Aurgh!
After what felt like an eternity of throwing around sheets and helpless squirming, Audric threw the covers off himself and sat up in bed. It was Wednesday, the night before his big, theatrical debut. The sensible thing to do would be to get a restful night of sleep, but Audric underestimated just how anxious he truly was; his heart seemed to be set on full-throttle. Every attempt to settle himself into slept was met with resistence. The covers suffocated him, but without them he would shiver. Not matter what position Audric lay in he couldn't sit still. He closed his eyes but they wouldn't stay shut.
Audric eyed the darkness that lingered around every corner of the room. Outside, the moon cast its reflected light down through his window, creating odd shadows amoung the objects. Without his glasses, the scene had a warped and supernatural feel which sent a shiver down his spine and made the hairs on the back of his neck stand. In a slight rush, Audric reached for his glasses on the board behind his bed. Even with them on the strange shadows remained. In this confusing state, they seemed to Audric an ominious sign. In order to escape, Audric threw on a pair of jeans with a sweater and walked out into the night.
Outside, the moonlight seemed to have an enchanting affect on the surrounding landscape; the leaves on the trees shone like lights against the horizon and the grass seemed to glow all around him. Overhead, the stars twinkled in the sky like little diamonds. The mere sight of them had a calming effect on Audric; he couldn't remember the last time he'd taken a moment to watch them glitter and sparkle. While they settled his mind, Audric's heart was still racing. Audric put a hand to his chest and felt it flutter away under his sweater; the stars may be able to trick his mind, but they couldn't trick his heart.
With a gentle sigh Audric continued along a small stone path. Unconsciously, his feet lead him to one of the many gardens that occupied Ouran. Accepting his destination, Audric walked along next to a great wall of leaves. He slowly dragged his fingers through the smooth, delicate branches and laughed softly as the leaves tickled his finger tips. Taking in a deep breath, Audric absorbed their earthy smell let his eyes close. With a sigh he muttered disheartingly, "If only every moment could be like this..." as he thought of the unsettling past few weeks and the impending day.

Satu sat in one of the music rooms, one of the ones that overlooked the gardens. The rest of the school was quiet, infact it was almost completely deserted. Lucky for Satu they tended to leave the school open late on weekdays, for the boarders and for general study purpouses. They usually didn't close till one or two in the morning.
Satu had abandoned his house in a rush to escape from the chaos that was contained within. As his sisters wedding grew closer and closer the more chaotic and unbearable his house had become. He could no longer even think in his house no the less play music. So, on this balmy night, Satu had descided to vacate his house and run from his sisters and ended up in Ouran, in the music room. How he had gotten there was almost a blur to him but it didn't matter. For the moment Satu just sat there, part of his hair tied up in a messy ponytail so it wouldn't fall into his eyes, listening the silence around him.
Once he had taken in all that he needed too of the all too strange silence around him he took a deep breath and stretched his fingers out infront of him. When Satu played music he tended to hold his breath at the difficult or complicated parts so he had to take as much air as possible in before he started to play. He had been playing the piano so much as a teacher that, for once, he descided that he didn't feel like playing it. In the corner of the music room sat a presteen acousitc guitar, hand made in spain. Satu played the guitar from time to time but he felt it was almost too easy and tended to go for the piano or violin instead. But today he felt the nights mood called for a guitar melody.
He walked over to the guitar and picked it up, moving to a seat close to the window. He loved the feel of the night air on him and left the window open. He started strumming the guitar softly, thinking about what song he could play. Satus problem was how he tended to stick to classical music so when it came to the guitar he was kind of lost. He remembered a song his sister played for him that he loved so much he learned. He started playing it softly, singing the lyrics to himself. Satu's singing voice was quite soft and deep but had a rich quality to it that made it sound quite fantastic at times. He sung this song as the recording he had heard did, softly and sweet.
