 The platinum colored hair warrior lightly paced himself toward the HQ. His sword bounced against his thigh as he walked. Every so often the sheath would drag against the ground, creating a small grinding sound.
His lightly colored hair shimmered in the sunlight high above the sky. The warmth was a welcoming change in comparison to the cool nights. With a soft smile upon his maw, he stepped into the HQ, eyes peering for any familiar faces.

 "I guess I should be glad." Hiroyuki grumbled to herself, while padding towards the HQ. She had gone out of the house, all alone, and out of sheer boredom, had started talking to herself. If only Harumi was with her...but no, her sister was asleep. Rather than to wake her sister up, she had left the house in search of adventure, and mythical creatures as always.
But lately, Hiroyuki hadn't seen Verix, her cousin and nemesis of sorts. It made her wonder what the other was up to. "Making more mischief no doubt." She mumbled. She had thought of apparating off to Ayako's house to ask, but was afraid she might worry her aunt. "What if she doesn't know?" She asked aloud.
"Still, it's a good thing to not have her trying to destroy the house."

His long ears perked up behind him as he heard approaching footsteps. Following suit, he turned his head to face the approaching stranger. The stranger was still rather far away for him to properly make out who it was exactly. At the least, though, he could see the white hair and shiney gold and blue vest.
It might have been better to meet that Kitsu outside instead, so he got up onto his feet and made his way toward the stranger.

The witch was too engrossed in her thoughts, and talking to herself, that she didn't notice someone approaching her. "But of course, she might be hiding. Waiting. Planning. You'll never know. Argh, I hate how she drives me mad!" She yelled out, instinctively reaching for the wand tucked behind the ear.
It was then she saw the male walking towards her. A horrified and embarrassed blush crossed her face; god, she must have looked SO stupid. "Uh...hi!" She chirped, lifting a paw to wave at him, trying to pretend that nothing had happened.

Sigurd didn't think much of her sudden and rather random outburst. It would be rude to intrude upon her thoughts without permission. Whatever her outburst was about, if she was up to sharing it he would gladly listen. But unless she wanted to, he would not ask her to share it.
He dipped his chin down slightly in the form of a bow before answering her call, "Greetings." From the wand she held in her hand she must've been a witch or magic-user of some sort. He had seen another like her not too long ago. Pehaps she would be just as friendly.

She had relaxed when he didn't seem to acknowledge her outburst of stupidity, or challenged it with a snarky comment. Whew...
Still, she didn't allow herself to relax completely. He had a weapon! Just like Verix! Who knew if he was on the same side as that...that...barbarian! He seemed to be quite gentlemanly though, Hiroyuki observed. Though he didn't seem to know how to make conversation.
Determined to make up for her folly, she decided to start talking. It wasn't hard for her to, Hiroyuki usually liked to blab on, and on, and on. Some of her siblings found it annoying, some of them had gotten used to it.
"You have a weapon eh? Some of my family uses them too, but not much really. We're mostly quite magical, in a sense. I mean, grandaddy is a wizard and all, and these genes get passed on and on, and grandma isn't well...what you consider a witch, but she does have magical powers...Oh, I wonder if what really constitutes a witch or a wizard is a wand? I guess so...Axis is a Squib, but she can use healing..." She trailed off, realizing she was going off topic, then hopped behind him to stare at the accessories on his hind legs. "Are those feathers?" She asked, in a rather incredulous tone. "Strange! Can you fly with them? Aunt Ayako has small wings, but oh, she hardly flies..."

Sigurd wasn't a very talkative Kitsu. He didn't knew how to really keep a conversation--not a casual one at least. At the least, he was polite if that counted for anything.
He was glad she was so talkative since he wouldn't know how to really strike up a conversation with her. She seemed nice enough. "I do not usually use my sword. Or at least, I try my best not to. The most I really use it for is practice with my mother who taught me the way of the sword." Glancing back at his anklets, he chuckled softly, "No, I cannot fly with them. They are just accessories given to me."

