I'm really insecure about the appearance of my (insert here). Oh and I am a guy, but its hard to tell people I know this. I'm pretty sure that I have PPP, but I have three white pimples on my frenum (sp?) and I don't think it is herpes because 1. I have never had sex and 2. There isn't an outbreak or a spread of them. I just want to completely be secure and know that this is not herpes. I can't go to a doctor and I can't tell my parents because they will think I had sex. Can someone give me some sort of information that PPP can cause white pimples also? I know it causes flesh colored pimples, which I have, but I have 3 white ones too.

Pearly penile papules can be flesh colored or a whitish color. They generally appear in a row, like a string of pearls. They're nothing to be worried about as they're pretty common. If you want, you can go see a doctor to ease your mind or if you really don't like them, to get them removed. Never try to remove them yourself or pop them though.

There are ones in a row but there are 2 on the right side of my frenum and 1 on the left. There are no other ones on my frenum. Just those three. Also aren't herpes not visible sometimes. Mine are always visible. I'm not available to visit the doctor because I don't have insurance and I can't tell my parents about this.

Herpes creates blister-like sores and they'll pop taking 2-4 weeks roughly to heal. PPP don't really pop like that at all, they're just sort of there. If you'd like more info, PM Nikolita or LorienLlewellyn 'cause they'll have way more info than I would.

People usually get STDs from vaginal or a**l sex, although it is possible to get STDs from oral sex or from rubbing your genitals on someone else's without any clothes on. If you have never had sex, oral sex, rubbing, or other sexual contact, then you probably don't have to worry about STDs right now.

It does sound like you probably just have pearly penile papules, which are very common, harmless, not contagious, and don't require treatment.

But if you're feeling uneasy about it, visit a doctor. You don't need insurance or your parent's consent. Just like Planned Parenthood and Family Planning will see women for free or low cost to deal with female issues, there are similar clinics for males. If you're a young student, you probably wouldn't have to pay anything to get looked at. So all you would need to do is find the clinic and get a ride there. You can visit www.plannedparenthood.org to search for a clinic near you. Call them up and ask them if they see men at that location or if they can refer you to a place that does see men.