"Please remember me...fondly..."(( The Trapeze Swinger - Iron & Wine This is the song Satu is playing. I can't find the recording of it I have but my one has just the main singer and a guitar. Satu's voice sounds almost perfectly like the singers by the way! ;D ))

Audric made his way through the tangle of bushes and trees slowly so he wouldn't have to open his eyes. Everything was so simple like this; there was nothing but the feel of the earth around him and the blackness. When he opened them at last everything would still be the same, the play, his internal struggle, just as sure as there would still be stars dotting the sky. But for now Audric simply relied on his hands to guide him safely through the landscape. Every now and then the rough bark of a tree would scrape his palm or a berry would hit his hand and fall softly to the ground. At one point his fingers brushed past something silky soft and tenderly delicate. A flower... Audric gasp, opening his eyes slightly to have a look. Through his eyelashes he saw an elegant white rose sitting engulfed on a large bush. Glancing around, Audric noticed that no other flowers grew on this bush. "Looks like you and me have something in common..." Audric whispered as he leaned in to smell it. The soft petals tickled his nose and Audric smiled with delight. Despite an intense erge to bring it with him, Audric left the rose where it lay and continued on his way.
With his eyes closed, all of Audric's other senses kicked into overdrive; his nose picked up every scent, his fingers shuddered at every touch, and his ears heard every leaf as it rustled in the wind. The atmosphere was sweet and calming, but the silence earned for something more. Audric wanted to hum, but he feared his tendecy to go off-key would hit in. If only...
Suddenly something caught Audric's attention. In the darkness he stood with his eyes still closed and his head on a bunch of leaves.
"In the window of the tallest tower call..."
At first the sound was so faint Audric was certain his ears were playing tricks on him. Afterall, it was said that if one earned to hear something strongly enough that their ears would make-up sounds for them. Audric was certain this was what was going on until the voice continued.
"Please, remember me...as in the dream..."
Audric's heart skipped a beat as the voice sang on faintly in the distance. That voice... Audric thought, unable to supress a blush of red. It had an unearthly tone, yet Audric knew he'd heard it before somewhere. Not to mention the guitar was breathtaking... Regaining his composure, Audric realized that he'd been squeezing the bush next to him. As he pulled his hand away, some leaves broke free from their branches and clung to his sweaty palm. Taking a deep breath, Audric calmly started to feel his way by following the alluring voice. He continued to feel his way by gliding his finger tips along the surrounding greenery. All along the way his heart was fluttering against his chest like a butterfly against a glass jar.
"Please, remember me...my misery..."
Gradually the voice grew ever louder until Audric knew he'd found who he was looking. Opening his eyes at last, they were met with white stone. The school? Audric thought to himself. Glancing upward, Audric noted that there seemed to be nothing unusual about the building. Then he saw it; a shadowy figure sitting alongside an open window. Despite the light of the moon, Audric couldn't make out anything about the person other than what he already knew; that they were a boy. Nice observation Audric... He thought to himself sarcastically. If Audric didn't discover who this person was soon, his heart was going to give out from exhaustion.
((Ek! If that's what Satu's voice is like... -squee!- xDD I need to do something like that for Audric ninja ))

Satu, as per usual, had gotten completely caught up in his music. He had mearly meant to whisper the words to the song quietly but as it continued on he got more and more passionate about the song. After all it was a beautiful song. It was simple and complex all at the same time. And the words were beautiful too. He remembered he was sitting in the front room when Luca came in with her iPod speakers. "Satu you haaaave to listen to this song!" she said happily and pressed play.
Satu remembered closing his eyes and remaining perfectily still, surpriced that it was something modern. Luca knew how Satu normally only listened to classical music and thus didn't play any modern hits for him. But from the first note he loved to song. It was just so...soothing and magical. Pretty and alluring all at the same time. Thus Satu set off about learning it. Within two weeks he had the guitar piece mastered, though the last time he had played the guitar before that was when he was 6. But he mastered the song. The only problem was...the singing. Satu was a very good singer, but his hatred of public gatherings and concerts meant that he would never do it infront of someone. Infact he would do anything within his power to do the opposite.
But Satu was in the music room as of now and since the school seemed pretty much deserted he felt that he could sing to himself without anyone else hearing him. His fingers strummed the guitar with a simple elegence which made that guitar look much to easy. He playing it so well it looked as though anyone could play this guitar which as much ease as him. He swayed slightly and he sung clearly into the night sky. The wind helped him keep his shoulder length hair, now back to its normal blond brilliance out of his face, the short, mess ponytail seeming to give up on trying to stay upright.
