 The air had been different around the mountains lately. They had become less welcoming, Barron, cold. It was weird and only feed his urge to leave the area. So as the sun set back behind the mountain range Mango took one last look at the HQ before setting off alone.
He was eager to leave by now. So much that there was no second thought on this decision. His father had already gone somewhere, his mother as well. The rest of his siblings have not been seen in a long time either, so what was there left here? A bad feeling? Nothing worth staying.
His tails swayed as he faced forward again. Ears perked forward and ready for what lay ahead.

 Large paws slother against the dirt ground, leaving sure and deep marks wherever he went. And any tree stumps to cross his path? He had all the time in the day, and decided to use it for useful gain. Trunks were turned to toothpicks as he sharpened his maw and horns. It was indeed just another day in the Nightmare's life.
Flicking spines and whisping his tongue, Dardanos paused in his aimless wandering. Hm...a new scent in the air? What could this be....

All focus had only lasted ten minutes before Mango had gotten bored. His head thumped up and down, side to side, as an odd tune played over and over in his head.
Every now and than he'd make some weird noise in tune with the music. At least in his mind it was in tune...
"hubba hubba ZUUT ZUTT! A nom nom!"
He lightly bit his bottom lip after every outburst than grunt. He was oblivious to the other that the other was even coming up along his path.

What. The. Hell.
Ears pinned against his neck, and Dardanos for once found himself growling. His nerves were always sedate, never bothered by anyone near him before. But this? What was this atrocious noise? Piveting his body around, Dardanos made a beeline to the nuisance. Sight would be useful right now. And judging that he was along the path of the other, Dardanos waited. The noise was coming closer, and the male was curious to examine whatever pest came along.

"A hubba hubba, a nom nom!" He side stepped back and fourth, drawing closer to the agrivated beast. Oblivious as ever he gradually begun to veer off his course and- *CONCK* His head found it's way onto a nice solid boulder.
"F- F- F-" He rubbed his head. A little bit of blood dribbled from his left nostril as he rubbed his head. "AW BLOODY HELL!"

A hollow thud echoed across Dardanos' paws, his nerves telling him the close location of the other. Of course, who needed that when the other being was so loud? Letting his spined tickle across his back, the adult sauntered over some more to finally make contact with this individual.
"I could ssssay the sssame. What a horrible tune being ssung." He snorted, smelling something faint and salty. Perhaps it was his decaying snack of a worm?

"Well-" Mango wiped his nose with his front paw and looked down at it. "-your lucky that rock jumped in my way than." He laughed, unaware that the kitsu on the other side of the rock was a nightmare. Personally he figured the hissing was a speech impediment.

What fool could this individual be? It must be a squirrel, or a bug to speak so foolishly. Snapping his beak as habit, Dardanos sniffed at the rock before him. He made his way to the top of the small boulder, beform looming overhead and casting a shadow on the yellow kitsu. "Luck? Luck hass nothing to do with anything." A grateful thought was made now to him being blind, so as not to experience the full stupidity of the normal kitsu kind.

"No, it doesn't, but it's a fun word to throw around-" As soon as the nightmare's shadow fell over him his fist thought was rain, but as he looked up to see the "cloud" that thought vanished.
"-Hell-ooo there." That was spoken in a tone just above a quiet whisper. He was surprised, to say the least. There was a little bit of fear there too, but only because he had never seen one before and the sewn shut eyes were a tad freaky.

"Tsk. Whatever floatsss your boat." Dardanos shuffled to the side, his large frame and heavy body making slow on turning. If this other individual was content just blabbering to himself, Dar would option to leave. No need for his long ears to fall off in boredom. But he did wonder just what this other being was. A kitsu? Perhaps a bite would determine that....
Tails wisped at his ankles to the male's comment. Was he even talking to the nightmare, or just himself again?
