Riley sighed softly, resting his head back against his seat. He didn't know why he was doing this, he didn't know what prompted him to leave his house with his noseless wonder of a charge, to drive to Rysha's house, invite himself in and request a family outing. Well that was a total lie, he considered it the fault of Crescentia, the woman who indirectly was the cause of his forced adoption of Emmet. She told him he should be more friendly, that he should act like a father, and to consider what his own father had done when he was a child.
That was probably the reason he was here now; he was trying to be the way his own father was.
So he'd talked Rysha into going to the park with him and Emmet; it wasn't hard to convince Tryst to come along either, once Emmet had his scaley little hands on her in a bear-like hug not very many snakes could pull off. It may have taken some convincing to get them to go into his car, and he knew it was hard to get Emmet back into his carseat. The boy absolutely REFUSED to sit in it, claiming it was uncomfortable...but he always did it anyway. Snake or not he was still a toddler, and still far enough under the weight restriction to legally need a carseat. Riley had one for Tryst, too.
At least he didn't force them into cages and tanks like they should be. He was able to compromise!
So the four of them had a nice drive to the park in Riley's old but fuel efficient silver Cavalier, the radio playing quietly. By the time they got there, Emmet was passed out in his carseat, snoring lightly. His tongue flicked out from between his lips every so often and his little hands had a death grip on his own tail. Riley, trying to be a good father (again at Crescentia's demand), had to quietly pry the boy's fingers from around his own tail, and then lift him out of the car seat. It wasn't easy. As soon as the military man had Emmet out of the car, the boy's tail had twisted around Riley's midsection, squeezing lightly...but tight enough to know he wouldn't be able to break that hold without breaking his charge.
"Uhh, we're here." Riley said lamely, motioning to the park. He felt stupid and unsure...and those were two things he could never deal with. Stupid Crescentia. Stupid D-Corp.

Rysha was sitting up in the front seat, one foot on the seat by her backside, pushing her knee in front of her chest, and her elbow on the edge of the window, her chin in the palm of her hand. Family outing. Right.
Riley and Emmet had shown up on the doorstep of her dance studio, Mr. Oh-So-Sensitive ringing the doorbell multiple times after apparently forgetting her apartment was on the second floor. Once Tryst got a look at who was there, though, they were pretty much out the door, no point in arguing. Not that Rysha was begrudging the twins their time together, but still. A lady generally needed at least five minutes to get decent, especially after being called to the door in what was basically her pajamas.
So the two of them were accompanying Riley and Emmet to the park, Rysha looking similar to a teenager woken up at 10am as opposed to 2pm, eyes gazing blankly out the window at the scenery passing by.
Tryst was sitting contentedly in the back seat with Emmet, strapped into the child seat with her tail carefully wound through one of the leg holes, trailing onto the footspace of the car. The Raichu plush toy that Rysha had bought for her was ensconced in white scaled arms, as Tryst didn't often let go of it. "Momma, when're we gonna get there?" She asked, pitching her voice a little louder to be heard over the radio.
"Soon, sweetie." Rysha said, turning back to look at the twins with a smile, the park coming into view and being less then two minutes away.

It was a very fine day today, Marco was rather pleased with his decision to take the children to the park for the day. The man was sitting on a park bench hands folded in his lap and back straight in a very serene manner. The man had on some very peculiar garments, they were reminiscent of his times back in the old country and his stay at the Buddhist temple. His long braided black pony-tail fell almost down to the ground as it went through the back of the bench. The man was smiling, not a wide smile but one of those content smiles cheerful people seemed to always have on their face.
His little girl Deidre wasn't exactly in the actual park. She was off to the side a bit, away from the wood chips and in a grassier area where there were plenty of flowers and other pretty little things. She was busying herself by making a crown for herself out of various different wild flowers.
The red headed boy Claydon was goofing around on the monkey bars, he was wriggling and squirming his way to the top of them. He wanted to be like one of those stunt men who did those daring amazing things that everyone adored. Fortunately the boy was still too young and lacked the upper body strength to successfully pull himself up to the top of the bars, though Marco kept a watchful eye on him none the less.
Romeo the chubbier black haired triplet was sitting in the wood chips, he had a Batman and Riddler action figure and he was muttering to himself voicing his toys. He played make-believe often with his action figures, it was his favorite mode of play. He was smiling and laughing as new ideas for the evil plots of the Riddler came into mind and then plans for Batman to thwart them.

