Masozi'ambala dashed into a large dust cloud left over by the stampede of buffalo she had woken up. Running around blindly she was forced to eat dirt from falling over a large furry body. She panicked as she looked back moving over she began to sniff the body tell she was certain it was Akiiki. Letting out a small whimper he moved closer nuzzling the limp body.
"Akiiki...Oh Akiiki." she said softly as she began to sniff out his wounds as she crawled over and began to clean them. The little female stayed beside the other side after pulling him over into a small little enclosure made of rocks. Never did she leave his side for several days hoping he would wake.
Finally after a several day no food water or sleep her body began to claim the things it needed. While tending to the males wound she happened to simple fall into him snuggling up in a passed out state. She was so tired from being a good nurse and making sure his wounds where clean so they would heal. Though she was no true healer and most would probably leave a scar.

It felt as though there was lead bled into his veins rather than blood. Even his eyelids didn't feel like opening, rather he felt like allowing them to stay closed forever.
But instead... like he always did... Akiiki cracked his eyes open slowly and winced at the bright sunlight that was filtering about in the clouds of the mid-day afternoon.
It was afternoon... that meant that he'd been out for a few hours. A few hours at LEAST. There was no telling if it was more than that but he couldn't dwell on that now. Instead, Aki turned and licked at a very sore spot on his side... only to find a very large hoofprint there.
That would leave a scar.
His mind reeled and he almost dropped his head down. He was going to have more scars, why was he not suprised?
Aki licked his mouth slightly and felt how swelled his tongue was. It hadn't been a few hours. It had been more like a day.... or more. How long had he been out?
Turning his head in a desperate attempt to find something around him, Aki saw the familiar body of the lioness he'd saved just before losing consciousness. She was cuddled up to his side in a way that would have made him turn into a tomato from embarassment if the simple act of blushing didn't make his head roll and his body want to heave. He'd lost a lot of blood then. That wasn't a suprise either.

The female woke feeling the other wiggle about. Since her body was in alert mode she woke only to snap awake in a motion bumping her head with his. The little female cursed out whimpering as she moved to hold her head. She then looked to the male as she let another whimper.
"Your awake...well maybe." She said softly still rubbing her head. She then stood as she licked his nearest wound a little then slammer her foot on his shoulder making him lose his balance and fall. She then nuzzeled his head and whispered into his ear.
"You get up and I'll let the demon inside me do what she wants with you." She whispered as she stumbled out to get them some food. a hour passed and she returned with a good sized Zebra. She brought it to their little enclosure then began to strip off pieces of meat and moved it over the the male.
"Eat...You need all the strength you can get. Later when can try and take you to get some water." She said as she began to eat some herself.

Being abruptly rammed back down to the ground wasn't one of the things that Aki could say he'd needed at that moment, but he wasn't going to argue with the lioness who seemed rather intent on doing things her way.
Who was he to argue when he was like this?
No, simply he laid his head down on his paws and closed his eyes, waiting silently for her return in the hopes that she would be okay. He didn't sleep, he didn't nap, he didn't rest. His body throbbed and felt broken though he knew that it wasn't broken. It was just split and bloodied. It was just in pain.. in a LOT of pain.
In the hour that passed Aki had time to think about things in his life.. had time to think about what he remembered Maso getting upset about and nearly getting them both killed for. She had feelings for him. That much at least was obvious in the way she'd exploded. In the things she said to him and how she'd been cuddled up against him when he'd woken from his sleep.
There was a lioness on the savannah that had feelings for HIM. A male that shouldn't deserve anyone or anything.
A sigh escaped his muzzle and Aki lifted his head just in time to see her bring a hunk of zebra in front of him. He needed water more than he needed food. Needed to get something into him to stop the swelling of his tongue, but he didn't argue, rather he started eating slowly so he didn't choke on his own tongue as the meat slid down his sore and raw throat.
He had to think... he had to re-arrange his feelings before he could talk to Maso again... until then... He ate in silence.