Lucky Satu had gotten free from the house before his sisters could see what he was wearing. He was wearing a pair of fitted blue jeans with a well fitting black and red stripped v-neck jumper over it. Underneath the jumper was a white t-shirt. Around Satus neck on a thin piece of black ribbon was a red treble clef, something that he always wore but usually tucked into whatever else he was wearing. That and his sisters seemed to love putting him in collared shirts. For once Satu seemed completely at ease, which was a rare sight to see.
As the song continued to it crechendo so it Satu, getting louder when needed, timing perfectly with the guitar, never missing a beat nor a note. Satu never went flat when singing, always a perfectionist. His timing was always perfect to, never going to fast when he was swept away in the music as so many others did. Finally the song started to get to the end, the guitar and Satu's voice getting softer, the crickets outside now joining in the melody as Satu's voice echoed through the empty school and seemingly empty gardens.
"Please, remember me Finally And all my uphill clawing My dear But if i make The pearly gates Do my best to make a drawing Of G-d and Lucifer A boy and girl An angel kissin on a sinner A monkey and a man A marching band All around the frightened trapeze swingers"

Audric held his breath as the song nearered its end. Unconsciously, he'd brought his right hand up to rest on his cheek and held his elbow up with his other hand. A light smile played on his lips as he lined up who the mysterious window singer could possibly be. This search was short lived, however, because Audric really couldn't name anyone he knew here are Ouran that could sing. This left two possible solutions: either this was a stranger, or Audric simply didn't know this person could sing.
There were many students are Ouran Audric had yet to meet, so the first possiblitiy seemed probable. Afterall, the school is packed full of students with some pretty amazing talents. But Audric still couldn't shake the feeling that he'd heard this voice somewhere before. Was it possible he was thinking of the singer of the actual song? No, Audric hadn't ever this particular song before so that was out of the question. Despite the best effort of his brain to convince Audric this person must be a stranger, he knew it wasn't. But whoever it was, when all this was over, he was going to have to remember to ask them for the title of the song.
Still looking up, Audric wondered whether or not the singer could see him. If this was anything like acting, and Audric guessed it must be, they were too captivated by the performance to notice him. It was the same way with him on stage; after rehearsals people always come up and commend Audric for his great acting. He smiles politely and always thanks them, but honestly he never had a clue they were out in the audience watching. It was a wonderful feeling to be so completely lost in something that Audric almost envied the other boy. Knowing he would be completely entranced in his same feeling helped settle some of Audric's fears for tomorrow.
Audric knew the player was in the trance, but he was still standing too close to the base of the building to be seen. Without moving his hand from his chin, Audric took a couple of small steps back. In the process he accidentally stepped down on a small branch, causing it to snap. The sound broke through the silence left after the song was over. This diverted Audric attention, but he quickly glanced back up towards the window to see the other's reaction. From his new spot, the moonlight hit the window in just the right place and Audric saw a mop of blond hair...
Satu?! Audric thought, unable to hide the look of suprise on his face. Lately it seemed as though this boy had been in Audric life a lot. Not to mention their last incounter was kind of...odd. Not that this one didn't fit that category as well. As of now Audric wasn't sure how he felt about Satu anymore.

As the last few chord trickled into the night air Satu sat in complete silence, his hair being blown softly by the night air. He took a deep breath, the damp smell of the night around him filling his lungs. It was so relaxing here and it made him almost forget what was going on at home. No doubt they would notice he was missing soon enough. His cellphone sat in his pocket, feeling much heavier then it actually was. It sat there, as a link to the real world. He knew that eventually it would ring and he would have to answer it, telling his parents where he was and return to the chaotic house. But right now none of that mattered, all the mattered was the night air and the breeze and the music.
The crickets chirped happily, as though wishing for another song. They were relaxing and made Satu feel slightly sleepy in his spaced state. The few remaining notes still lingered in the empty music hall, floating dreamily down the halls of the school, making the whole school feel as though it was within a dream. He let the guitar fall onto his knees softly, making sure not to let the beautiful instrument fall.
Suddenly a snapping noise made Satu jump out of his skin, his dream like state being shattered and making him remember where he was. He shot up, grabbing the guitar just in time from it falling on the floor and breaking into a thousand fantastically crafted pieces. He looked out the window, his blue eyes wide with shock. He didn't expect to see anyone around at this time of night, the normal students going home and the boarders in their rooms. At first his eyes didn't see anything, trying desperately to get used to the darkness outside. It was very dark outside in comparison to the brightness of the room. The moon was out and bright though and his eyes quickly adjusted to the darkness outside.