Riley pulled up to the parking lot for the park as quietly as his car could, putting it into park and taking out the keys with one hand while opening the drivers side door with the other. Silently he opened the door behind his, where Emmet was completely and utterly passed out, his Weedle plushie gripped tightly in his chubby little arms. Unbuckling the noseless wonder from his carseat, he pulled him out of the car and held him awkwardly for a moment, hoping to god that would be enough to wake Emmet up.
Apparently, it was not.
Sighing to himself, the military man lightly kicked the rear car door shut, before looking over the roof of it to see how Rysha was fairing with Tryst. Emmet's somewhat cold, scaley tail had long since wrapped around Riley's waist once more, holding onto him tightly.
"I'll learn eventually." He finally and sheepishly spoke to Rysha, in regards to his uhh, 'kidnapping' in order to get them here. How was he supposed to know a woman needed time to get ready? Crescentia only wore clothes when she had to, so its not like he had anything to compare it to. Then, he lightly shook the boy's shoulder, trying to get him to wake up. "Emmet...we're here, wake up." Riley said quietly, if not awkwardly.
Emmet only let out a groan, hugging his Weedle Plush tighter to his body and shifting his cheek to squish against Riley's shoulder. But when Riley persisted in shaking him lightly, Emmet's black eyes opened, his red pupils shifting in and out of focus before he yawned so wide it unhinged his jaw; a move he had been prone to do from day one. Cracking his jaw back into place as if it were nothing, he looked around the park and its inhabitants. Pure black eyes, devoid of any colour other than those red pupils of his, fell on the little girl with the flowers, the boy in the woodchips, and the boy on the monkey bars. Suddenly, he let out a tiny little noise and clung to Riley tighter than he had been before, his poor Weedle plush stuck between his white scales and Riley's grey shirt. "Go home now." He mummbled, pleading with the Guardian he knew wouldn't listen. Dark eyes turned, trying to find Rysha and Tryst to see if they would back him up.
"No, Emmet...we need out, you need out. This'll be good for you! Look at the other little kids...and Tryst is here, no need to worry." Riley explained with a pointed look at Rysha, stepping around the car to move to the park itself, wondering where to try and put the little Python down.

Rysha had also gotten out, carefully extracting Tryst from the baby seat before making her comfortable in her arms. The snake girl's tail had also wrapped around Rysha's waist, not too tightly since they had already experienced Tryst's tail strength, but strong enough to not fall were she to suddenly drop.
She had decided to forgive Riley for the intrusion, she really didn't mind too much. As he said himself, he was learning. So Rysha gave him a break and just smiled at him.
Tryst was fairly awake, and looking around in interest. Apparently more outgoing then her brother, or at least more willing to give something a chance. Her blue eyes also fell on the three children nearby, though her immediate reaction, unlike Emmet, was the smile brightly, waving her hands in their direction.
"Go over?" She asked, tilting her head backwards to look at Rysha, who started laughing.
"Well, seems there's at least one difference in the twins. C'mon, Emmet, it'll do you good to meet some people besides me and sour-puss." The woman said, a crooked grin on her face as she shifted Tryst so that the girl was on her back, the raichu plush between her chest and Rysha's back, tail still around her waist.

Marco turned his head as he noticed the others pull into the parks parking lot. He smiled at them briefly before returning his attention to his kids. He didn't want to let them play unwatched for very long. He knew what those three were capable of doing, especially Clay.
Deidre noticed as well as the other two children came out of the car. Her eyes easily passed over the boy, she didn't need to deal with another one of them if he was anything like her brothers. She seemed excited though at the sight of another girl. She wondered if she would want to make flower crowns and bracelets with her.
Romeo was rather oblivious to the others arrival. He was too absorbed into his fantasy world to notice.
Clay noticed that other kids were coming, he though they looked pretty weird, they didn't even have legs but that was like Ter. He wondered for a moment if they knew him too, but didn't make any movements to go out of his way to greet them.

Riley moved closer to the other man and the dark skinned little ones, and the closer he got to them he seemed to realize that they weren't all human either. They had tails, ears...and little horns. They were cute though, and normal looking outside of those little tweaks. What he wouldn't give to have been blackmailed for a normal-looking child instead. The military man mused over this, holding onto the small of Emmet's back with one arm while trying to pry the boy's tail from around his waist.
"Come on Emmet, you have to get down at some point. Rysha's right, you need to meet people." He struggled with the boy's grip, and when it appeared that wasn't going to work, he sighed heavilly and pointed to Tryst. "Emmet, Tryst is going, you should go too." Riley found that if Emmet found out Tryst was going to do something, he would do it too.
Emmet closed his lips tightly, then parted them again slowly in a sigh, unwinding his tail from Riley and letting his Guardian lower him to the ground. His cold, scaley hand gripped Riley's and he slithered slowly alongside his Guardian, eyeing the three children and the other man. His tongue flicking out from between his lips every now and then, tasting the air around him. Parks were pretty, but they were too open for his liking...he wanted to go back to that small little room he had in Riley's apartment.
"Go on Emmet, go play." Riley said quietly to the little boy after sitting himself down in the grass, letting go of the little Leucistic's hand and trying to urge him in the direction of the other three little ones.
Emmet could only stare at them with wide black eyes, his slitted red pupils shifting from one child to the other in a fit of panic.

Rysha had already set Tryst down while Riley was talking Emmet into letting go. Squatting down and balancing on her toes, she tapped Tryst's small nose. "I don't need to tell you to play nice, do I? And keep an eye on Emmet. He's here for you." She said, smiling before giving Tryst a gentle shove in the direction of the other kids.
Tryst obliged, leaning over to grab Emmet's scaley hand while making forward motions. "C'mon, Emmy." She crooned encouragingly, looking again towards the three dark skinned children. The black haired one seemed to be oblivious to everything, but the other two were watching them. Smiling, she pulled Emmet along with her, slithering slowly towards them.
Tryst might be the more open one, but she was shy about approaching people just as Emmet was shy about it in general.