The female didn't mind as she ate all she could before moving to the other nudging him to stand.
"Come on water not that far off." She said purring softly as she helped him move slowly to the place where they had meet. A place they had first began to bond. A place they sheared their first encounter of the demon inside maso. The female let him rest at the bank as she moved into the water leaning down to drink a few gulps. she was rather worried about the other but tried to keep her fears silent as she looked back to him.
She then looked to the water seeing her reflection. She was silent as she thought about her demon and then of Akiiki. She then began to smirk.
"You know akiiki you can't die cause if you do then so does your demon...I don't think he wants that now does he." She said trying to will the other to survive she didn't seemed to think that she was putting gasoline onto a flame and tempting a demon to come out and make its self survive.

It seemed as though he hadn't even stood up at all, rather Akiiki's mind just floated through the entire limping walk there and through most of the time there. Maso's words didn't seem to make sense to him at first, coming through the filter of his exhausted mind that didn't seem to want to register what her words were.
"He doesn't want it but I seem to come very close to it." He said at last, his voice rough and cracked rather than the normal musical noise it was.
Akiiki had never heard his voice make that noise before. He was truely broken. The moment he stopped talking the lion peered down into the water and looked at himself. His fur was dull and his eyes were clouded so badly that he barely saw himself. The voice that had once rang over the savannah and made even the birds and snakes below smile... it was gone.
Hopefully not for good but he knew that he was falling apart if not already broken. What had he done?
"I don't know what more he can take from a broken lion though... I can't sing, I can't hunt well, I can't hardly walk. What else does he want from me other than death? It's not as if anyone will mourn my passing for more than a half a second's breath. I've brought nothing but trouble where my feet have taken me... caused nothing but annoyance and discomfort."
Sadness seeped into Akiiki's voice slowly and he laid his head down without drinking.

The small female eyes looked to him she felt small shards of ice being prised threw with he word. She finally winced moving over to him boldly leaning against him but not to much to make him fall.
"I would mourn you." He said softly before moved her paw to rest on his. "I would cry thousand tears and then some." She said not looking to the male as she blushed.
"You have capture my essence Akiiki...I don't know how but when I am with you...Oni'awiti is more calm then anywhere else. Sure she's loud and annoying but she does not come out that much." She said as she leaned into him more starting to purr softly.
"Akiiki...please don't die yet. I want to know what exactly it is that i feel for you. I want to know if its just infatuation because we are so much alike yet different...or if-" She cut herself off growing rather quite before taking a deep breath.
"Or if...there is something more growing inside me making me think there is actually someone out there for me to be with."

A silver colored eye peered out at Maso from beneath the long strands of violet mane that fell before the eyes. She would mourn him? She barely even knew him to mourn him the way someone would normally mourn. Maso could claim that she would mourn him, however she would forget him when another male walked across the savannah with their chest puffed out and brimming with assuredness and happiness. Self aware.
Self awarness was something that Akiiki lacked in hordes.
"Of all the lions out there on the savannah... why would you pick me when you know i suffer from the same thing? When you can see with your own two eyes that I'm damaged as I am and not really a true lion any longer? I wouldn't bring you happiness if you fell in love with me for my heart is nothing but a block of ice to keep others at bay so that Okoth can't destroy anyone else." Aki croaked, sitting up enough to look at her. "You claim that you would mourn me.... but your heart would heal within hours like anyone's would. I don't deny that I've left no mark on this earth other than a dark one, but you cannot claim you would feel anything lengthy with my passing other than a mild sadness at a current walking companion lost."
Slowly he laid his head back down and flushed when his mane settled over his cheeks enough to hide it. He felt like ten kinds of an idiot for saying that to a lioness that had potential feelings for him but...
He didn't deserve a lioness as pretty as Maso was. She would be wasted on him, she would grow weary of him within days.

