Another "family" outing. Hurrah.
That was the first thought that ran through her mind, though it honestly wasn't quite true. There was a small carnival going on in Barton, in celebration of the "Rejected Olympics," Rysha assumed. She wasn't sure if Riley and Emmet were around anywhere, but she had decided to take Tryst out. Get some cotton candy, ride the ferris wheel, all that fun stuff.
So the two were wandering around the large grass field outside of Barton, filled with tents and small rides. Tryst was riding on Rysha's back, her tail wrapped gently around the woman's waist, with a stick of pink cotton candy in her hand, being consumed quite readily.
"You doing alright up there, sweet?" Rysha asked, grinning and turning her head to look at the girl.
"Mmhm." Was the only audible sound, as Tryst was quickly discovering the sticky properties of cotton candy mixed with saliva.

Alora herself had heard about the Olympics, when they were watching the news on television. Mereneth had immediately declared his support to Durem. She herself and Yourie preferred to just watch the results announced, neither of them taking a side. It was all supposed to be just fun and games, right? Besides, she didn't want to get into an argument with her brother if she chose to support another team.
After a while though, Yourie thought it might be fun to tease the pyro and said she was supporting Barton, who was currently in second place and constantly vying with Durem for the lead. Trying to make them stop arguing was no use, as usual, and the dove retreated outside.
She landed in the fields, a distance away from the pair. Flying was her main transport nowadays. Besides, it was rather relaxing to feel the wind blow through her hair, and it counted for practice as well. Mr Solon and Ligeia would be proud, she hoped.

Rysha wasn't paying attention to much besides keeping one foot in front of the other without tipping over, due to the extra weight currently on her back. So Tryst was the one of the pair to notice a blonde haired girl flying above the fair, before lightly landing down nearby.
Having finished her cotton candy, she started tugging on a lock of Rysha's hair. "Mamma, a girl just fell from the sky." She said, though she knew the girl could fly. That's just what she termed flying; falling from the sky.
Rysha's brow furrowed when she heard Tryst's statement. "Fell? From the sky?" The first thing she thought of was a flyer, some random winged person which wasn't entirely uncommon. Rysha wasn't sure what had made Tryst point her out, though, since she had assuredly seen any number of animalistic children.

It didn't take long for Alora to spot the pair either. One of her favorite things to do when she was out was to observe others, how they got along with their companions, their facial expressions, their gestures. She had been, for the past two occasions, drawn by the pretty scales Tyven and Drez had, despite her fear for snakes. Her experience had somewhat calmed her nerves.
Besides, this kid was rather cute, she had to admit. And was pale...white...just like her. Just like Emi. So plain, yet mesmerizing. The girl lifted a hand and waved, rather timidly at the snake girl.

Tryst broke out in a smile, waving in return to the bird girl, before pointing ni her direction to Rysha. "Over there, Mamma." She turned Rysha's head in that direction; sometimes she just assumed her actions were fine like that.
Laughing, Rysha pried Tryst's hands off her face to obligingly look in the pointed direction. She saw a pretty little winged girl watching them; yup, a flyer. She had red rings around her eyes, couldn't tell if they were a bruise or not, though.
Advancing towards the other girl, Rysha gave her a friendly smile. "So, Tryst here thinks you 'fell from the sky?'" She asked, grinning though she knew it was just landing from a flight.

She really was such a cute kid. The smile grew, lighting up the girl's face. She couldn't help but giggle as she watched the snake girl turn her mother's head towards her.
She missed her mother. Alora allowed herself to think of Melody and wonder how she was doing for a minute before smiling at the snake's parent.
"I fell?" The girl looked slightly surprised, and laughed, a melodious sweet one. "I was flying." That innocence reminded her somewhat of herself, when she was at that age. "So your name is Tryst? That's a pretty name." It reminded her of Tyven, the older snake girl. T names...Taren, the mole boy... She hadn't seen him in a long while.
"I'm Alora." She introduced herself.

Tryst smiled, holding both hands out towards Alora, her arms brushing against Rysha's ears. "Nice t'meet'cha, 'Lora." She said, shortening the name to suit herself. Tapping Rysha's shoulder, she asked "Down now?", and she was obligingly let down onto the ground, sliding off Rysha's back.
Curling her lower body under herself, she slithered foward slightly, tilting her head as she looked at Alora. "You're pretty." She said, all honesty as she smiled again, causing Rysha to grin.
"Tryst is fairly friendly, as you can probably tell." The woman said, laughing softly while ruffling Tryst's pale hair.

The bird girl smiled back in return. "It's nice to meet you too, Tryst." Quite a few people at home called her Lora, her brother, Yourie, their housekeeper, and...mother. She seemed to be reminded constantly of Melody, no matter how hard she tried not to think of it.
Mereneth didn't seem to care much, but she knew he worried as well. He had lost a mother, a guardian before, and she could see that he was afraid that it would happen again. The only thing they could do was to take care of each other.
"Thank you." A faint pinkish blush crossed her cheeks. "Your scales are pretty." She meant it as well.

Tryst giggled, wrapping around behind Alora the end of her tail twisting gently around the dove's ankle. She peered around Alora's body to get a look at her wings. "So you can fly?" She asked, even though she had already seen her flying and landing quite well.
"It must be cool to have wings." Tryst said, slithering back around to be in front of Alora, a smile still on her face. "And thank you." The snake girl said politely, unwrapping her tail from the dove's leg to curl it under herself.

She fidgeted nervously as the scales brushed her skin. Apparently, she still was scared of snakes, despite meeting two...no, three, that were nice. It must have to do with her DNA. She thought. Maybe the next time she went back to D-Corp, she could ask a teacher. Or if she was brave enough to approach a tech...
"Mmhmm." She fluttered her wings slightly. "It is, rather. I had to practice a lot before I could fly properly though."

"Who taught you?" Tryst asked in interest; she hadn't actually met any of the D-Corp teachers yet, so was fairly intrigued by them.
Curling over herself again, she looked up at Rysha. "Can we get more cotton candy?" As she asked that, she turned to Alora with a childish smile. "Want to come with?"

"Mr Solon." The girl told Tryst. Alora herself didn't know many teachers, and the flying teacher and the dragon teacher were the only ones she knew so far. "He's a nice man, and he's Ligegy's dad. Ligegy is an owl."
The dove couldn't help but smile back at the little girl. "Okay."

Giggling, Tryst unwound herself, slithering back to Rysha with a smile. "Mamma, this is 'Lora. 'Lora, this is my mamma, but you can call her Ry-"
"Rysha." The brunette said, holding a hand out with a smile. "Pleasure to meet you. So will you be accompanying us around the carnival then?" She asked, an inviting grin on her face.

"Hello Miss Rysha." The girl shook the woman's hand with a smile. Calling her by name seemed impolite, especially when she was older, and Tryst's mother as well.
"Alright then." She agreed. It wasn't as if she had anything to do. And she doubted that the fight would be over, and besides Yourie had always told her to go out and interact more with others. Maybe I should take her advice after all.

Tryst giggled, clapping her hands in excitement. "Yay! Can we go look at the games? The ones with the ring toss and stuff?" She asked both of them, tugging on the sleeve of Rysha's shirt.
Laughing, Rysha crouched down, lifting Tryst up and into her arms. The girl's tail immediately wrapped around Rysha's waist, the end tip barely touching the ground as the woman stood back up again. "I don't care where, sweets. Alora, is there anything you want to see?" She asked the older girl.
