When Ash went back to visit his mother, she asked them if they wanted hamburgers or hot dogs. This means people eat Miltank.

Hot dogs are made out of several random body parts of animals, so it has to be more than Miltank.
I would like to point out that, in the first season, they had an episode featuring Farfech'd. When Ash was all "OMGOMG what is that poke`mon!? What could that creature that is saying 'Farfech'd' possibly be!?" and pointed Dexder at it, Dexder so helpfully informed that Farfech'd is considered a dellecasy, so many people catch them to eat them, which makes them quite rare. No, really, that's what he said; go look up the episode, man. It makes sense, though. mean, ducks are all dark meat. Yummm! Farfech'd for dinner, anyone?
