 Susan sighed as he walked out of his new home with Tsu and the rest of his family. It was great having people around that cared for him but often he found it a little too much to bear at times. He just wasn't used to having so many people being so nice to him all the time. Out of hearing distance from the others he sat down and stared up at the sky. "Maybe they were right..." he mused to no one in particular. "Maybe I am odd."

 Hedda was awake, and yet not. In her travels she had allowed it to get late and so she had spend the night sleeping under a bush. Sleeping under a bush was normal for her, however what she didn’t know was they she as chosen a resting spot so near to Tsu’s den. She had woken and wanted to allow herself to drift off, but stopped when she heard paw steps nearing her. Keeping still she knew that she could blend in well here and if the other hadn’t already seen her they likely wouldn’t at all.
She did however open her eyes to look and see the other. She was shocked to see the male Ulaya that had taken a seat near by. The bright rainbow like colors really stood out on his pelt. She watched him a while, her ears perking up and twitching a little as he spoke. She wondered what he meant by his words though she didn’t really care. Watching him she didn’t think he’d been and harm to her and so she chose to move. Stretching slightly as she got up the bush rustled around her , leaved falling into her back and catching in her wings. Hedda yawned before moving out from under the foliage, glancing at the male as she did. She didn’t think he would attack her but she was always cautious, one could never trust a male.

Susan jumped at the sound of leaves rustling, and he was immensely glad that he had black fur, otherwise someone might have been able to see the blush that would follow. He turned to look at the nearby bush that seemed to have been causing the disturbance, then he heard it yawn... "wait.. what? bushes don't yawn??" Susan was almost tempted to go forwards and try to figur out what exactly was causing the bush to... shake... and yawn, figuring it to be one of Tsu's children. 'Probably Ren.' He thought. until a female Ulaya emerging from it, with a multicolored pelt, she almost reminded him of a boulder in a stream that had begun to collect moss, suprisingly enough, he thought she looked cute, almost normal... then he saw the wings, which took poor Susan totally by surprise, and if her weren't so concerned with what people thought of him, he might just have yelped and fallen back, but instead, he just watched her. When she finally looked at him, he tried to smile, but felt that it made him look like an idiot, so instead, he opted for conversation, he'd always thought he was a good conversationalist. "um... Hi. " 'DAMN!'

Hedda was about to turn away from the male and wonder off towards home when he spoke. Letting out a silent sigh her eyes narrowed a little as she looked at the male. ‘ I should have known it wouldn’t be that easy to just slip away. ’ She huffed out a breath and looked up at him again with chilly eyes.
Yes it was probably rude of her to by this hostile with someone she was just meeting but it wasn’t like she care. She hated males, wanted nothing to do with them. Why should she? Males where rude and self centered so why would she want to bother to interact with one. She made a sort of grunting noise before speaking. “ Hi… ”

At first Susan, wasn't sure if she was going to say anything back, she didn't look to happy, but he was pretty sure that her saying hi was a good thing. So, hoping that he might just get a new friend, Susan continued on, hoping to get the young lady to stay for just a bit longer. So he sat down again, and looked up at the sky, trying to find something to say... 'maybe i should ask her name... what if she doesn't want to give it???'. Sighing, Susan decided there was no harm in asking, and turned his face back to her. "it's a nice night out, don't you think?? The stars are really clear out tonight." 'nice job captain obvious...'

Again the grey and green female was about to leave again before the rainbowy male spoke once more. Turning to glare at him once more before looking up at the sky she sigh. “ Ya… nice night. All clear and shinny. ” Her eyes shifted to look back at him again and she noted the sparkles that covered his coat. She thought it actually resembled the night sky itself. It interested her a little but she didn’t show so and sure as hell wouldn’t say it.

Susan picked up ont the hostility in her voice, he wondered if he should ask what her name was, he wondered if she would even tell him if she did... 'what the hell, might as wel try.'. He turned once again, looking at her slightly, he wondered how her coloring would look in the light. he quickly shook that thought from his head, make friends with her now, worry about tomorrow later. "So um... what's your name?" 'real smooth...'

The grey and green female scoffed as she turned away to look up at the sky. Like a male would really care to learn a females name. A females name had no importance in the relm of what a male wanted from her. And yet she sighed lightly. If it wasn't important then why should she bother to refuse him her name. " Hedda. " He tone was short and flat, and she kept her eyes on the sky now instead of looking at him.

Susan's eyebrows knitted together slightly as her name played over in his mind. He looked up to the sky once more and smiled lightly. "Hedda..." he repeated as if testing it out on his tongue. "that's a very lovely name... what's it mean?" He asks nonchalantly, trying to seem freindly.

She huffed out a breath, loud enough for him to hear, glacing at him out of hte corner of her eye before looking up again. What game was he playing at? Trying to get her to let her guard down of course, but for what reason. " Does it really matter. " Her voice was sharp as she spoke to him now as if the question had angered her. It hadn't really angered her, though she realized she hadn't an answer to the question he had asked and that did bother her.

Susan lowered his head slightly. He could feel that she was slightly angry at him... but he couldnt figure out why... Maybe he should try and make her laugh.... but all of the jokes he could think of weren't really funny and he wondered on why he had even thought of them in the first place. Quickly giving himself a mental shake he looked up from ground and looked at Hedda. He smiled slightly, and decided that the only really funny thing he could think of... or the only thing he DIDN'T think was funny.
"well you know... It's better than my name... hell, my names Susan."
'LAUGH! LAUGH! Please god LAUGH!'

Hedda's eyes turned to the male the moment he spoke his name, an eye brow slightly raised. Why kind of name was this for a male she wondered. Surely he was teasing her in some way though she wasn't sure as to why? " Thats really not funny. " She spoke flatly, honestly believe that he was trying to make fun of her somehow. What type of male had the name of Susan after all?

Susan lowered his head and let out a loud breath of air. " Tell me about it, lets just say, my father was a sick man with a mean sense of humor." He looked up at her with a sort of wry smile on his face when suddenly he realised she hadn't been saying that wasn't a funny name, but that she had thought he had been lying((sp?)) to her. and his face fell. "but i wasn't kidding!" he let out in a rush trying to reassure her, "That really is my name!!!" Susan started to flaila about in his mind, but on the outside he just looked extremely nervous. He really did hope that she beleived him.

She looked at him, blinking once and then again as she stared. Was he really telling the truth? She was never sure about these males. But… he seemed sincere, and nervous. Neither trait she normally though of as a male one. Looking up at the stars once more she thought it over a moment and for the first time in a long time she decided to believe a male, the first time she could remember doing so. “ That is a terrible name for a male, did your mother not protest this naming? ”