She said nothing as she looked at her paw resting in the bank sand of the small water whole. She took a deep breath before moving and biting down on his ear really hard. She made her stand and didn't let up beginning to speak with her grasp held tightly.
"Ehh! You know I should rip you to pieces for pissing me off!" She yelled out but not to loud to damage his ear. She then growled moving her paw to force him to stay down on the ground beginning to lash out at him with her tongue.
"You big idiot Akiiki." He said letting go of his ear finally as she glared down to him.
"The reason I probably like you so much is because you are like me. You know my problems just like I know your maybe not to the extent of the whole truth but I know!" She yelled out louder now being a safe distance from his ear.
"I know that it is hard having another inside yourself I know the pain of feeling alone...Akiiki I have always been alone beside Oni'awaiti!" She yelled out as her pain began to seep into ever word she said.
"My mother left me the day I was born I was raise by my aunt who I never understood or understood me. I have always...ALWAYS been alone with the pain of being tormented by my own head until you!" She screamed out now in a small roar.
"Don't you get I can be-" She took a deep breath before looking at him with a strong determination. "I can be the fire with in your body that melts you heart and chases away your demons!" She finished before moving away slightly to start drinking like her hadn't seen water in days. Through that was the truth she seemed to be drinking it hungrily as if somehow in the guzzling of water her pain from his words would disappear.

The pain didn't register on his face, though it hurt him more than physically that she would bite him. Already he was on fragile ground within his own heart and she was bellowing at him about things he didn't understand because his heart was in too much pain.
Normally he was a strong lion... for the most part.
Normally Akiiki would have stood up and walked away silently, allowing the lioness to understand that she'd hurt him. She wouldn't have followed him, none of them ever did.
Normally Akiiki would have done anything in the world other than...
Other than to let tears slide down his white muzzle and a weak sob to pull from deep within his chest.
The silver eyed lion buried his face in his paws and sobbed weakly and almost endlessly. He tried to quiet them down so he didn't bring embarrasment to himself as well as the greif of knowing that there was another being out on the savannah that wished him pain along with love.
Those things had for far too long gone hand in hand with his life and Aki was sick of feeling pain from others that claimed to love him. For a moment in time it seemed as though he were free of that, that he would merely walk until he died and he wouldn't have to deal with that problem anymore, wouldn't be hurt by another person claiming to want to be with him or love him.
His parents, his brother, many of his friends and even a lioness or two... over time they had all wounded his fragile heart and here in front of another lioness who shared the same burden as himself...
Akiiki's fragile heart finally shattered under harsh words and painful actions. He'd admitted to himself that he liked Maso and she'd hurt him like everyone else. Just like everyone else.
Tears leaked from between his toes as his sobs seemed to get harder, his dehydrated and emaciated body too weak to sustain the amount of pain his heart was forcing on it.

Blood stained ears flickered hearing a rather odd sound coming from the male that laid beside her it wasn't tell she looked over did her whole body give a shudder. There was the male crushed in more manor then one way. The mostly female female slowly moved over before laying down beside the other as she began to cry as well. She snuggled into him whimpering softly.
"I'm sorry. I was to harsh." She said as she gave him a few nuzzles. "Akiiki please...please don't hate me I don't want you hating me I just needed you to know how I felt...and now...now I feel terrible." She said as she began to sob her whole body shake she had cried since a ong age. This tears where different ones from the wounds she succumb to while with Oni'awiti. This tears where the ones she shed for loosing her mother. For wanting so badly to be loved when only she was misunderstood and shunned.
"Akiiki...I'm sorry...please please forgive me." She said moving over to lick his tears away before moving to lick the ear she had bitten. Whimpering some more maso curled around the other trying to be there for him like she always wanted someone there for her.