Deidre watched the other girl closely, she was trying to decide whether or not to approach her. She had the boys hand in hers and they looked very similar, she guessed they might be siblings.
Romeo didn't notice the other kids still, he continued to play with his action figures giggling to himself every once in a while.
Clay was now at the top of the tunnel slide. He wasn't sure what the kids wanted to do there but the tunnel slide was his secret hide out. He slipped in and slid halfway down before stopping himself and waiting there.

Emmet jumped a bit when someone grabbed his hand...though it didn't take him long to register that it was Tryst's hand that had his. "Okay, Mist..." He slithered after his twin, his hand gripping hers tightly. While the other kids got closer and closer, Emmet continued to stare at them, each in turn. His tongue flickered out from between his lips when the reddish haired boy disappeared into the strange tunnel, mildly curious as to why the boy suddenly disappeared...and why he wasn't coming back out the other end. The girl seemed more interested in Tryst and the other boy didn't seem to care at all.
Biting down on his bottom lip with his little fangs, he slowly let go of Tryst's hand with a deep breath. He was curious as to why the redheaded one wasn't appearing at the end of the tunnel, and he was working up the courage to go find out. Slowly and carefully, he slithered closer to the tunnel slide, occassionally stopping to look over his shoulder at Tryst, Riley and Rysha. When he finally made it to the slide he flicked out his tongue, tasting the air. The boy was still there it seemed...maybe he was stuck?
Child-like curiousity won over the careful warning his queasy stomach was giving him, and he slowly lowered himself enough on his tail to peek into the bottom end of the tunnel, his cold scaley hands resting on the warm plastic.
"H-hello...?"

Tryst grinned at her brother when he looked back, waving encouragingly, before turning to the little blonde girl. Her tongue flicked out for a moment, black and forked, identifying the smells. Yup. Cowgirl. Tryst's grin remained in place as she slowly slithered towards the girl.
"Hullo." Tryst waved to the dark skinned girl, not entirely sure how she would react, though she seemed to be the one paying the most attention to Tryst. The black haired boy was still oblivious, and Emmet was investigating the other one.

"Hi!" Deidre said with a smile as the girl approached her, "I'm Deidre!" She offered cheerily. The girl had a half made crown of flowers in her hands, and some others that she had picked lying close next to her.
Clay heard the shaky voice and went a little further down the slide to peer past the bend to see the snake child, "What do you want?" He said warily. He thought that he wanted to steal his slide, he was firm in standing his ground and not giving it up.
Romeo finally noticed the other two kids were there when he heard his brothers voice snap at some one. He looked up from his toys and over to the white little snake that was looking up the slide. He scanned the area and noticed that there was also a girl by Deidre and two other adults.

Emmet gave a surprised little hiss when the redheaded little boy suddenly appeared. Black eyes widened at the blunt words and his long tail twisted, curling defensively around himself as if he were ready to either curl into a ball or bolt at a moments notice. "Um...um..." The boy said quietly, trying to think of something to tell the other boy. "N-nothing...Its n-nothing...!" He decided on. Well he found the boy and wasn't that what he wanted to do in the first place? There! Curiousity satisfied! Mystery vanishing boy found! It was time to get out of there. Now.
With a forced laugh he slithered away from the slide, slowly at first and then faster.
At first he didn't look to where he stopped. All he knew was that he was away from the tunnel slide and the apparently territorial boy. His tail wrapped itself into a makeshift bed and he curled himself into a nervous little ball, his arms wrapped securily around his stomach as though it hurt. He shook there for a moment or two, waiting for his upset stomach to calm itself down. When it finally did, he slowly unravelled himself from his safe little ball, peeking out hesitantly to see where he was. Hopefully near Tryst...but he'd take Riley or Rysha if he had to.
Instead, he saw dark skin, a tuft black tail and toys.

Tryst squatted down, or at least the reptilian equivalent, and leaned forward on her hands, peering curiously at the ring of flowers in Deidre's hands, and the flowers on the ground next to her.
Looking back up at Dei, Tryst couldn't help but ask "How'd you do that?" Her eyes were full of wonder at the pretty crown resting in the other girls hands. She saw her brother hurriedly scurrying away from the slide, and she glanced over to see him sitting in front of the other boy. Maybe the one in the slide hadn't wanted to talk.

Deidre giggled a little at the other girls amazement, "Like this." She said and weaved another flower onto the crown, "I can teach you if you want!" She offered with a smile and pushed some of the flowers next to her in front of her.
Romeo was pretty surprised when the other boy slithered up in front of him and curled up before looking around again, "You okay?" He asked looking at the boy both curious and hopeful, "You look scared." He noted hoping the boy was alright.
Clay was surprised when the kid suddenly took off. He wasn't disappointed though, he climbed his way back towards the top and peered his head out to watch the park.
Marco looked over to the other parents, "Adorable children." He complimented them with a smile. He had a strange presence about him, it was very calming.