He looked around, leaning out the window slightly, still blinded by the darkness outside. When his eyes finally adjusted he saw Audric standing outside the window. Satu stood there for a second, staring at the boy. He heard me! his mind screamed, his wide eyes looking at the boy. In the bright light of the room Satu's embarrassed face could be easily seen and the longer he stood there the redder and redder his normally pale face got. No one had heard him sing. Only his family had ever heard him, and when they did it was never serious. It was usually only hummer or singing quietly to himself.
This was completely different this time. He had been singing properly, actually being serious about it and putting his heart and soul into the song. No one had heard him sing like that. Well until now anyway. Satu panicked for a second, unsure what to do or what to say. He had been completely caught off guard and stared at Audric like a deer in headlights. After a few seconds he stuttered. "G-g-good evening, A-A-Audric." he stuttered almost incoherently, not really sure what else to say.

Audric stood planted motionless to the ground. The only thing that moved was his jaw, which immediately dropped. This probably wasn't the most appealing face to make in front of someone, but it was all he could muster in this somewhat awkward and tense moment. Audric's hands had already fallen to his sides at the sight of Satu, so they weren't there to mask his face. It took Audric a good minute or so before he could shake himself back into consciousness and then slam his mouth shut to keep from making even more of an idiot out of himself.
After the gears in his brain started turning again, Audric wondered what on earth Satu was doing at the school. Audric came a couple days early so he wouldn't be stuck in all the craziness at his house. He was the one going to be in a play, but his siblings were running around like they were! This sisters were dressing up, reciting lines...and it was all terribly annoying. Audric himself ran over the lines for hours each day at rehearsal, so that was the last thing he needed to come home to. It wasn't the best situation, since all of his stuff was in boxes except his bed, but Audric made due. That's just how bad he wanted some peace and quiet. He knew Satu had his sister's wedding soon, so everyone must be sprinting around his house trying to work out the final details. Hmm...a bunch of gitty girls, Audric thought, that's why he's here.
Since Satu was leaning against the window slightly, Audric now had a clear view of his face. As the moments dragged on it grew redder...and redder...and redder. By his expression it was very obvious that Audric that he wasn't expecting anyone to be listening. But why would that be? He has such a beautiful voice! Audric wondered.
Then it hit him like a brick. If this was the first Audric was hearing of Satu's singing skills, that must mean he doesn't do it for others very often, which would also explain his reaction to seeing Audric standing behind the window. Suddenly he felt somewhat like an intruder. He wanted to say sorry, but the song was so wonderful he wasn't sorry for hearing it. Unable to explain himself, Audric's face started to mimic Satu's. And when Audric blushed, boy did he blush! Not only does his face become red, but so do his ears.
When one of them finally spoke, and it was Satu, the tension in the air thickened. His voice was so weak and cute Audric felt terrible for ever interuping him. The last thing he intended to do was embarrass the poor boy! But now that there was nothing he could do about that, Audric stammered, "Y-yeah, l-lovely w-w-eather." Oh god what a stupid thing to say! He thought looking down, but continued on with, "It's n-nice to s-see you."

Oh this was so awkward. Satu wished that he didn't care quite as much about people hearing him sing. That way this whole awkward situation could be completely avoided. But instead his face went bright red. Satu could never hide his feelings from people. He truly wore his heart on his sleeve and that sometimes got him in trouble. After all people equally knew that he was angry when he was angry. Though Satu tended not to get angry. He had very little to be angry at in the grand scheme of things.
But his problem with hiding his emotions was incredibly apparent now. His face was bright red and eyes were still wide from the shock. He wasn't angry at Audric. It really wasn't his fault that he had heard him. After all it was Satu who was singing loudly into the night sky. Audric just so happened to come across it. But Satu was slightly confused. What was Audric doing wandering around the gardens at this time of night? Satu knew that he was a boarder in the school but he had heard they were pretty strict when it came to the curfews of the students. Maybe that was just a rumour though?
Satu was equally sure that Audric was probably wondering what he was doing here in Ouran at this time of night. It was quite odd, Satu guessed. After all it was almost midnight. Not even the most studious of students would stay in the school this late. The security guard had given Satu a very strange look when he walked in the gate, his Ouran school bag the only thing that proved that he wasn't just wandering in off the street. But, as much as the guard hated it, the school was officially still open which meant that Satu was free to use the facilities. Which Satu was amazingly grateful of this evening.
