A hurricane came and destroyed a young girl's home and family which sent her to the streets where on the highway a guy who was traveling across the country and he takes her in. But they're around the same age. And they grow to sort of like each other. But when they finally realize that they were in love, another hurricane hits and seperates the two, the boy and girl making it but the boy thought she had died because rescue workers couldn't find her. And a few years later they find each other again only the boy is engaged to another woman.
