Well it looks like Nintendo is getting more animosity than love at this moment. (Unless you're the casuals that is)

"Core" gamers are getting Pissed Off because E3 sucked for them (Seriously it's a business convention now not a gaming one. )

And now Third - Parties are too. Look below.

Wii third-parties nonplussed by surprise MotionPlus reveal

We'll level with you: the game industry confuses us. For example: you'd think with games like Star Wars: The Force Unleashed and Clone Wars, not to mention the recently announced Sonic and the Black Knight, coming to the Wii that Nintendo would have been eager to get the MotionPlus into dev's hands as quickly as possible. Not so, as Game Informer learned when they asked several third-party developers about the peripheral.

Turns out the site uncovered a "general feeling ... of annoyance and betrayal" that Nintendo shared the existence of the device with third parties at the exact same time they shared it with us. Game Informer estimates it would take some six to nine months to incorporate MotionPlus functionality into games and that it's probably too late for games "deep in development." With Wii Sports Resort not due until Spring 2009, that might be just enough time to build some support into upcoming titles. So, let's recap: at Nintendo's E3 showing, they managed to not only piss off every "core" gamer in existence but a good number of their third-party developers as well. Impressive?

Also I'm actually seriously considering selling my Wii but I don't because of Mega Man 9 and the new Tales of Symphonia coming up.

Ugh seriously there are a lot of fans up in and arms.

However I rather see Nintendo succeeding instead of being last like in the last-gen.

I've been a Nintendo fan since I touched the NES however I would like to see Nintendo to get act together before the end of this year.

I don't give a rats a**. I'll get it when it comes out. It wasn't something I was obsessing over wanting.

To be honest that isn't Nintendo's priority or fault.

If the third parties wanted to use the Motion Plus, they've would of actually approach or even asked.

Nintendo is not going to spoon feed every single third party on the planet.

On the other hand, if Nintendo really wants it to take off, they should have made mention of it to third parties beforehand, no?

Eh, I'm probably completely off, I've lost interest anyway.

They announced it before E3. x.x; I don't know how third parties didn't know.

Also I'm really tired of it's "The Wii's fault third parties aren't doing well".

It's up to the job of the third parties to use what's available instead of Nintendo spoon feeding them in order to do well. That's what pissing me off, they are being lazy and uncreative.

I don't think it's Nintendo's fault. The third parties seriously need to get their act together when it comes to Wii.

But you have to admit, Nintendo has to put some effort into putting exclusive third party games on Wii. It doesn't seem like they have been doing that.

But from what the third parties have been doing, Nintendo hasn't been given much of a reason... stare

Idk...I don't hate the Wii, I just don't appreciate it as much anymore. When I got the Ps3 my tastes in games changed to something more, should I say, mature? And what the Wii was offering just wasn't cutting it anymore.

There are some games I'll still play, like SSX Blur, Excite Truck, Brawl, Metroid, and even Wii Sports and WarioWare if there are friends with me.

EDIT: Nice new look.

No. Wrong choice of words.

@Canis: You became more open-minded.
@Legends: I don't know what the hell you became. xD

On an off topic note: I don't understand everyone's deal is with third-party games. Since when are they the most important thing a console needs?

Ah, wasn't saying you hated it, just noticed your take on it has changed considerably. And thanks, just need a Katana...which is expensive...I got it when it first game out too...I was stupid for getting rid of it. gonk

@Wak
I wouldn't say the most important, but they do play a role I think. First party is important as Nintendo has demonstrated over the years and Sony is now starting to realize because third parties don't have to stay exclusive. Third parties are important though because first parties only have so much resources. There can be a lot more third parties than first parties, and in my personal opinion third parties have a lot more opportunity to come up with original ideas than first parties.

First parties tend to have the need to focus on certain games. Mario games, Jak and Daxter, etc. If first party titles become popular, those first parties have to focus on those titles and leave less room for new IPs. That's kind of where third parties come in. Take Nintendo, they've taken on the new casual route for original ideas...and I support that, but focusing on those more have resulted in less support for their hardcore games.

It's hard for a first party to focus on so much at once....and I think third parties ease the load.

E3 was a ******** piss-stain this year. WHAT HAPPENED?! None of the games expected to be there were there! If every other E3 is going to be like this, then I hope the rumors of this being the last E3 are true.