But the awkward reply from Audric made Satu even more self contious, because he was usually such an easy going guy that he was rarely caught in a situation like this. He tried to recover from it but his mixture between embarrassment and shock and just plain tiredness made him unable to recover the situation.
But Satu tried his best, clearing his voice and replying, his voice slightly stronger before. "Um...yes...the weather is quite lovely..." he started, his voice finally coming back to him. "W-what are you doing out this time of night?" he asked, his voice still quiet. He didn't sound accusing but simply curious. But he still didn't sound like his normal self, the tension still quite thick in the air as Satu's embarrassed face looked onto Audrics, both boys as red as each other.

By the sound of Satu's voice now Audric couldn't believe that was who he had been hearing only moments ago. This was why Audric hadn't been able to identify him even after talking to Satu many times. Gradually his voice seemed to become more normal, but he still had a slight stammer in his speech. Not that Audric had a right to complain about this, since he voice was the same way if not worse. Whenever Audric talked he couldn't believe that trembling mass of thrown together words came from his mouth. But then again he'd been very uncertain about things for the last week; seems that was starting to show itself in his speech.
Audric was a little bummed out when Satu answered his stupid question with a pretty normal answer. Both of them were beating around the bush and if this went on any longer Audric was going to need medical attention from the stress of it all. But then he asked a question, which was the most intelligent thing either of them said so far. "Well," Audric replied quietly, "I-I couldn't sleep." Audric was a little embarrassed about this answer and didn't look up from his shoes as he said it. It made him sound like some child who had a nightmare or something. With anything else intelligent to say, Audric simply repeated Satu's question. "So, what're y-you doing out?" He asked, then quickly added, "Y-ou know, besides the obvious."
On the surface this little chat seemed somewhat normal. If it wasn't for the fact that both of them were blushing madly, no one would suspect anything odd was going on. But because of this you know there's an elephant in the room (or perhaps on the ground with Audric) that neither of them want to mention. Audric's heart was itching for him to say something about the song, but his brain was too busy frying out to listen.
As he waited for Satu's reply, Audric swallowed hard, which was difficult considering his throat was bone dry. He desperately wanted to hear another song, but judging by Satu's reaction that request wasn't going to clear any time soon. Audric knew this would sound awfully silly and he would never say it out loud, but it almost seemed like Satu was singing to him. But isn't that the way you're suppose to feel if the singer truly accomplishes the song? If Satu has that kind of talent he shouldn't be hiding it away for only the starring night to hear. Not that Audric was going to push this on him or anything. Satu must have reasons for his actions, and Audric was going to respect them.

Satu coughed again, trying as quickly as he could to reclaim his usual composure. He was so unused to being caught off guard that he was having a very difficult time doing so. He was very tired, that last few days of an overly busy house and very squeely sisters starting to take their toll on him. He was paler then usual, his blue eyes standing out much more then normal from the black bags that lay beneath them. He hadn't been able to sleep well with such noise in the house, his sisters commonly coming into his room at ungodly hours asking him opinions of things and getting him fitted for stuff.
Then he had to practice his piece of music for the wedding. Luckily he was playing the violin for it with Luca doing vocals and the piano so he didn't have all that much to do. Unfortunately his twin was as big a perfectionist as he was so they spent a lot of time practicing. After that there was music lessons, the ones with Cecile especially starting to take a toll on the boy. She was officially the most annoying person he had ever met in his life. And he would have to spend the entire wedding with her, constantly. They simply had nothing in common. She didn't read, or listen to that much music so Satu had to fill the silence with stupid small talk and general insignificant conversation.
Satu was unsure of just how much of his singing Audric had heard but from the look in his face Satu was fairly sure that he had heard at least half of the song, if not more. This was possibly the most embarrassing thing in the world to him. But he was equally sure that the situation was no more comfortable for Audric then it was to him. After all it was Satu who was being stupid and singing with the window open. Audric was just taking a stroll in the garden. So therefore it was Satu's responsibility to set the situation right. After all they were friends, awkwardness should never come into the picture.
