed room and I'm on my bed studying while the opera is going off from my speakers.

I've heard of Sade, though only in passing on a game show a long time ago (the host totally pronounced her name wrong). Does that count? sweatdrop I've heard some of her music way back when, and it was good, but I didn't fall in love with it. I like to listen to lots of different music, too.
Isn't skaa like big band music (mostly brasses) yet slightly more contemporary? I've heard some songs from Tokyo Skaa Paradise (and other skaa groups/songs), and I reallly liked them; it's hard to describe the music, though.
And Shampoo, I love modern operas, classical music, and showtunes, too. So no fears - you are not alone. Whenever I'm in a large, empty room, I have to bust out with something from Les Mis or Phatom. blaugh I pity the people who walk in to my attempts at singing.

I know who she is, not really my thing, but I've heard her a couple times. I'm depressed when no one I know will listen to swing. I'm not into all the hard rock and what-not, I LIKE happy old music. Showtunes are great. Bleh, maybe I'm weird because I don't want to depress myself with screaming rockers and loud guitars. .:sharpie:.

I know her. But that's not my style of music, personally. I'm a hard rock chick.

I've never heard of her..... whee But I don't normally listen to a lot of R&B/Jazz I mainly listen to Rock&Roll ( Classic and Current ), Alternative, and some Emo, a few other genres of rock.... Sorry.... I don't feel I limit myself musically... I listen to other types of music.... I just listen to the rock more... whee But that is kind of limitting myself musically.... nevermind then! Carry on!