"That's good to know. I know some people who use those for violence." Those of which were her family members, but she decided not to mention it. "It's not really like magic is it? I mean, we try not to use it for violence, but it can be used for other stuff as well. Makes things very convenient, but sometimes it seems like we're lazy when we use it for every itty bitty thing." She had been cutting down on using magic, except when she was practicing it. And she didn't even Apparate today!
"Well, they're feathery." She reached out a paw to poke at them, then retracted it, looking sheepish. "Sorry, it just looks interesting. I've never really seen stuff like that before. I mean, I've seen some unusual stuff, but I've never seen, heard or read of that." And she read a lot. Especially fantasy books.

In all the time he has been in existence, he had never really seen much magic. There was TV, books and such he had seen magic in, but never really experienced it first hand. Perhaps the closest to it was the magic of friendship, but even then it was fairly limited with his poor social life. It was partly his fault, but he tried not to dwell on that too much. "I would imagine it would prove useful at times, though?" Magic seemed pretty impressive with all the wonders it could do.
Shaking his head with a soft smile, he answered, "No, I do not mind. You may touch it if you wish. It resembles the feathers on my mother's helmet. I would imagine that is where the feathers came from," he chuckled softly.

"Of course!" She gave him a bright smile. "It's oh so fun to learn! It takes ouchies of time to learn sometimes, and you have to really practice, but it turns out to be very much worth it in the end." She paused. Well, actually it didn't take so long for her. She learned the spells prety easily. But she had worked hard, she had! "I guess the same goes for everything you do? If you put enough hard work and diligence, and never give up, you'll reap the efforts." It was true, she believed. Except for some minor cases, like her cousin Axis who tried to learn magic, but she was unfortunately a Squib.
Having given the green light, Hiroyuki poked one with an impish grin. "That's interesting. I've always seen feathers as wings. Two of my siblings suddenly sprouted them when we grew! I can't imagine how troublesome that would be." She wrinkled her nose in disgust. Boujima was still trying to cope with not getting his wings dirty. A hard job for a neat freak like him.

Her words were fairly true to an extent. It may seem unlikely for him, but he was not always gifted with his sword. Practicing always helped, but even now he wasn't up to what he expected to be a "master swordsman". His efforts did bear fruit, and much effort it was indeed. "It does take a while to learn some of the things one may wish to learn. As you said--the efforts are worthwhile in the end."
Between his siblings, only his older brother had wings. His mother, of course, also had wings. She's had them all her life, though. He could only wonder if it was painful for his brother to start growing wings so abruptly in his life. "I imagine it would be painful, as well. Suddenly having a whole new set of joints growing out of your back...It must be hard." That was just his guess, though. He never experienced anything like it first hand. He wouldn't know anything of it.

She bobbed her head along to his agreement, grinning. Someone was listening to her! Actually listening! Her siblings did, but only sometimes. Only when she was teaching them magic. She constantly babbled, and she was quite sure they turned a deaf ear to her prattling.
She winced, wrinkling her nose in disgust. "Yeah. I'm not sure, otouto never complained about it. He was only concerned with dealing with it and to not get them dirty. Neat and clean freak, he is." But she did love her little brother.

Sigurd was always an avid listener. He was never very good at keeping conversations, so he might as well make use of his long ears for something he was more talented at. Though they were just casual topics, he found them interesting nonetheless. It was nice for her to be so open with him since they've just met.
"Getting them dirty would hinder the effectiveness of their flight, I would think." His mother put about the same amount of effort into cleaning her armor and sword as she did into her wings. If they were too dirty it would be extra baggage to fly with, he thought.

She nodded. "I don't think otuoto really knows how to fly though. I mean...it's not like he can ask otou-sama and okaa-sama to teach him. They don't have wings! Only obaasan and a few ojisans and obasans." Hiroyuki had learned to call her relatives by Japanese thanks to her father. It hadn't exactly crossed her mind that the other might be confused over it.
"It's more of a habit of his. He never likes to get dirty and he HARDLY ever goes out because of that." She wrinkled her nose in disgust. "I like reading and all, but being cooped up all the time is just boring~"

Surprisingly, he could keep up with all the Japanese terms she kept throwing out. He read up quite a bit on all types of cultures. Even when it came to their cultural terms to address family members or friends, he was familiar with most of them. Or at least had a good enough guess as to who those terms applied to.
He couldn't help but chuckle at her insights of her brother, "I imagine using his wings would only add onto more maintenence. At the least he is doing something productive such as reading. He could be doing nothing but staring out the window like a depressed widow instead."