Satu nodded stupidly. "Oh you couldn't sleep?" he asked, his stammering gone but his voice still much weaker then usual. "Are you nervous about tomorrow?" Satu was sure that if he were in Audrics shoes he would have probably thrown up at least three times by now with nerves. He wasn't sure how Audric handled nerves himself so he wasn't sure what state the blond haired boy was in.
Satu blushed again when the obvious was mentioned. So that meant that he heard most of it? Damn. "Oh...well....theres rather a lot...of chaos in my house at the moment...because of my sisters wedding. I wanted...to get away from it I guess." he said with a nervous, lopsided grin. "It's to chaotic to play music...in my house...I guess. So the only other place I could think of was the music rooms." Satu replied, trying to sidestep around the singing as much as humanly possible. He knew it would have to come up in the conversation eventually but he didn't have to be the one to bring it up!

As the seconds ticked away at a painfully slow speed, Audric began to mentally build himself back up. This whole strange situation caught Audric completely off-guard and knocked the defensive front he'd been putting up for the past few weeks down. It'd been a grouling time for Audric lately and it took most of his strength to put a mask of happiness on. The last thing he wanted to do was burden others with his problem, so he tried his best to fake happiness. You'd think this would be pretty easy, considering Audric's an actor, but it put an incredible about of stress on the boy. Just the other day this mask fell off and Audric said and did a couple of things that he gave himself a couple of hits for when he was back in his room. What are the chances Satu would be there to witness Audric completely defenseless twice?
Standing below Satu made Audric feel like a sample being scrutinized under the microscope. Satu's mind was probably filled with a million different thoughts about Audric, just like Audric's was filled with thoughts about him. Their past meeting wasn't the friendliest of times, mostly because of Audric. At that time it'd seemed that Satu had forgiven him, but Audric wasn't so sure now. It was easy to believe Satu before, because Audric wanted his forgiveness, but now the thought entered Audric's mind that he might have hurt their friendship. This could easily explain some of the awkwardness of the current situation. What if Satu was up there right now thinking about what a sorry cause he'd become? The moonlight seemed to serve as a spotlight, narrowing in on Audric to keep him rooted in place.
"Yeah, I guess so." Audric replied to his shoes. On the surface that seemed to be a logically reason, but Audric had a feeling that it wasn't only the play. Not to say he wasn't freaking out about his performance, since Audric's stomach was all in twists over it, but there was something else that was picking at him. Only Audric couldn't quite get his finger on it; everytime he thought he found the source, it slipped back away into the deepest corner of his heart. After his little hang-out session with Satu, Mitsuko and Hamako this feeling seemed to grow worse and began to occupy more of his time.
After Audric made the small and seemingly vague remark about Satu's singing, he knew it was a mistake. He barely got the words out before his face burst out with an even deeper blush. Stupid, stupid! Audric said, cursing himself. Way to be subtle. One of them needed to bring the subject up, but that probably wasn't the best time.
As Satu spoke, Audric took a deep breath and decided it would seem pretty rude to stare at his feet like an idiot. Looking up, he saw Satu had a little smile on his face; it wasn't over happy or anything, but it was a smile. This lifted off some of the tense, at least for Audric, because it meant maybe Satu wasn't angry at him or anything. Maybe. When Satu replied, it was pretty obvious to Audric that he was avoiding the subject. Well, the singing subject at least. "Ah, that makes sense." Audric replied, unable to find anything else to say.
"I couldn't sing with all that mess ei...ther..." Slip up, and what a big one! Audric had no idea where this came from, other than it was what he'd been wanting to say. Audric let his mind wander for one moment and it does something like this! At this point, Audric didn't believe he could possibly blush anymore. All he could do was stare in a sudden silence with a bright red face up at Satu.

Satu still stood there awkwards, absent minded leaning on the window sill infront of him. The bright chandilers from the room shone brightly and contrasted greatly with the dark garden where Audric stood. It was a perfect looking picture though neither boy knew it. The light behind Satu's head made his blond hair almost shine as he leaned out the window, looking at the blond boy below him. Audrics hair shined in the moonlight. Lets just say light on blond hair always looked very good and it just so happened both boys were blondies.