Shaking his head in his paws so his nose ran back and forth across his calloused paws, Aki cried harder and tried to keep his sides from heaving as it hurt more than he would have bargained for. Blood seeped out of the still healing scars and down his snowy sides with each heave of breath he took.
"I wanted to keep them all safe. I don't want to be near anyone but you... you want to be near me even though the rest of them left. I don't understand you! You can see I'm like you, you know what he'd love to do to you. What if I"m asleep one night and he takes over?! I try to push everyone AWAY! My mother, my father, my brother. Any female I've ever met I try to get away from me even if I like them, even if it hurts my heart to be alone." Akiiki admitted at last, never removing his paws from over his face as he shook and tried his best to explain himself. "Every night... every time I fall asleep... I see visions of things in the past and things in the future. I see horrible things, the only times that ever goes away is when I'm alone... then I just see Okoth's past. Then I just see what he MIGHT do but not what he WILL do!"
Chest heaving at this point, Aki lifted his silver eyes and looked into hers, almost pleadingly. Why wouldn't she understand? Why wouldn't she go away so he wouldn't hurt her. She was pretty, he admitted that. If he stuck around her too much longer, if he let her cling to him like this, he didn't want to get attached to someone that would leave him. He couldn't do that to himself anymore.
"You asked me before if I thought you were pretty... I do. I think you're a very gorgeous lioness... that's why you HAVE to get away from me. He likes females like you, he likes messing with their minds and leaving them pregnant and alone when he's done. Don't you see? It's not that he's vocal, he TAKES OVER. I like you, I do, that's why you have to go. That's WHY I'm meant to be alone... because anyone I like he tries to kill or impregnate and that's not right..."
Akiiki buried his face into his paws once more and lay there shaking, hoping that Maso would take this opportunity to leave him to his dismal life and assured death... though praying even to his own father and every god his father hated that she wouldn't leave him like all the others did. In the state he was in now he really would die at last and he was man enough to admit that was a frightening outlook.

The only curled around his more snuggling her body into his as she began to softly purr as she closed her eyes resting her head against the others. "Akiiki...Since we've been together how many times has he taken over you? Once...thought it was for only but a moment I did not feel scared of threatened...Do you know why?" She said as she purred into his ear trying to comefort him..
"It was because Oni'awaiti would not allow me to back down and cower to him." She said softly smiling as she let out a small giggle. "Akiiki...don't you see...I...I was made this way to be with you.I was made this way to be your other have." She said softly. Before taking a deep breath before moving to lick his cheeks making his tears fade away. Sure they tasted salty and somewhat unpleasant but that didn't stop her. She then moved nudging hhis face till he looked at her.
"Give me one week...If you still want me to leave...then I will leave but only by our bodies...I hope to never leave your heart." she said softly with a small blush coming to her cheeks.

His head kept shaking despite her words of soothing. Akiiki still felt like a monster, still felt as though he could harm her. Still felt as if he would split her open and bleed her even if he didn't wish to.
Okoth was slumbering deep within him, though his laughter still hung in Akiiki's mind, still tormented him. The lion felt his body shiver as he thought of what Okoth would do to this female. He'd already voiced in Aki's head just how pretty he believed her to be. Cubs would be bad right now, cubs would be very bad.
What if he wasn't strong enough to keep Okoth down any longer? If something happened...
"A week..." Aki whispered out weakly and looked at his pawpads in silence for a long moment. "A week, if something happens during that time I'll never forgive myself but at least I'll know that if something happens I was meant to be alone for the rest of my soon to be short life."
The thought of being alone all his life made Aki's heart clench a bit, but he didn't say anything else.

The female snuggled into him a little more before licking his tears away. She then let out a soft giggle leaning into him more. "one week." She replied before curling into him little more.
"You really should drink something Akiiki." Nuzzling him she spoke softly. "Akiiki please we came here so you could." She replied nudging him closer to the water.
"I need to you drink some so that you will get strong again. I need you to be strong...I might need to you save my life once more." She said with a small smiled as she moved to check on his wounds.
They seemed to be doing fine other then needing to be cleaned. "Akiiki Your wounds need to be cleaned soon." She said as she turned back to the water drinking and cleaning her face before to looked to him.
