At last the sun has relinquished its grip upon the earth's flesh, the soft light of mother moon cloaking the sky with her silvery kiss. In the distance the sound of a wolf's baleful cry pierce the heart of night soon to be answered by another. Above the canopy of trees a pair of owls launch into the star speckled atmosphere, soaring and tumbling with each in play...They are Carpathians...an ancient race of immortal beings whom have existed upon this plane since the dawning of time. It is a majestic race who struggles to survive even as they pledge their lives to protect all kind from the clutches of darkness and evil. For centuries they have stood in the shadows with watchful eye, ridding this place of evil taint, the last bastion to stand between utter destruction of life, a thriving world of peace...