Satu was one to forgive and forget very easily. Satu was the type of person who could only stay angry at someone for an hour or two and then get bored of being angry and be friends with them. Satu had, of course, never really been that angry at Audric in the first place so he wasn't thinking at all about their little tiff the day before. Infact Satu didn't really think much of the fight at all. It was a simple tiff between friend, in his opinion. Everyone was entitled to being in a bad mood every once in a while.
Satu tried to smile then, trying his best to get rid of the horribly awkward situation but his embaressment simply couldn't let him. His smile was small but didn't seem forced at all. When he spoke his voice was still much weaker then it normally was. "Well...I'm sure you'll be fine tomorrow." he said, as kindly as his protesting voice would let him.
Satu blushed a furious red. So he heard everything? God dammit. No one was supposed to know he could sing. Satu wasn't even sure if he could sing. His voice had never been trained and never been used in public. Ever. Knowing that someone had heard something that to him had not been practiced to perfection was simply terrible and horribly embaressing. Satu only liked people hearing the things that he had perfected playing. He hasn't brilliant at the guitar but he could live with Audric hearing him play that but singing? Now that was a different matter entirly.
Satu looked away, the embaressing staring contest between the two of them finally being broken, his face amazingly red. The boy rubbed the back of his neck nervously, no staring at the window frame. "So...so...you heard that?" he muttered stupidly before glancing at Audric for his reaction. "A-all...of it?"
Oh dear god Satu simply wished a hole would swallow him up.

Okay, the tension and awkwardness in the air was really starting to get to Audric. Back in his room Audric felt like he was suffocating, so he escaped into the cool night air. But now the air was hot and heavy, making Audric begin to sweat slightly. Audric hoped Satu wouldn't be able to notice from is high position, but the moonlight really wasn't on his side; the light reflected off the little beads of sweat that began to appear along Audric's cheeks. Audric reached up and pulled at his collar. At this moment he regretted having pajama pants and a long sleeved button up shirt. His choker also trapped in the heat. The only thing that helped Audric through was the occasional burst of cool wind.
Looking into Satu's eyes, Audric knew he'd been wrong; the other boy didn't even seem slightly angry. This was a huge relief, and not totally unexpected. When he truly thought about it, Audric couldn't imagine seeing Satu angry or mad. It just didn't suit him. Satu had even said it himself, Audric was one of the only people to see him angry. This took away some of Audric's nerves, but seeing Satu embarrassed just added those same ones back on. That's what shone in Satu's eyes at the moment; embarrassment. One of them needed to pull it together, but Audric wasn't sure if he could do it.
It wasn't much, just a couple of words, but Audric was greatful for Satu's response. But tomorrow seemed so far away...
Audric mind was frozen in shock; did that really just slip out of his mouth? He usually wasn't one to beat around the bush, so maybe that was his mind's way of trying to push the moment one. Though Audric had to admit, he felt slightly better now. Since the issue was now forced to the surface, they could stop tip-toeing around it and instead try to work out what exactly the other was thinking. Audric knew how he felt about this, but he wasn't so sure about Satu. By his blushing Audric knew Satu was embarrassed, but he wanted to know why. He obviously didn't just go singing around for everyone, but that answer wasn't enough for Audric.
Even when Satu turned away Audric continued to stare at him. For a moment, he frowned and thought about getting a cool rag or using his hands to cool the other boy down. The rag was obvious, but Audric's hands felt so clammy they would suit perfectly. But that thought ended because of height issues. "Um...y-yeah." Audric replied quietly. "Well, m-most of it I t-think." In fact, the song was currently buzzing around inside of Audric's head, refusing to leave.
Finding nothing else to say, Audric added meekly, "S-sorry." This time he cast his eyes away and instead focused on the aura circling the moon.

Satu continued to look at the window sill, which was reflecting the moon quite nicely. He really wished he wasn't as embarrassed about his singing. That way they would have never been put in this situation. If Satu was more confident he would has simple smiled at Audric and let him worry about his own problems instead of the situation it had turned into, where Audric was worrying about him. It shouldn't be that way when Audric was already nervous about the play tomorrow. The last thing he needed was to be lumped with someones stupid stage fright.
But Satu wasn't as brave or confident as that and thus it bothered him way to much. He felt selfish though, amazingly selfish. He should be trying to make Audric feel better about tomorrow, not stupidly stare at a window sill because of his own embarrassment. Satu was really not happy with how he was handling the situation at all, but Satu could never really control his emotions so keeping them in check was almost impossible.
He knew that if he had simple said 'Oh you caught me eh?' with a nonchalant smile this whole situation could have been avoided. He wasn't even sure as to why he was as embarrassed as he was about it. Maybe it was that Audric had heard something unperfected? Or maybe it was something else? Satu couldn't quite put his finger on it but he knew for sure that he did not like the situation he was in.
Satu listened to Audric attentively, not looking at the boy at all, not that it mattered anyway. Satus bright red face could still be seen as clear as day. Especially since he was usually quite pale the sudden colour in his cheeks was all too obvious. The air conditioning in the room didn't do anything to help him except blow his messily tied up blond hair in an oddly dreamlike fashion.
Satu continued to look at the window sill, his hand still rubbing his neck nervously. "Oh...I...erm...I see...." he muttered quietly. Satu really didn't know what to say, which was a first for him. His musician instincts wanted to know how Audric had liked it. He wanted to know if there would be ways he could improve it, maybe the timing was a little off, but Satu's embarrassment stopped him from asking any of these things.
Satu looked up when Audric said sorry. It was stupid for him to apologize. After all Audric had done nothing wrong. He just happened to stumble across this situation when he was taking a walk. Satu should be the one apologizing for putting Audric in such an awkward situation. He looked away again muttering. "Don't be." He then looked at the window sill. "What...what...did...?" Satu started trailing off. He couldn't ask him what he thought. It was way to embarrassing. Hopefully Audric got what he was trying to ask anyway, even if his protesting voice wouldn't let him finish.

Audric was trying to guess what was going on in Satu's head, but this was nearly impossible without seeing his face. Aside from the painfully obvious blushing, Audric couldn't see anything else on Satu's face. Except that his eyes were still on the window sill, or pretty much anything but Audric. There must have been a fan or air conditioning on inside, because Satu's hair was constantly being flown to conviently cover his face. Audric had no such luxuries; he felt as though he was being slowly suffocated in his pajamas. The few puffs of wind were no longer enough.
In the silence, Audric wished for the strength to produce a full and logical sentence. He felt as though no more than three words could come out of him at the same time without his mouth drying and his throat closing up. These little bursts of words weren't enough to break the boys from this awkward tension. Audric had been hoping Satu would have known exactly what to say, since he'd always seemed so much more sure of himself than the other boy, but he didn't know what to say either.
Now that he thought about, Audric really wasn't sure how this whole situation turned out like this. When he really thought about it, shouldn't it only be Satu who was embarrassed? For whatever reason, he had been caught off-guard when Audric showed up. Wouldn't a mere 'opps...sorry' from Audric have sufficed? Then Audric could have just walked back off to the gardens. But for some reason Audric had a strange feeling that burned inside of him and wouldn't let him leave. This was a feeling Audric had seen a lot of in the last few weeks. But it wasn't until certain moments that it felt this strong. Actually, he'd had this feeling not too long ago...
When Audric confessed to hearing most of the song, he wasn't suprised to see that Satu wasn't too thrilled. But Satu was a musician, so he couldn't be too upset about it, could he? Surely the boy wanted others to hear all the time and effort he put into learning a song. Audric's head was facing the cool, grass ground, but his eyes were looking up at Satu; they were searching for another reaction, possibly more positive one.
The second the words left his mouth Audric knew they were the wrong ones. In his head sorry seemed to be the only right reply, but spoken they sounded dumb and empty. Sorry is something you say when you wrong someone, not when there's nothing else to say. Audric was greatful to catch a glimpse at the boys eyes, but before he could say anything Satu turned away again. Audric knew the boy was just embarrassed, but it hurt a little that Satu couldn't look him in the eyes. But a moment later, when Satu spoke next, Audric couldn't help felt but feel slightly happy. It wasn't even a complete thought, but Audric knew what Satu was saying. He could read the nervousness in Satu's eyes even though they were concentrating on the sill again. He wants to know what I thought of it...Audric thought, while a small smile came to his face. It meant a great deal to Audric that Satu carried what he thought of his song.
"I..." Audric began, his voice much steedier than before, "I thought it was beautiful..." This wasn't a very deep answer, but it was Audric's honest opinion of the song. His eyes wanted to dart back to his shoes after saying this, but Audric was determined to be the strong one. So instead he kept his eyes on Satu.
